when you find the wild ducks, you can feed them with snails (they comes when it rains) after you feed them, all of the ducks are instantly following you 🦆
Darn, so we forcefully have to buy the motor 🥲. I got lucky and found 3 sprinklers but at least now I know not to waste time looking for a motor😅. Thanks for the tips!

To catch frogs, I never sprint since it rarely is a success for me. Instead I get somewhat close, then just move and stop constantly towards the frog in small steps, and then when your close enough, you get the catch message and you get the frog. The success rate is far far better for me with this method.
Tbh it's been so many months since I played Everdream Valley that I don't remember exactly how to unlock the animal shelter, but maybe buying it from the merchant or it should be in your build menu perhaps? :)

This game is cute and awesome already playing on steam thanks for the tips on it I plan on buying for my switch so I can play on it and my switch lite I am a big fan of it like Stardew and animal crossings new horizons also I play all the harvest moon games and wonderful life is releasing June 27 and another harvest moon is coming out late 2023 which looks good . Theses games are fun and relaxing it's nice to play on steam or the switch those are my favorite gaming consoles or PC choices again thank you 😊
I figured you can heard animals. Instead of petting them and make them follow you, just run behind them and they will go in opposite directions. When you have more than 1 animal this is easier and faster :)
😂 Glad someone appreciated that comment. As someone who's played a lot of Fortnite, Call of Duty, etc, it's sometimes tough to turn off the muscle memory of pulling out the shotty. 😋
Regarding the animal medicine, one of the recipe is weed. the weed grows all around your crops once in a while and it is replant able just like a normal crop. also about farming crops, the game requires you to plow into a land that is "green" enough to actually plow. what if the land isn't "green" enough, can the fertilizer make it greener maybe?

My first suggestion is to always sleep, save your game, and restart your game. Then, check which quests you have and see where their indicators are on your map. Some quests you have to wait for dreams to trigger the solutions to appear in game, so being patient is key. If you're still stuck, I'd suggest asking on Everdream Valley's Discord, especially since some issues are due to bugs on the Nintendo Switch version. ❤

If you mean the alpaca that's lying down on the island with the broken bridge, you are prompted to get the alpaca, and when you go there, Grandpa is there. He challenges you to a fishing competition, and when you win, he gives you nails to fix the bridge. To get that alpaca, you have to bring the other alpaca with you, then the lazy alpaca stands up and you can bring both back to the farm. The other alpaca is found to the north of the farm, and you can bring that one with you right away.

You can feed the chickens hay bales or sow the calamus seeds in their area. Not sure about the hammer if you sold the one you started with (try posting on the Everdream Valley Discord). You make cream in the cooking station. Cream Recipe: Container of milk + Bottle of Water (fill bottle with water in well)
How do you get seeds for the more vegetables - more cooking quest says to plant 3 different plants in the patches and I'm not sure where to find them!!
You begin the game with tomatoes, peppers, carrots, and eggplants already growing in your garden. I think all you have to do is wait until you can harvest these then hoe the ground and plant new ones with the veggies you harvested. There are no "seeds," you just plant them from what you collect.

I believe I was given two batches of nails, and this was enough to repair the bridges that needed nails to repair. The other bridges didn't need nails. You just have to go through the sequence of quests until you get them.
The electric motor is in one of the abandoned buildings where you do the pigs challenge! Too bad I bought mine before I found another one 😅 I however am having trouble bringing the entertaining goats home. They seem to be unable to come down from the cliff and stop at the edge while I can jump down...😢
You can craft the net early on after one of your grandparents brings up the topic of bugs. It would appear as a blueprint in your workshop bench outside the barn.

There has to be a dream that you haven't had yet then. Keep exploring and completing the quests you can and completing your dreams. If still stuck, try posting in the Everdream Discord.
What are we supposed to do about the quest with the strange noises. You get it from the merchant. The circle is small and is around his shop, but I can’t figure out what to do
I finally completed that today, after I found the bull and brought it back to the farm. That quest takes a while to complete because you need the nails to fix that bridge.
I just got an idea about throwing fruit in the pen but don't know if it works : how about planting a fruit tree inside the pen then kick it when it grows? Of course you'll need to put the basket away first before kicking it. By the way, how to put the bees in their hut? I've got the smoker and I've caught the bees from the northeast swarm called forest bees but I can't put them inside...
I didn't know the bee hives could be broken. I think you can eventually buy from the merchant, but if not, try posting in the Everdream Valley Discord for help.

