Contrary to what some of the comments say on here the percussion sound is popular in the organ sound of reggae, depending on taste it might be a bit softer but it was definitely there. It's just a shame that most of the classic users have passed away. I used to work with Steelie from Steelie and Cleavie. Wish he was still here as I really would have loved to ask his opinion and pick his brains about the organ sound
Nice! For reggae, I personally prefer the 80000008 registration on the upper manual with C2 chorus and soft, fast, 3rd harmonic percussion through a reverb (preferably of the spring type) through a slow Leslie (in that order).
Boa noite queria uma formação o cod 01 barra da vida tem esses tipo de som para reggae promete para matar música de reggae som mais grave no piano aliás no o foco né e dá o som grave como é que eu faço para descobrir isso
hi man!! great video, i'm searching for this tipical drawbars setting ( ruclips.net/video/aEnfy9qfdaU/видео.html ) but i can't find it, could you find it just earing?? and say me please......(it's a Ben Harper song) thank you very much
BS. "Could You Be Loved", "Forever Loving Jah", "Downpressor Man", "Chant a Psalm", "Handsworth Revolution", "A Song", "Lost Mi Love", are just a few songs which come to mind that use percussion. Unless you think that you know more than Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Steel Pulse, Yellowman etc.
The percussion shouldn't be there. Instead, that "timbre" should be played by the guitar on the up-stroke. To get a proper wub (which I call it, more commonly known as bubble) you can't have percussion on the organ. It breaks through too much.

Thanks so much for this: used your settings on my Korg CX3 (with Neo Ventilator and T-Rex Room-Mate reverb) and it sounded superb. Much appreciated.
Awesome. Although to my ears, "soft" percussion still sounds rather strong... :P

Excellent.

Amazing sound.
Exelente profe, saludos
What about on a Lowrey TLO?
Decent reggae organ, although I don't think that percussion was commonly used. Nice bubble sound though!
wondering if the percussion is used to approximate reggae piano in the right hand..
Beautiful
THANKYOU for this. buddha bliss
Hey Paulo, you can even play the organ, is there no keyboard you can't play?
I'm assuming in Italy the B+ is 50hz instead of 60hz kin the US. The sound is slightly altered somehow. Even the chorus is kind of different
Well, I'm in the U.S. but this is an XK-3c (clonewheel), not an original electro-mechanical model
How play Gregory issacs once ago? Plz

You never use percussion with reggae. Listen to Jackie Mitto or Roots Radics.

remove percussion
Doesn't sound right with the percussion. Nice organ tho
+KKLL THE CONUERING RULER would love to see Pablove Black or Keith Sterling do one of these tutorials to get that Studio One organ sound
That would be cool
