Castings loose on the ground always seem to be Cybertruck. Trimmed or untrimmed. Maybe untrimmed don't fit or don't fit easily into the racks. Recent Munro/IDRA video stated that the castings are trimmed immediately after removal from the press. They seem to be skipping that process sometimes. Model Y rear in the racks from 13:41 to 13:47, then Cybertruck.
@@DessieDoolan If you say so...but there sure are a lot of castings stacked high in those racks @ 13:41 ! Over 2100 Model Y castings in those two stacks you enumerate. Also aren't there 3 castings for the Cybertruck, one big one in the rear an one for each side of the front?
@@shazam6274 You're probably right, more Model Y right now. It's been the opposite for a while with the Cybertruck castings stacked anywhere flat. What we haven't seen here for a long time is Model Y front castings. Do see them at Berlin though which is puzzling.
They are re-tooling the line in preparation for Juniper. I bet if you fly over the crash test area, you may see a juniper sometime soon. Not too sure if they have to "re test" or not since the juniper is just a refresh.
@@adam33555 we have no way to know it for sure. Even if so, retooling does not happen overnight and they need to prepare all their factories to switch simultaneously
@@adam33555 Does not mean they have not done several retools and line upgrades. They are also potentially building next gen on the same line since they abandoned unboxed process. My "guess" is they are really fine tuning the line for future growth and expansions and prioritizing that over production.

The chargers are 1/2 Ys and 1/2 cybers. Lots of Ys in the outbound lot as well.

Absolutely not true. We are 6 months out from Juniper in North America

Especially given that Canada has imposed a massive tariff on EVs from China, where alll its Teslas were coming from.