I accidentally gave my treats to my dog before getting to the roaster quest. In order to make new treats I’ll need to fish but I haven’t made it to that far in grandpas story. Do I need to restart or can I skip the roaster quest and unlock fishing without doing it?
I don't see why not...especially because if you sell the extras, that should allow you to buy them again from the merchant if needed (at least that's how the buy/sell mechanic worked at game launch).
Did you kick the beaver dam once yet? I think that lowers the water level a bit to help with the goats. Otherwise, you just have to keep petting them and have them follow you back to the farm.
Hello! Hoping to get some help. I got the quest to sow the seeds for the primerose and I press the button to sow and I see seeds spraying out but nothing grows on the ground. I am in the yellow circle. I’m totally confused.
Hmm, I would probably quit (without saving if it won't take you back too far), close out and restart the game. Make sure the percentage of the quest completion isn't going up although you don't see the seeds spreading. If that still doesn't work, I'd contact the devs through their Discord.
I hope they can update it and you can cook inside the house and sleep and eat inside the house. It will be realistic as well if you need to eat due to doing lots of activities
I would try lowering your graphic settings, as that might be an issue. If you're on Switch, I'm not sure what settings are available, but on PC, there are several graphic setting levels.
awesome. I need help.. I found Willow the cow, im doing her penn but the sign grandpa gave me I added to the wrong area. how do i pick it up and replace at the cow new penn ?
@@helgaretrotv7509 that is strange. What if you put Willow where your sign is and enclose her area. Then you can either pick up the sign or buy a new one from the merchants and move Willow where you want.
I found my ducks early too but i tried releasing them into the pond with the ducks sign and it wont let me? Where do i put them for now and how do i get them into the pond ?
If I remember right, once you get them to follow you to the pond, they should just stay there, especially once you obtain the duck quest. The duck sign will tell you how many ducks are in the pond.
Hey BuckeyeBunny. Quick question... how do i feed my starving ducks? i tried snails and they just poke them and play with them.:/ I tried planting grass, sedge and calluous (the hay grass) and even wild flowers but they still say they are starving.. HELP!!! thanks.
Gosh, it's been about a year since I played Everdream Valley, but I thought you just threw snails at them or even give them hay bales. If that doesn't work, try saving, quitting, and restarting. Or, post the question in their Discord, as there might be a bug with feeding the ducks. 🤷♀️
I think I'm being stupid .. I have the materials for the goat quest of bringing 10 cubes of hay and 10 planks to the barn but whatever I do I cannot seem to do it? Please help haha
I am wondering if I failed the very first quest. I was chasing the third chicken when all of a sudden a wolf came and I haven’t been able to find the chicken since even though there’s a yellow circle it should be somewhere in. Did the wolf eat the chicken possibly?
I haven't heard of a wolf eating a chicken, no. I'd check your map for the chicken, and if you don't see it (you might be too early in the game for them to show), keep checking in the areas around the house and barn. You can see in my video where they are. :) Worse comes to worst, you can easily restart at that stage.
Any idea what to do with this. I cannot build the treehouse. I have the quest and know where all 3 possible trees are but cannot interact with those trees at all. Before I had to quest though, I could choose them for the treehouse. I have tried restarting the game (not the save) but it didn't help. I also have progressed to the Dream Lottery so I don't think anything is missing.
You can either put them with your cow, repair one of the two other pens in your field, or build a new one. Once you get the quest, add the sheep to the pen then get the sheep sign from your pocket and place it in their pasture.
After you complete the sheep challenge (putting them in a pasture that's fully enclosed), you should be able to buy a new sign from the merchant...but you should have received one. Check your storage for the sign.
@Buckeye Bunny ty, I got so tired playing lol no sign in my inventory and I did check with the merchant, I guess when I get on I will herd the rest of them, I just wish you could remove fencing because I grabbed the wrong thing and one pen has no gate lol
@Buckeye Bunny ok, I did buy several but do they have to connect to the pump or just other sprinklers? I was playing then shut it down to clean my ps4 out and then came back to play and it had an update and now it only loads to the loading screen with bees 😭😭
@@julesthrower8714 Just one connects to the pump. Daisy chain the sprinklers off of each other with garden hoses. I know they are working on patching the Playstation version.
Hello I'm stuck with irrigation quest and goat quest but in order to go in this area i need the pickaxe to clear the rocks on the way but the game doesn't give me any quest to get the pickaxe. Could you help please, i dunno what to do. I've build the only two bridges i can and explored all area... Now i dunno how to get that dawn pickaxe
You can run up to the chickens and pick them up and place them in their area (if that's what you mean by "tame"). I enclosed an area with fencing and put the chickens and their coops and nests inside.
If you have beetles or fish in your inventory, you can click the machine and add these. It will eventually turn them into insect treats (fish and animals like these) or dog treats.
I have several shorts videos about recipes, but you can also find them listed in your cooking station. You can stock your bee hives from the bees you find by where the goat is trapped behind the rocks.
Hmm, I'm not sure if you can move the bees between hives. That might be a question to post in their Discord. If I remember right, catching involves smoking them then interacting and catching them...but it's been a few weeks.
I just got to that quest when I ended my last play session, so I haven't completed it, but the tutorial said to grow seedlings in a nursery to help entice the beavers to move away from the boars' habitat. Press your map button and go to the Logs section and then Tutorials to see if that info might be there.

