I think Victor should be smarter than this.. My understanding is that he brought his in-law in the deal to get some commission out from his agent, which is illegal. Maybe he promised to pay some money to the in-law from the commission but he heard some gossips from the in-law changed his mind. The problem here is: If his in-law takes this case to FIFA, then Victor is in trouble because he will have to explain how and why he took commission from his agent. So, FIFA will mandate him to pay that money to his in-law, because there’s an evidence that the agent paid the money to his in-law as commission. If Victor claims, the money is not his in-law’s money, then he will explain why his agent paid the money in the first place.. He will explain why he asked his in-law to remit the money to him.. You can’t be a footballer and make profits as commission for your transfer deal. He needs to call his in-law and stop this now. If his in-law goes to FIFA he will get into trouble and a lot of club will be tag his a fraud.. He played smart game on his agent, maybe his in-law became greedy, he should just pay him off and avoid the bigger problem.

It is a failure of the system in Nigeria. If the said ammount was duly paid to Mr Osita as wages for his services as a manager during a transfer deal of his client (Victor Oshimeh), the office of Mr. Osita should have paid between thirty to sixty percent of that ammount to the Federal Inland Revenue (FIR) in taxes - this is a standard in Europe and I suppose in Nigeria as well.
If Mr. Osita's office was duly bound within this ethics and have not acted shady, the need would not have arose to remit money due it to client (Victor Oshimeh) on grounds now been put forward by Mr. Osita - "I trust him, he is my inlaw".
This is consequential with shady dealings and that is why we now have in-fighting amongst family members. I am not exonerating Mr. Victor Oshimeh from all this but rather he should work soonest with all involved to resolve this and prevent a smear on his career.

I would really love to hear Victor side of the story, although I dont see Victor responding directly because of the PR around his brand.
