Very concerned pet companion. I'm so proud of her for being so aware of her dog's behavior and was willing to find out WHY. Doodles...and I've had several...are just a lil different, but such dears. Thank you for the share and thanks, @Bondi Vet for the care.
My pup was like this... He was so sick but hurting and everything and we decided that it would be better to put him down so he no longer hurt, he was ancient about 16/17 years old. He pooped all over himself, and he was a large dog and I could bearly move him, but I somehow got him outside, and cleaned him up, he hadn't sat or stood for days before this so it was hard but somehow he managed to do it and he got to look over the yard, then I brought him inside, dried him and gave him a bit of water, and he was laying on his side softly breathing ragged, he would whimper moving his head, you could tell he hurt, and I couldn't take it... I left him in the downstairs room for about 3 minutes, telling my mom that he needed to be put to sleep and that he was undoubtedly hurting and he couldn't take it, she said yes and I went back down to see him before taking him to the vet.... He was still...Not moving...It was as he waited respectfully till I was out of the room to go finally, because I had not left his side in a week, and he knew that undoubtedly watching him fullyy pass away would have hurt... he had a bit of foam in his mouth is how I knew it wasn't the smoothest way to go R.I.P Magic Copper Pepper
I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things, but it's usually beyond worth it. Don't forget those sweet moments and hold them close. Know that you have a furry angel watching over you. 💞🐾
Cake icing rubbed on the gums...the veterinarian i worked for was diabetic...and he was big on bringing blood sugar up then deal with everything else...he was right every time
For pets with blood sugar problems, Karo corn syrup can be used in a pinch. I had a diabetic cat years ago and that was what everyone advised for when your pet needed to get their sugar up before you took them to the vet. You still rub it on their gums, and there's a certain amount you use by body weight.
I know heart murmurs are hard to deal with. My 16 year old outside cat has one along with a soft growth hanging off his back leg. I'm devastated that supposedly nothing can be done to correct it. I love all animals and wish I could take it on myself for him.
I can't believe the Kiko is alive and conscious with a 1.4 blood sugar. I'm a type 1 diabetic so I know how horrible the poor thing must've felt. Poor little thing. The owners must've been terrified as well. I had to go to the vet with my puppy when I had him for 6 days and that was absolutely awful. part of the intestine came out the back, but a 13 week old yorkie behind is very very tiny so it wasn't easy for the vet to put it back. You just want that honeymoon phase with your puppy or kitten, not worry for their lives, health and wellbeing.
I have never seen anyone keep such a detailed diary. Great job Lisa. Lulu has a bad case of sneezing. The medicine really did a great job. I know she feels better now. Great job to both vets. Audrey is a great vet. That cat is so beautiful with a lot of medical problems. Lily is a lucky kitty. Lisa you did a good job. So patient. Poor dog with bulging eyes. Glad it was fixed with medicine. Great job to all vets.
Really good have in this series Dr Andrew, Dr Lisa, and Dr Chris. I don’t know 🤷♀️ how I came cross Bondi Vet on ytube. But I did. Glad, that I have. Really enjoy seeing the ones started series and now seeing the newer ones seeing what they can do. I have not figured out the twins part. At beginning they were together. Now, it is hit and miss. Then it is seeing more of the one twin than the other. When both twins are together, one talks more than the other. I have not figured it out. We are glad all the fur babies are doing well. That they have awesome vets that took care of them.
i had a Japanese Spitz in April 2010 her name is Dara (name from a member of 2ne1, a korean girl group) She died last year, Oct. 27, 2023 I think Japanese Spitz is a resilient breed, they are beautiful and loving too. I miss her so much that i think i'll never have another dog after she went to the rainbow so i switch to cats
I wish people would do research into what is dangerous to pets when they get them, you would do it if you had a human baby, so a fur baby is no different.
With the last story about the google eye dog, it looks weird yes. A bak teller for the bank I was with in Canada had Im assuming was the same thing wrong and while the dog looks weird, in a human its downright bizzare😬
It just sends me into a panic when the vet stands there talking about what an emergency it is and how they have to act right away, meanwhile the pet is getting worse and worse! I seriously wish they would film that part AFTER treating the animal!
That's how I felt about poor Lucky the cat who had paracetamol poisoning 😢 They went and asked the owner for permission to give the cat the antidote and had a conversation with her right after saying it was time critical. Don't ask me, just do it!
One thing I dont understand is that this clinic brings in wild animals al the time and off course the price for pets is crazy when they use so much time for wild animals?
The staff needs to get paid and rent for the building does too. Vet offices try not to waste resources and will refer out if possible, but some Dr.’s will treat those patients as learning opportunities since they are unowned animals. In CA, USA we have to get permission from the state department of wildlife to treat animals with certain protections too, and they will fund the healthcare. Typically they send an agent to pick up wildlife that are dropped off by Good Samaritans or shelter staff, and they will transport and treat the wildlife.
@@snalmera your first two sentences made my case not yours. Its crazy that a person with a sick pet will go broke and a hedgehog gets treated for no money. I love the show and animals thats why I watch but it seems insane let nature take its course with wild animals and people not go totally broke over their pets.
@@slashieboy There are plenty of resources for good owners that just need money. There's care credit, scratchpay, affirm (payment plans), and many foundations that are happy to help keep animals in homes. If an owner needs help they just need to ask what is available in their region. What I was trying to say though is usually the hospitals are reimbursed by whichever government entity is supporting their right to provide healthcare for that "unowned" animal. This is a show and we don't see every second of footage for a single case. I am an vet tech in ER and I see any species that comes through the door to stabilize then send on their way. We get money back, and when we don't, the vet office has a fund specifically in those cases. We can use that fund for owners and patients we believe deserve it as well, but we aren't trying to advertise that since people take advantage. You can believe whatever you'd like and feel however you want, I don't mind. I was simply informing you since I have some insider industry knowledge. A lot of is it boring and wouldn't end up on a 30 min show with multiple cases per episode.
@@slashieboy Yeah there certainly needs to be a better balance for sure, I'm in Aus and hear it's not infrequent for pet owners to get done with a 10K vet bill. Life's hard when priorities aren't sensible, I get that wildlife is endangered, especially here in Aus, and has no-one to pay for their medical hence a charity case, but our pets shouldn't hurt for it either. Pet ownership has gone bonkers nowadays, I'm thankful every day when my own cat and dog have good health.
I love that she had a diary for her and brought it to the vet. 😭❤

I have a 14 year old toy poodle that has heart failure and we all agree that he doesn’t have much time left with us😢
She is the cutest little thing. I can see why they are so besotted with her.😊

So Lulu was having an allergic reaction? Not unheard of for some dogs. Glad it could be treated.

Nope its well known fact thats vets hype up their drug prices which means effectively some animals die as family cant afford the cost