I was making all look pretty with flowers, hoarding materials, and catching bugs lol. Btw is there any way to regrow grass…. I need to remove planting plots but i can’t. Moving my plants behind and next the house.. they arent that worthy to have to many of them.
@@widaygames9329 I think you now get grass seeds when you chop grass, but I'm not sure if they've yet added the ability to plant grass over the ground you've tilled for your garden.

This game is fun and your guide very useful. Unfortunately, when playing on the Switch, the minigames only work in handheld mod3. For some reason the controls don't work or only work badly when playing on TV. And I prefer the latter 😢

For the nursery tree quest with the beavers, you have to craft nursery boxes and use the grown trees to plant in the areas. I showed this in my final Everdream Valley tips video.

If anyone needs the turbine for the irrigation system it's near the goatss during the quest. There is a building near them and it's inside.

You can also herd the ducks with dog and whistle. You can chase them in batch of two.

I was a fool and uhh.. cut down healthy apple trees thinking she meant those were old. All apple trees are dead on my farm lol

See 19:33. You get the pickaxe after a dream. The nails are given to you during the alpaca quest when you fish with Grandpa.

Have you kicked the beaver dam yet? I believe that reduces the water level just a bit, which can be problematic for the goats quest.

There has to be a dream that you haven't had yet then. Keep exploring and completing the quests you can and completing your dreams. If still stuck, try posting in the Everdream Discord.
What are we supposed to do about the quest with the strange noises. You get it from the merchant. The circle is small and is around his shop, but I can’t figure out what to do
I finally completed that today, after I found the bull and brought it back to the farm. That quest takes a while to complete because you need the nails to fix that bridge.
I just got an idea about throwing fruit in the pen but don't know if it works : how about planting a fruit tree inside the pen then kick it when it grows? Of course you'll need to put the basket away first before kicking it. By the way, how to put the bees in their hut? I've got the smoker and I've caught the bees from the northeast swarm called forest bees but I can't put them inside...
If you walk up to a hive that can accept more bees, a button should pop up to add bees.

I didn't know the bee hives could be broken. I think you can eventually buy from the merchant, but if not, try posting in the Everdream Valley Discord for help.

The goat's not there for me, but there's a goat hanging around the merchant. Do you think that's the one, or would I be stealing the merchant's pet goat?
How can I find nails for other bridges than the alpaca one ? Or are the will be open cause of missions as well?
Upon completing quests, you are given enough nails to fix the remaining bridges.
I accidentally gave my treats to my dog before getting to the roaster quest. In order to make new treats I’ll need to fish but I haven’t made it to that far in grandpas story. Do I need to restart or can I skip the roaster quest and unlock fishing without doing it?
Oof, that's rough. I don't remember if finding the rooster unlocks anything. That early in the game, you might consider restarting.

I actually didn't have any treats left as well, but it counted as completed just by finding the rooster on the tree without the dog leading me to it.

