It’s a unwritten rule that if you’re listening to free bird while driving, you must speed when this part starts.
And if your on a balcony get on top of the railing and just feel the wind. 😂
i encountered that problem this morning lol, its impossible
Man that unlocked a memory of my buddy and 16 year old me jammin to this song and hitting 80 mph on a straight road in my parents Camry. Almost flew off into a ditch at the end, good times.
Its true. If I'm a passenger I just put on my seatbelt, grab the O-shit handle, and give the driver a nod.
I passed 4 cars on a solid line going uphill listening to this song
CUT IT OUT - Shane Gillis. Iconic
I already know marks arm is tired
Great edit buddy 👍
Russia CUT IT OUT
Shane killed it when he came in on the air voice guitar like he legitimately hit that hoe!
Yeah dude, I've never heard anyone talking about it, but after all the episodes of mssp I've watched, I think Shane might seriously be pitch perfect. Every time I've ever heard him randomly break into song it's been totally on point and in tune
@@deadbeataffiliates thats the autism
That’s my favourite part
He’s been practicing 😂 ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxRU_KCiSZ69j6_ZYvpKyQPBx3gLbxznGL?si=w4sf6qztRTodPAjy
@@deadbeataffiliates That is relative pitch. Perfect pitch would be hearing any sound and naming the notes.
“We’re a couple fucked up white guys” 😂
Should be noted that this happened around the 4 hour mark out of 5 😂😂😂
4 hour Mark Normand out of 5 😂
My mom hydroplaned in a rainstorm while I was playing this song in the car. She was quite panicked so I was trying to comfort her but I kept almost laughing since we started spinning during that epic solo
They see me hydroplanin
They hatin
Should have played comfortably numb afterwards
Just 6 guys jamming to Skynrd. One of the best podcast moments in history.
Who are the other 2 guys?
Are you counting yourself?
@@jamiepasquariello2652he might be including jamie and you, the viewer.
@@jamiepasquariello2652he including Jamie and whoever is watching
@@jamiepasquariello2652you and Jamie bro
Mark shouting “Vivek” during the solo does it for me 😂
He may not be the funniest of the group but he makes me laugh the most whenever they’re together
@@dongatello6969 he completes the group
Mark Normand is unable to shut up for more than 6 secs! Mark Normand: “yea like 6 second abs”
“It’s one of the only songs ever where the music is better than the song”
- Joe Rogan
Jesus fucking Christ I can’t stand joe talking about music 😂
I scrolled to this as he said it and almost dropped my phone lol
Mushrooms are one hell of a drug
One of my favorite JRE moments. At the end of the day, it's just four guys (and Jaime) enjoying a wholesome moment, on top of the world
“And Jaime” is so heinous 😭😭😭😭
i feel like im watching live action king of the hill
Which comedians are which characters?
@@michaelrfalkowski2446 Ari = Bill could have been super popular but does everything to ruin it for himself, Shane = Dale out there but oddly knowledgeable about history and inner workings, Mark = Boomhauer randomly saying stuff that only half of people understand, Joe = Hank tries to be parent to the group but loves having fun and finding common ground
Bro, you nailed it!@@PizzaJesus
This is the greatest clip of the JRE ever.
If you were going to compile the top 100 JRE clips, 95 would be from 2010-2015ish.
This clip would be one of the top modern era clips.
3:50 best part😂😂😂 I’m crying
Hilarious moment
And great editing, Matt
This is a timeless gem of a video
That's not edited, that's how it was on the episode. Was a funny moment though.
@@marksnowden89 interesting, I only listen to the podcast, never have watched. I assumed the faces blurring into one another was an edit by the uploader but good stuff nevertheless
All the credit goes to Jamie for this one. I'm simply just the upload guy lol
Thousands of hours rehearsing and writing in a hot tin shed with no air, is what lead to the perfection of Lynyrd Skynyrd
I love how much Mark Normand gets more into the solo as it progresses - Allen Collins was an absolute beast and because they’d played the song live hundreds of times before the band recorded it, He nailed the solo once, then did it again the very next take. They takes are so tight that it sounds like they were being played by two guitarists at the same time. This level of musicianship is rare these days - it’s like they captured lightning in a bottle!!!
What a comment, may you be well.
Any of randy roads solos make this sound like turds, and randy roads isnt even top 5
Interesting, so is it a fact that it was Allen Collins playing both lead parts during this solo?
Billy’s piano solo before this song live would make you cry.
