Aside from Catelyn’s scream at the Red Wedding, I think Davos’s line here is probably the second saddest moment in the entire series. They both make me cry a little bit every time I see them
1:47 The fact that he kissed her on the scarred side of her face says a lot! In the book, Jon says that Selyse never kisses her daughter on her left cheek!
The saddest thing in the books is that he doesn’t just lose one son at the battle of the blackwater, he loses ALL FOUR of his sons that are old enough to be away from home. He still has a wife and some unspecified little ones back on his homelands, but FOUR SONS? Absolutely heartbreaking
This is exactly what this role reminds me of! He’s great at playing the dad that tugs on your heartstrings. That scene where Sarah is trying to convince her dad that she’s his daughter makes me cry every time.
damn ser davos lost a son and shireen lost his mother and father because of melisansdre. this is one of the best moment in the show they should have not make stannis look that bad
Davos asking about the g in night reminds me of every student of English, myself included, when told how words like "choir", "sword" or "queue" are pronounced...
It was only thanks to Shireen and Davos that I finally got the joke from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I had to pause GOT while it hit me. I'd always just thought it was some nonsensical word, not a joke about nonsensical English spelling.
“She was good and she was kind and you killed her!”
broke my heart into a million pieces

*Sin removal sound effect*
if Ned Stark was the most honourable GOT character, Ser Davos was the sweetest one

He kissed her on her forehead.
isn't it spread by touch? idk if she's still infectious but she has some scales
@@bumblerbree By this point those are just scars, not an active infection, otherwise Davos would have long since become "stone" 🤢
"You won't be a very good hand if you see the word 'knight' and say 'Kuh-nigit'!" 😂
Sweet as Princess Shireen was she was a savage HAHA!
“That happened ONCE, weeks ago!”😳
Davos was more a father to the Baratheon kids than their actual fathers.
FR
he’s easily my fav caracter ever
underrated character
Every time hes a parent except to his actual son
Well he died so
@@syednoorerasul Also, he was a grown man

Why is this a top comment? Who would like this comment?
"I'm not sure I get to vote, but aye"
Lmao he's hilarious.. criminally underrated out Ser Davos ❤
"I've noticed you staring at her good heart" is one of the most hilarious lines in the show.
A yes the onion knight spirit is the same in all the onions knights
Onion Kuh-niget
Hmmmmmmm
Now i imagine Davos wearing that armor set and holding a Zweihander
@@mstein7387 me too
I love how aggrieved he sounds at the "g" in "night".
Princess Shireen deserved so much better.
his rant about how they murdered her was one of the most "hit you in all your emotions" speeches ii have ever heard
I FUCKING LOVE LIAM CUNNINGHAM!!! He's AMAZING as Ser Davos! I first saw him in A Little Princess and TOTALLY fell for him!
This is exactly what this role reminds me of! He’s great at playing the dad that tugs on your heartstrings.

Saw the scene of him lamenting Shireen coming a mile away and it still broke me again.
excellent clip montage, loved it. Especially ending on that last one. says so much that stare.

Much nicer here then he was in Harry Brown, that's for sure.
Cunningham is the perfect choice for Brom when Disney remakes the Eragon book series.
@apluscast Oh that would be awesome, I can see it now.
Thank You!
Despite being a illiterate, lowborn smuggler prior to his ascension, Ser Dabos is much more chivalrous than most of other Knights we see in the show.
That last reminds me how the knew for a whole day before the undead came to go hide next to the dead.
The death of Shireen devastated poor Davos more than the death of his own son
I remember the nigit i saw Shireens demise...Oh i was crushed for a week :(
next: everyone being a dad to Jon Snow for 10 minutes straight.
“Why is there a g in night?”
XD
He remembers when he see every child the one who him taught how to use sniper riffle.
MELİSANDRE the north remembers also ı remember bcs of you that poor little girl died 😭
Should have just put Davos on the throne
No gunna spoil it but when ever I see the wooden stag😭 it just kills me, as we all know whats to come
Aww that little girl!!! Whatever happened to her?
You don't want to know .She died and you don't want to know how
@@aishahamma334 I was being sarcastic
@@DavefromCA2023 I wish you were😣
Oh right
Whatever happened there? Gosh I can't even say her name that animal

Davos reminds me of my dad so every time he came on screen I screamed “Daddy!” My dad’s name is also pretty similar to the name Davos
Ser Davos a true man of the sea! Fire consumed both children of his :(
Vote 1 for King Davos