I don't see why not...especially because if you sell the extras, that should allow you to buy them again from the merchant if needed (at least that's how the buy/sell mechanic worked at game launch).

How do you sell animals? I know it has to be easy.. do you go do something in the fenced in area around the sales guy?
Lead your animals to the roped off area behind the merchant then talk to the merchant and sell them.

Did you kick the beaver dam once yet? I think that lowers the water level a bit to help with the goats. Otherwise, you just have to keep petting them and have them follow you back to the farm.
Hello! Hoping to get some help. I got the quest to sow the seeds for the primerose and I press the button to sow and I see seeds spraying out but nothing grows on the ground. I am in the yellow circle. I’m totally confused.
Hmm, I would probably quit (without saving if it won't take you back too far), close out and restart the game. Make sure the percentage of the quest completion isn't going up although you don't see the seeds spreading. If that still doesn't work, I'd contact the devs through their Discord.
I hope they can update it and you can cook inside the house and sleep and eat inside the house. It will be realistic as well if you need to eat due to doing lots of activities
I’m having trouble with the graphics. Like the grass loading choppy and some other things. Any tip to improve the settings?
I would try lowering your graphic settings, as that might be an issue. If you're on Switch, I'm not sure what settings are available, but on PC, there are several graphic setting levels.
awesome. I need help.. I found Willow the cow, im doing her penn but the sign grandpa gave me I added to the wrong area. how do i pick it up and replace at the cow new penn ?
You should be able to walk up to the sign and see an option to pick it up.

@@helgaretrotv7509 that is strange. What if you put Willow where your sign is and enclose her area. Then you can either pick up the sign or buy a new one from the merchants and move Willow where you want.
I found my ducks early too but i tried releasing them into the pond with the ducks sign and it wont let me? Where do i put them for now and how do i get them into the pond ?
If I remember right, once you get them to follow you to the pond, they should just stay there, especially once you obtain the duck quest. The duck sign will tell you how many ducks are in the pond.
Hey BuckeyeBunny. Quick question... how do i feed my starving ducks? i tried snails and they just poke them and play with them.:/ I tried planting grass, sedge and calluous (the hay grass) and even wild flowers but they still say they are starving.. HELP!!! thanks.
Gosh, it's been about a year since I played Everdream Valley, but I thought you just threw snails at them or even give them hay bales. If that doesn't work, try saving, quitting, and restarting. Or, post the question in their Discord, as there might be a bug with feeding the ducks. 🤷♀️
I think I'm being stupid .. I have the materials for the goat quest of bringing 10 cubes of hay and 10 planks to the barn but whatever I do I cannot seem to do it? Please help haha

I am wondering if I failed the very first quest. I was chasing the third chicken when all of a sudden a wolf came and I haven’t been able to find the chicken since even though there’s a yellow circle it should be somewhere in. Did the wolf eat the chicken possibly?
I haven't heard of a wolf eating a chicken, no. I'd check your map for the chicken, and if you don't see it (you might be too early in the game for them to show), keep checking in the areas around the house and barn. You can see in my video where they are. :) Worse comes to worst, you can easily restart at that stage.
What to do about the bee sting? It took me quite a lot of stamina, but the patches don't work on it.
You have to eat fruit, berries or cooked recipes to raise the stamina back up from bee stings
I always keep my smoker with me so have never been stung, but Miya answered you below. :)
Any idea what to do with this. I cannot build the treehouse. I have the quest and know where all 3 possible trees are but cannot interact with those trees at all. Before I had to quest though, I could choose them for the treehouse. I have tried restarting the game (not the save) but it didn't help. I also have progressed to the Dream Lottery so I don't think anything is missing.

This helped a lot but there is nothing about making a sheep pen? I'm stuck! Lol
You can either put them with your cow, repair one of the two other pens in your field, or build a new one. Once you get the quest, add the sheep to the pen then get the sheep sign from your pocket and place it in their pasture.
@Buckeye Bunny I did put one sheep in one I added fencing to, but I don't have a sheep sign, I only had the cow one and I don't see the recipe for one
After you complete the sheep challenge (putting them in a pasture that's fully enclosed), you should be able to buy a new sign from the merchant...but you should have received one. Check your storage for the sign.
@Buckeye Bunny ty, I got so tired playing lol no sign in my inventory and I did check with the merchant, I guess when I get on I will herd the rest of them, I just wish you could remove fencing because I grabbed the wrong thing and one pen has no gate lol
Use your axe and you can destroy the fencing. You'll get some of the wood back and can make new fencing.
You can only set up one hose to one sprinkler? I tried a few and it didn't work?
No, you can connect lots of hoses/sprinklers to one water pump. Just have your garden hose out and connect from one sprinkler to another.

