If the key was in the trunk, it wouldn't let you lock the doors. That happened to me in my 2011 Altima and I was able to get into the drivers seat and open up the trunk.
@MacMike1000, thanks for the comment. That is certainly an option! I think the thing that is interesting after having both the Camry and Altima for a week is that they are very different in the way they feel. I wonder how many people have both in their consideration set.
Wife got a 2013 maxima, I bought the 2013 altima....we take mine more than hers. Mine is more comfortable to drive and I Average 35mpg combined...on the interstate I get 41mpg! Hers is more like a driving a sports car, meaning a bumpyer ride and seats that are firmer along with more power, but how much power do u need to get around town? BTW, I got the sv trim with Cloth seats... I'm a truck driver who loves loves being comfortable on long trips..
Nice review, but wrong information. I have 2.5 and i forgot my intelligent key twice in trunk, each time trying to close the trunk it didn't allow me + give me a beeb tone as a attention.
If the leather package wasn't 4k and the premium audio package 6k, I would get it. The 2.5 sl altima has leather and premium audio with subwoofer at 28k msrp
Wrong, got my Camry Hybrid EXL with Nav + Leather Heated Seats w/Dual power control and it cost the same amount as this Nissan Altima and I get more features + MPG. I'm talking from the owner perspective and you talking from?
I could get my almost fully loaded 3.5SL (without under body lighting and tracking system), but with the technology package, rear spoiler, splash guards, body side moldings, mats, trunk organizer) just about for $30.5K
After owning this generation Altima and driving the same Maxima from that era, the difference between the two is great. Compared to the Maxima, the Altima still seems cheaper, flimsier and not quite in the league of the Maxima in terms of build quality. So, no, Altima has still not leapfrogged the Maxima.
I'll take that over a car that's not well equipped and less MPG rating over the Camry Hybrid for the same price. Not to mention Toyota's resell value is a lot higher over Nissan cars.
The altima in this vid is a v6 and they are basing it on msrp, not the real price people pay. Comparing a v6 to a hybrid? Doesn't make sense. Better to compare the fuel efficient 2.5 SL
Blah Blah Blah ! Please you're killing me just drive the damn car and show a windshield view of you taking curves and accelerating and we can draw our own conclusions from there.

I really admire Altima 2013 V6 because of good fuel economy and they are pretty fast

the SL`s do come with front passenger electric seat its 4 way power and the driver seat is 6 or 8 way power

I would be nervous being in the car while this guy is driving. He pays more attention to the camera than the road.
@sethxtekken, thanks for the comment. We appreciate the feedback!
And Altima got the award.
True, which is why I would only recommend the 2.5
The IIHS negative rating applies to so many cars though. The only cars that passed with top marks I think were Honda Acura and Suzuki Kizashi.
Good video but use a camera on your hand to get a perspective view of the dash and etc..
At 8:00 you can make it wider by pressing camera
2.5 + Hyrbid = my 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE w/Nav. Only stop at the pump once a month and twice max (rarely).

Awesome rev :) good video good Explains
It is kind of like the most things..."Don't try this at home, we are professionals." Or something like that.
If you get leather on the camry hybrid it will cost way more than an altima mate
It's the 6 speed MANUAL !!!!
So why does this have paddle shifters when the CVT has no gears, by any chance can you explain how this works?
Maybe I should have you review my 12 coupe 3.5 SR. I really like it but also see some of the faults you pointed out here.
the video is very well done,, 2 thumbs up,,,, way up.

Now I’m looking at them for 8k
@@theboogiechowofficial6917 well that’s how time works little buddy
5 years later ? Is it still good ?
Yeah man , my 3.5 sl runs like new it has 152.000
@@charlycharly4645 I have a 2018 SR, always worried about the CVT.

I hope that $32K price quote is MSRP instead of Invoice price.
No way I'm paying over $30K for an Altima.
***** I've owned several Nissans (and a couple of BMWs) over the years, including an Altima. The 2013 is not worth over $30K.
SMFT?

Well if you compare a V6 Camry XLE to a V6 Nissan Altima, you still get better MPG and Tech Features over Nissa Altima and cost about the same.
it matches revs of a 6 spd. It mimicks the gear ratios of an automatic
yep sure can get a camry with all those features and don't forget the BEST feature that poor rating from the IIHS. Talk about value!
2.5 or 3.5 motor?
But the Camry still gets top marks for the regular crash tests.
The 2013 Camry is butt ugly, though.

2.5...avg mpg is 35
Not all 2013 Altima has that sun roof why is that
$34K, I'll say get yourself a 2012-13 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE with Nav with more features.
2012-2013 Camry is really ugly, however.
Does this guy really have holes on his pants?
CVT transmissions suck
The chrome around the windows on the camry is thin and doesn't even weld into itself, it looks disgusting.
My 2012 Toyota Camry Hyrbid XLE w/Nav are more well equipped than this.
Blah Blah Blah ! Please you're killing me just drive the damn car and show a windshield view of you taking curves and accelerating and we can draw our own conclusions from there.
+pineapplescrew facts
Camry gets the worst mpg, its slower, and over priced with bad crash test ratings including the new corolla and the prius c.
Hell no.
