My girlfriend and I are going to to take a break from pokemon go after go fest in New York. I’m already playing less. It’s gotten boring and I really don’t like Niantic. They don’t listen to us and it even feels like they just want to spite us now. I can take a hint.
Honestly, I've been considering taking a break for other games. I already vastly decreased my daily playtime and the only thing keeping me interested is GO Fest. Not sure how I'll feel after
OMG bad luck protection would be absolutely crucial. I paid for Keldeo and my stats suck. IV protection would be nice for rare things like that. Boosted IV floor for Go tour 10K regional eggs and one off mythicals like Zarude and Keldeo of 12s instead of 10s would be a huge boost to player morale.
1:50 truth Count, what boggles my mind is, if they have the remote raid passes, why don’t they ever advertise or promote them?? Like it’s totally quixotic to have a feature and because you’re so spiteful that you had to introduce them that you’d rather do anything then to promote remote raids
You started the video well, we all miss the gsme star experience of catching rare lapras or catching a pokemon for the first time again and again, but then moved to IVs which you didnt care when you were at peak enjoyment, we dont need guaranteed results for playing at home, we really need MORE new pokemon like alllot more
Our anonymous aggregate geolocation data *has* to be profitable to Niantic for them to penalize remote raids the way that they have. Even if they don’t ‘sell’ it, the TOS does state that they ‘share’ it with business partners for ‘data analysis’
You forgot one, Jin. Niantic themselves is the leading killer of Pokémon Go. It's actually quite a remarkable feat to see a company killing a game as OP as Go. Side note: Spending money on a chance for good IVs or a shiny isn't a negative, IMO. The negative comes from making bad choices that alienate people who want to spend money. Bad company/bad product = unsatisfied customers.
Speaking of point #5, there is an another option. There will be a new company that shows up, get the licence and develop a new Pokemon game in metaverse like stuff with AR glasses. We might be not there yet, but in next 5-10 years it might completely substitute Pokemon GO.
Listening to you talk about how Niantic adjusted to the pandemic, but not so well since then got me thinking: If they were willing to take that massive revenue hit to try and kill remote raiding, then they must rely on our location data more than our money. Selling our information is more lucrative than selling us a gameplay experience. It is becoming more and more obvious as time goes on that Niantic's thoughts and decisions are based on the back end data sales, instead of actually producing a better gaming experience.

I spent the time and money to grind 300xl candy for the origin forms of dialga/palkia but didn't get one of either good enough to spend that candy on
Same. That has been such a frustration for me. I've done so many Raids for a hundo Mewtwo, and the highest I ever get is 98% (which is still good, but its not perfect D:)
I think it will die a death of 1000 cuts. the biggest being not listening to the community. the new features are pretty bad and players are not happy with the removal of all the QoL. people like me who were casual but super into the raid scene are leaving and they will die slowly it's not evident now but if they keep it up they will die
They think 99% of players are casual singapourien grandmas, but in reality, most of there money came from hardcore players that used the AR quick catch and who raided a lot .
I went from around 100$ a month (incubatora) to around 5$ a month. (Com day tickets and shit) I stopped buying after they doubled incubator prices and just never bought more when they finally came back down again.
I have never been to a go fest in person in my life not saying I wouldn't but to travel across the world to play a game is a bit much and not only traveling food hotel transportation if you want belonging from those places it's expensive especially right now in this economy. I just feel like niantic is honestly greedy as hell if you already have a shiny mythical you cant get another one even if you buy a research for it. Then the people who already attended a go fest invent should not be able to play global go fest seeming how they already got the bonuses and rewards and shiny rate while being in person. So how is it fair that those people get to play the global go fest and get bonuses rewards same shiny rate etc could already fuse and had the chance to get xuritrie and necrozam shiny so how is it fair they get to able to get them again because they attended in person it shouldn't be fair. They shouldn't get no bonuses no half distance anything seeming how they already got them. It's how greedy Niantic is so the players that didnt attend should get the rewards and the shiny rate if you paid for it. It just not fair in my eyes IDC what anyone saids. The remote nerf honestly made me save my money I haven't bought any remotes or actually tried ever since Lugia was around last April that was it haven't bought shit since my does my dollar matter to niantic when they just got all that money from the Sendai go fest. I'll save my money seeming how Niantic doesn't need it that bad 🤷

Especially since their own actions make it so if you want to catch every single Pokemon, you have to Remote Raid for 5* Raids.
they technically do promote remote raiding without making it very worthwhile for us players with the lake trio or ultra beasts being region locked

I think everyone is expecting a guaranteed shiny. Seriously the rates make the chase good. It’s annoying to miss out at times but big wop.
They need to increase the amount of eggs you can have and bring back that one use free incubator as a permanent chance from gym spinning

Mate in my eyes the game is already dead. The remote raid nerfs was the death of the game & now the removal of AR Quick catching is the burial.
