      They simply do not sound as good. There is no point pretending they sound as good. The RS5 is not a real sports car it is a GT car.
      V6 engines are fine in lightweight sports cars that are really fast and that no body ever will get near the limits on a public road and can only really experience them on a track.
      The old V8 RS5 had an amazing engine with a Quattro drive system. The new car is just a plain boring very fast car with nothing to really make it special. The old engine sounded special.

      Agree if you lease BMW’s subsidized leases are way more attractive than Audi lease rates. If you’re buying they are worlds apart. M5 starts at $105k and Competitions are $115k. RS5 starts at $74k.

      Can someone actually explain to me why Audi lease rates are so poor compared to Bmw and even Mercedes?

    • @samsharma9207
      @samsharma9207 5 лет назад +4

      @@StanLinDDS Low residual + high money factor = poor Audi leases. RS5 has around a 52% residual with over a .002 MF. I got an X5 recently for a 58% residual and a .00165 MF. That MF has actually dropped to .00145 so leases are even better at BMW.

      Range anxiety is in petrol cars why? Imagine u forgot to fill up at night and you have to get to work and you woke up late. U have to speed to a gas station or pray you have enough to get to work.
      Easy way to explain it is imagine if you could not charge your cellphone at home. You would have to go to a charging station outside. Not conventional is it.

      Porsche 911 starts at $90,000 and has a 6 cylinder engine. Corvettes have a V8 engine and are light weight and start at about $50,000.
      Ford Mustang GT350 start at about $60,000 with an amazing V8 engine. There are Camaro and Dodge options as well.

      I have no idea what you're talking about. German automakers inflate their residuals. This often makes leasing cheaper than than purchasing. Also, after 3 years, you'll only have 1 year left on your warranty and will be paying out of pocket for all repairs and maintenance after that.

    • @Zhiloreznik
      @Zhiloreznik 5 лет назад

      emdec55
      Well at least in UK with Audi you have to pay for all of the extra options during the lease agreement. So if car is 70k and 20k in options they will calculate the standard 70k lease agreement plus all 20k of options on top.
      PS: I don’t lease.

    • @AkioWasRight
      @AkioWasRight 5 лет назад

      @@Zhiloreznik I have no clue how leasing works in the UK, and what you said makes no sense at all. With leasing in the US, it's a percentage of the total price of the car. If you, say, have a lease with 60% residual after 36 months, a $70,000 car would cost ~$777 per month. If you add $20,000 in options to the car, it will still be the same percentage adjusted, and your payment would $1,000 per month for a $90,000 car. You don't add $20,000 in options on top of the lease agreement. If that's the case, you people are being screwed.

I would rather get a Model S for 100k that could smoke the RS5 or a Stinger GT2 (its closest rival?) that is almost as fast for literally half the price.
