When I first watched Buffy I was 15 years old. Seeing Willow and Tara made me realize that their relationship was what I wanted and it began my journey to realizing that I was gay and finally being okay with it. Words cannot explain how much this show and relationship mean to me.
DomiiikJ I started watching this when I was about 2, and I saw once more with feeling first, so I saw willow and tara and thought that was normal. then I was confused because of my mom and dad.
My Willow and Tara heart! After 20 years, and they look more amazing than ever! Forever one of the best TV couples of all time 💜 Willow and Tara is true love!
I loved Willow and Tara and they were the couple who helped me discover I was gay and gave me the courage to come out to my family. Thank you Joss and the writers for writing this beautiful relationship
If you find somebody to love, it doesnt matter the gender, the sex, the whatever, you find somebody who gets you and you get them, you are so lucky. So powerful.
While Willow and Tara's storyline was playing out, I was learning my way as Wiccan clergy/mentor. A lot of the kids who found Wicca were also discovering same-sex relationships, and were deeply invested in what Alyson Hannigan and Amber Benson portrayed. I'm deeply grateful to them and to Joss Whedon for what they so beautifully created.
1:58 - 2:12 Such an underrated romantic line and scene(with Tara stroking Will's sleeve)...💞 Aaand right after this video I got a commercial with 2 women kissing!😄🥰
@@Tofast4ya1234 There's a comic book, where she at least ends up in bed with another slayer. I'm not gonna say, that that neccessarily makes her gay, but she's at least somewhat open to it.
Is it? Cheating on your partner and being mean to people at the office when you aren't getting your way makes you a jerk, maybe even worse, but it doesn't make the stories you're telling less or more feminist. Joss' problem appears to be about control issues, not gender.
You didn't see the foreshadowing? I felt they foreshadowed Tara's death quite a lot there is sooo much foreshadowing in this show, they foreshadowed Dawn's appearance for about two seasons and even Willow coming out was joked about in the background for a few episodes
Huge Melrose fan so I immediately thought of Matt Fielding. Matt's storylines, when the MP writers actually wrote for him, were not a coming of age story. Matt was already an out-and-proud gay man when MP premiered. I think what they meant here was that Willow was the first gay character on network TV where we got to see her actual journey to self-discovery.
I've always said that Willow and Tara were one of the greatest tv couples, ever, bar none. Thanks for posting this video. Brought a few tears to my eyes. How I adored BTVS.
Willow & Tara are an absolute gift to the world, and I will never stop missing them.

DomiiikJ Same. Got me out of my conservative Christian viewpoint and made me accept that I am bi. Huge deal to me.
lol you do realise that bi isn't a political position lol i'm a bi Conservative atheist.

That cool I was only 10 when I watched buffy the vampire slayer
Sameeeee but I was 10 at the time. Willow and Tara showed me it was ok to be me.❤❤❤
One of the worst things to happen in television history was them killing off Tara and ending such a beautiful relationship 😢😢
Couldn't stand her , oz was better
To this day, Willow and Tara are still one of my all-time my favorite TV couple. Beautiful relationship.
Beautiful words from Amber Benson! She's so right with it. It's about two people fall in love. Their gender doesn't matter

I've always loved your acting Alyson. I loved you as Willow, you were one of the sweetest, most adorable characters in the TV show.
I'd say *THE* sweetest most adorable character!;-3 ❤❤❤❤

I am a straight man and I thought their relationship was loving and caring and that Tara will always be Willows soul mate :)
I second that!🤝💞
Tara's death was the saddest moment of the show
Damn Amber Benson's voice in real life is a lot more articulate wow 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Very well said Amber! thank you!
It was so perfectly appropriate. Every girl I know who was Wiccan in college was also gay or bi. Or experimented. It was such a thing in the 90s.
Thank you for posting this!!! 💚💜
I just wish Tara was alive. Ugh no matter how much I try to get over it, I just can’t. I CANT 🤦🏽♀️
"I will always find you" - Wow what a line Alyson!
I'm gay and they were a great couple for me very positive.
THANK U FOR POSTING THIS THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Tara's death made me so mad. Her and Willow were beautiful together. 😤😤😤

If buffy has a reunion please bring tara back
Beautiful couple ever
ICONIC!!!
the show helped me becoause it helped me coming out
Good for you!
Always had a feeling Buffy was gay 😂😂😂
It may have been wishful thinking on my part but i thought there was a spark between buffy ad faith. I could imagine Faith trying anything once.

It's weird seeing Joss now talk about his "feminist" show

I want to hear them talk about why they killed her off. God damn stray bullets!

Oh thank you! Wow, so they had it planned since the end of season 5? That's surprising.
You didn't see the foreshadowing? I felt they foreshadowed Tara's death quite a lot there is sooo much foreshadowing in this show, they foreshadowed Dawn's appearance for about two seasons and even Willow coming out was joked about in the background for a few episodes
Nah totally missed that one. I know about Dawn and Willow though. Have any examples?
@@EAC1215 How did they foreshadow Tara's death?🤨
Everything about Buffy the Vampire slayer was a perfect allegory or metaphor for growing up female
They were the Uhura of their generation.
Willow and Tara are the perfect couple ❤ Alyson and Amber portrayed them amazingly - they deserve huge props for everything they gave us
R.I.P. Tara
Kennedy made two RUclips accounts just to dislike this lol Aww memories. I always just smiled when they came in screen.
Kennedy never hated Tara, she didn't even met her!!
(Yes,I know it was a joke, but I'm so sick of all the Kennedy hate!😣)
Meu Deus tô surtando
amo demais essas duas...
se tiverem vídeo legendado por favor postem.
Willow and Tara were adorable together. I never liked Kennedy though.
I agreen on W&T. I disagree on K.
This show had some strong relationships, but Tara and Willow's connection felt the most natural to me - as I'm sure a lot of others might agree.
Joss, you're amazing
This comment did not age well.
Me encantan.
I'm a staight old white guy. Amber was my favorite character in the series. I hated the way she died.
como adoro essas garotas... quase chorando de alegria.
0:13 Matt Fielding from Melrose Place?

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Tara the best!
Not really a question about sexuality. Tara is Willow's first mature relationship. The ones with - Zander, Oz and even Gilles were more like crushes.
I don't think you can compare her relationship with Oz to her crushes over Xander and GILES!X-P
Wish joss made season 8
Queria muito legenda em português
Michelle branch should see this
What happened to Alyson Hannigan's nose 😱😂😂😂