Mark’s constant commentary 😂
His random comments are the best thing about "Protect Our Parks". I laugh everytime he says "Pull it uuuuup"
🤣
Did you hear at the end when he calls Ari a dumb Jew in a bucket hat? 😂😂😂
I was cracking up listening to this
He is an annoying autisic.
Pull it uuuup
3:51 😂 Shane knows what's up
hahaha so so good 🤣
thinking same thing, he's listened to this song plenty of times. love this song , for that solo!!
I love that
Shane is the fucking man
Shane's THE bro
I used to play the sh*t out of this on guitar hero.
I hate when youre trying to show someone a song and they just talk over it instead of experiencing the build up
My parents in the 70s both saw the original Skynyrd each 4 times and they both said they were the greatest live band they ever saw, their shows were incredible. So fucking jealous of them lol
If you think about it. Your seed was probably planted during this Solo.
That’s cause Ronnie made them practice so much
There will never be another band like Skynyrd. Ever.
Indeed
Greatest American band of all time
Girls: "He's probably out there cheating"
Guys:
Hell yeah Joe. I agree. Best guitar solo ever. It is the pride of Jacksonville Florida where I was born and raised!
I would only argue with eruption, through the fire and flames, or anything Tim Henson lol
Ihhh. Uuuhhh. Duh. I’ve only heard 10 songs my whole life. Diuurrrrr
But he's the worst air guitarist ever
Stairway to heaven solo is the best. But this is awesome too.
Maggot Brain, no contest
My favorite part is that Allen collins (the dude shredding) is playing a 1958 Gibson explorer. One of only 19 made. A 58' explorer on its own is worth north of a million dollars, not to mention that one was not only owned and played by Allen in skynyrds most notorious concert ever, but it was previously owned by Eric Clapton. I don't Even know if you could put a price on that guitar. It now sits in the rock and roll hall of fame.
I saw Skynyrd at Soldier Field in 1977, three months before the plane crash, at the Super Bowl of Rock. Ted Nugent was the headliner. Awesome concert. 3 car loads of us, all tripping on LSD.
Pretty sure my dad was ALSO at that concert.
Tripping on LSD as well. 😂🙌
I would kill to have like a month vacation to the 70's.
It was a good time to be around. I was 10 in 1970, and I still have a good memory of growing up. A lot of my friends have passed away already.@@profoundwanderer1441
Saw them w/Frampton at JFK Stadium in Philly in Summer 77
Seeing joe vibe is always my favorite thing lmao
"THIS IS GUYS HAVIN FUN DUDE , THIS THE UNITED STATES OF AMIERICA DUDE"
So cringe.
God I thought I was the only one.
Allman Brothers > Lynyrd Skynyrd
Motorcycles are cooler than planes.
I wish Joe could've seen my friend David shred his guitar in my basement in 2016, it was so sick.
Just best friends having a blast and rocking out. Such a awesome moment
When the plane was going down Ronnie Van Zant grabbed a bottle of Jack and said he wanted to go down drinking! Thats a fucking legend!!!! Witnesses survived and confirmed it but unfortunately the fact he stood and chugged Jack instead of buckling in probably cost him his life ironically
3:00
is about where i started cracking up when i heard this on the pod... hahahaha
Of course Joe thinks Freebird has the best solo of all time, it's just repeating the exact same thing over and over and over again.
This is the best comment, but most people are so stupid I'll probably be the only one to like it. Seriously, reading RUclips comments will make you lose faith in humanity.
The way ari reacts after he chugs that American eagle is priceless lol
Joe Rogan = gen X but acts like a boomer. Bill Maher =boomer but acts like hes gen X. They need to do another one itll be hilarious
Gen X know, love and appreciate Skynyrd. How is that acting like a boomer? And on behalf of gen X, we don’t like Maher.
-Sincerely a Gen X (1974)
Comfortably numb live at Pompeii 2016 by David Gilmour is the greatest guitar solo of all time
This ☝️
Free Bird’s is great, but yeah Joe is smoking crack saying it’s the greatest of all time. Comfortably Numb is leagues better
@@dylanhealy8126 if you like pink floyd check out the pigs(three different ones) solo. Can make a grown man cry. Also jimi hendrix goes nuts on band of gypsys. Free bird is still an all time great tho. Surefire way of using your car's entire speedometer
Thank you
Nah man, the 94 Pulse one is one of the best solos of all time
Ari looks like the first Jewish guy trying to rock to freebird 😂
Yes I teared up during this part lol❤
I swear protect our parks is just every hangout in high school.
