This is marvelous! For those that are curious about some history of Sebring as a race back in the 1960s, there are some RUclips clips that shows the *free-for-all* there was for the start of the race. It was certainly a _dare-devil_ era that would never allow to be repeated nowadays because of safety concerns.
Really, well done Ferrari. A podium on the very first outing is absolutely brilliant. Some important real time race data has been gathered and it can only get better. FORZA FERRARI !!!! ❤❤❤
You have to say though, if not for their questionable strategy at the start and quite a few penalties/problems due to pit stops they might have actually had the potential to outright win the race
Ferrari could've easily have finished 3rd and 4th in this race if Pier Guidi wouldn't have crashed. This is a great start for Ferrari with a completely new car and the 499P clearly has lots of potential. If Toyota wouldn't be in WEC then Ferrari would've won on their debut...let that sink in.
Toyota needs to be careful if they still want to win because their dominance in WEC could possibly end this year since they're not the only racing team with hybrid hypercars anymore. While Peugeot is still suffering reliability issues, Porsche, Cadillac and Ferrari did great and these are also big companies, so Toyota will need to push harder. As for Peugeot, I don't think their hybrid hypercars will finish Le Mans without falling apart.
@@jaiganticpooey3012 I hope so too. Since there are 5 significant car brands which use hybrid hypercars and the pure ICE hypercar's brands are small and there are only few of those cars, we can't rule out the possibility of FIA favoring hybrid hypercars in BoP and the requests of these small car brands to give them boost in BoP might fall into deaf ears. People accuse FIA of being all about money after all.
Very strong start to the campaign with a brand-new car, despite the "Ferrari" moments.
Tough day but made it to the finish, well done!

Ottimo esordio alla fine. La macchina sembra davvero buona.

@@hikari2752 I'm hoping a good BoP will provide close racing regardless of who wins

No Cadillac would have finished 4th even without the crash of the 51 they had a better pace

What I would give to drive such a car...
Not being able to deploy the hybrid system at lower speeds is really hurting the corner exit of these hypercars
Almeno nel wec la Ferrari è competitiva e affidabile
