    So interesting about the beams leaching copper! Im gonna keep an eye on our acmeas and the porch beams.

      Yes, it is something that we often forget about., that plants and animals also experience elemental deficiencies or sensitivities. Sometimes to their detriment.😉

    Pressure treated lumber is nasty stuff. There is a lot more than just copper in it and the old stuff had arsenic. Im a contractor and we only is it for the bottom plate in homes and I never use it exposed to the elements. The termites and bugs won’t touch it and that’s why it is popular. Planters made with PT lumber can also leach copper and it will be sucked up in the bromeliad a few feet away.

      Thanks for that, yeah true. I think there are still some products in South Africa containing Arsenic... mehh

    We learning so bad is copper even fertizer with copper