Shane going off on Russia and Biden absolutely killed me
Allen Collins s made this solo up when he was 14
Here because of Matt and Shane, sup DAWGS.
This song makes the ending of Devils Rejects, one of the top 3 movie scenes of all time.
It is perhaps the greatest ending of a movie ever, genuinely.
Young guys talkin ….ol guys dead silent ….respect to aris hit
The free bird doctrine: if you are caught committing war crimes with this song, you automatically innocent
Highway song by Blackfoot has a similar progression. Picks up halfway through and is like a sister to free bird.
This is amusing because one of Joes heros from 30 years ago (Bill Hicks) used to say people who hyped up Freebird should be shot and that was in the 90s
Yeah but Bill Hicks probably sucked to hang out with too. He was poignant but also kind of a douche. Ari even made a good point that Hicks actually wasn’t even that funny, he just had good insight.
POV: me and the boys loosing $10,000 collectively on a football bet but we forgot
Solo hits harder than my dad
Mark no rhythm Normand
“How much of this can we play?”
Her: “he’s probably cheating on me with other girls”
Him:
🤣 that grizzly man joke
Joe, I still don't think This is The Best Guitar Solo Cause this Is Just A Few Of The Best Guitar Solos And as A Guitarist Myself Free Bird 🐦 is just full of bends and Hammer ONS on the Guitar and that's All and I would Prefer Comfortably Numb.
Alan Collins was a beast
that's awesome!! haha dude fuck the stones anyway, Skynard's easily a million times better imo.
It’s not even close to the best solo. Stairway and Comfortably Numb are way over this.
Lynard skynard killed this song
This is what I show ladies when they ask me: “what do guys talk about when they’re out together”
"The music is better than the song..." - Joe Rogan
Was this the first time they've heard this song?? Lol
It’s a good solo but def not the best . Metallica has albums full of solos better than this
What a group of gays.
Putin been real quiet since this dropped
what about stevie ray vaughan ...
When listening to music with friends, the ones that make the most noise during the best parts are the ones that just don’t know jack sh** about music. Keep the quiet ones around you.
yeah mark normand is a little jewey vampire who cant relax because his shekels might decrease
Allman Brothers are the pride of Florida , baybay!
....Tom Petty?
@@hotrox2112 honestly, I’d put “eat a peach” up against any of Petty’s albums; it’s one of the best in my opinion.
Are they tripping here?
its freebird joe you dummy, of course it's good. it's one of the most popular songs of all time
russia... cut it out ! hahahah
lol Joe vibin so hard
Even the jew likes it
Russia, cut it out !!!!
“Russia cut it out!!”
Why does Joe still have psychopath Ari Shaffir on??
ADL probably forced him.
Ari cringe here
The whole song is great, even besides the solo
Joe needs to listen to some eddie hazel or maggot brain if he wants to start talking about great guitar solos.
First time I heard maggot brain was like a psychedelic trip in itself
Best thing I ever heard was Lynard Skynard was the name of the PE Teacher in high school! 🙌🏼
Joe is like the dorky kid in school you're friends with only because his mom makes good food
yea if you are a huge loser who has to connect people with highschool experiences lmao
"Mothership"
Hes got the pantry full of snacks too 😂😂
I don't understand why ari is a thing. He's not funny and is always the weakest link in all these. Why is he a thing?
He's a jew. Gotta have the token jew the ADL said.
cringe
dude! the way u edited it this is so great 😂🤘great to see em letting loose
He didnt edit it. Jaimie did the editing live
Can’t stand Ari
Exactly. He's a coat tail rider.
Humanity at its finest right here 😂😂😂
One of the top ten moments in Rock history! FreeBird at Knebworth breaking rules on Mick’s tongue! ❤️🎶
Like watching a bunch of drunk teenagers. Should be embarrassed if their audience didn’t share same mentality
I’m sure your very smart.
@@kylelaforest9919 *you’re very smart
Im sorry but a guy like joe rogan who gets his rocks off from time elves getting really into freebird is funny to me
Crazy time it's like anyone that was really great in that era , God took em early.
"These guys died in a plane crash"
some of em did
Imagine if Joe heard "Green Grass and High Tides". His rocky head would explode!
one of the corniest moments of Rogan, immortalized.
Drinking before the bar singing along, should be a good night.
I'm still waiting for the day somebody at a taylor swift concert shouts the forbidden phrase "play Freebird"
Lol jamie going nuts on the faders
