They're simply Mijikenda. • In addition, the Kiswahili language itself is not a mixture of Bantu & Arabic words. • Kiswahili is largely made up of Bantu words with foreign words mixed in e.g Jewish (baraka), Arabic (shukrani) and English (beseni). • Another example? Pilau & Biryani often eaten in weddings are actually Hindu (chakula cha wahindi). These weddings are not 'Swahili.' They're primarily Arab & Hindu inspired, with African influence here and there.