@@julesthrower8714 Just one connects to the pump. Daisy chain the sprinklers off of each other with garden hoses.
I know they are working on patching the Playstation version.
Hello I'm stuck with irrigation quest and goat quest but in order to go in this area i need the pickaxe to clear the rocks on the way but the game doesn't give me any quest to get the pickaxe. Could you help please, i dunno what to do. I've build the only two bridges i can and explored all area... Now i dunno how to get that dawn pickaxe
Also the game is supposed to be relaxing but it's the opposite because of the damn stamina bar... Whoever made this bar is really idiot lol
Did you see the video at 19:33? There was a bee dream before I was given the pickaxe by my grandparent.
Console v ersion is glitched some quests don't show up, or I there's a lag between stuff we can collect ,I never found snails
I would post these types of issues in the Everdream Discord, as the devs have been working on fixing the Playstation problems.

You get two sets of nails upon completing quests. The first is from Grandpa when fishing with him.

You can run up to the chickens and pick them up and place them in their area (if that's what you mean by "tame"). I enclosed an area with fencing and put the chickens and their coops and nests inside.
Where do you find the fishing rod
Grandpa gives it to you during a fishing quest.
How do you use the Animal Treat Machine in the barn?
If you have beetles or fish in your inventory, you can click the machine and add these. It will eventually turn them into insect treats (fish and animals like these) or dog treats.

You mention cooking but what about recipes? You mention the bees but how do I catch more and add them to the hives?
I have several shorts videos about recipes, but you can also find them listed in your cooking station. You can stock your bee hives from the bees you find by where the goat is trapped behind the rocks.

Hmm, I'm not sure if you can move the bees between hives. That might be a question to post in their Discord. If I remember right, catching involves smoking them then interacting and catching them...but it's been a few weeks.
Could you help me how to do the quest “get rid of the water from the boar’s home” how can i do the growing tree parts where should i grow them?
I just got to that quest when I ended my last play session, so I haven't completed it, but the tutorial said to grow seedlings in a nursery to help entice the beavers to move away from the boars' habitat. Press your map button and go to the Logs section and then Tutorials to see if that info might be there.

Early on, one of your grandparents will give you the blueprint, and you can go to your workbench and make it.

I'm not aware of a time limit.
Question… how do you build a fence. Instead of fixing I destroyed it
You can craft fence panels in your workbench, though you have to have enough wood and sawn boards.

I was making all look pretty with flowers, hoarding materials, and catching bugs lol. Btw is there any way to regrow grass…. I need to remove planting plots but i can’t. Moving my plants behind and next the house.. they arent that worthy to have to many of them.
@@widaygames9329 I think you now get grass seeds when you chop grass, but I'm not sure if they've yet added the ability to plant grass over the ground you've tilled for your garden.

This game is fun and your guide very useful.
Unfortunately, when playing on the Switch, the minigames only work in handheld mod3. For some reason the controls don't work or only work badly when playing on TV. And I prefer the latter 😢
It's very sad that Everdream has had such issues on the Switch. :( Frustrating for Switch players I'm sure.
So I grabbed several trees (not from the water area but close to it) and it is still not updating that I planted them. Am I doing something wrong? I am playing on the switch
For the nursery tree quest with the beavers, you have to craft nursery boxes and use the grown trees to plant in the areas. I showed this in my final Everdream Valley tips video.

I’m not sure if my game is broken, because I do not get those „dream sequenz“ at the point with the bees and the goat. Am I missing something or do I really have to start again?
It took me a few days to get the dreams at night. I think you have to do things in game to trigger the dreams, so keep going and complete quests. :)

Quests are only marked as completed if you complete them. It's automatic.

During the alpaca quest, you'll fish with Grandpa. Then, you'll get the fishing rod and your first set of nails.
