I started crying the second the brother came on the screen, and was talking about his last words to his brother before this happened. I have a lot of siblings, and obviously we fight, so I couldn’t imagine saying something like that to one of them, and and then something like this happened.

Lalisa T It is awful and you’re right, it does feel like a betrayal to them when you forget to remember. Or when you start to forget what their voice sounded like or the way they smelled or all the little quirks they had...that alone has induced several panic attacks in me.

Anyone saying "oh at a stop light" the whole reason texting was such a huge innovation is so that you can get back to people when you're not busy. Even if you think at a red light is "safe" it's not. The person behind you or the person beside you could be distracted and not see the red light or your break lights and rear end you. Always watch. Keep your eyes open. How dare you risk someone else's life for your selfishness. That's what it is, being selfish. Leave your phone in your bag, on the back seat, turned off or on silent.

My mom, she has a habit, of texting and driving. Every, single, time, she pulls out her phone, I take the phone out of her hands and tell her, "Don't." I can't cry whenever that happens, because I've wasted too many tears on useless reason. I take her phone and read the message out loud or just turn it off and put it down. It's heart shattering to know this happens everyday, and, this could happen to the people I love if they're not careful. Shattering. T^T

The boy in a gray jumper is so protective of his mother... I find him really cute but most importantly I admire him for this. I'm never going to be so connected to my parents and even on their funeral I'll be full of grief and regret but conscious that it hadn't been that way between us since long ago.

My little neighbor was crossing the street to give a customer a cookie and a cup of lemonade and was hit by a distracted woman driving. She fled the scene. He lived and she was arrested but it shocked our whole neighborhood.

I saw an old man texting and driving on the highway today as I switched lanes...then I saw another woman texting and driving in the car in front of him. I really don't understand why people do this.
I was recently run over by a man who was drunk. Fortunately I'm still here. It was awful, just because someone decided they had no responsibilities to their community. It's been six months and I can not even pass a crosswalk alone today because i am so afraid. I also thought that these things only happened to others until it happened to me.

I have a friend who snapchats while driving. I also lost a friend in a car crash this summer. I'm not someone who gets all up in other people's business, but if she does that again, I'll tell her. I have decided to do that now. I will. I don't want to lose another friend.

I praise my friend because whenever she’s driving she’ll set her phone to driving mode, and anyone that sends her a text will get a reply saying that she’s currently driving and unable to look at the text or text back

Penguin TFM if you have a Samsung, yes. That’s the phone my friend uses. I believe the iPhone also has this feature as well.

Penguin TFM my friend has been using it for a couple of years now. I don’t think people are aware of the feature because it’s not something that you yourself notice unless you’re looking through the features yourself. It’s usually something that’s brought up to you by second hand. That’s how I learned about it. Most of my friends that do something about staying away from their phone is by usually putting it on airplane mode. But I like the driving mode as it sends a message to the other party member to make them aware.

I was involved in a car accident in April of this year. It wasn’t even for distracted driving but that’s the first question I was asked due to my age. I was cut off causing me to swerve and loose control and roll my car. My mother said walking up and seeing my car upside down was one of the scariest moments of her life! I was involved in a road rage accident which I believe needs to be talked about more and so does distracted driving.

This is such a serious matter that people don't think is a big deal until they are put into the situation. Whenever I am driving, I put my phone in the passenger seat, heck!, the back seat! There is nothing that is important enough on social media or text messages that should distract you while you are driving. If it is that important, at least pull over and get out of the traffic so that you don't make someone else pay for your mistakes. Thanks FBE for making this very valuable video that will help open up the eyes of young drivers and even older drivers.
At work I pull-over workers all the times for talking on the phone, checking emails, texting... and they always say the same thing. "It was my boss!" "It was really important!". "I just needed to know [insert useless excuse here]"

I actually had a fairly serious accident in 2012 due to responding to a text message. After dealing with not having my license for several years, I will not answer my cellphone while driving. No one deserves to have ANY distractions while driving these days. It can wait. I just throw my phone in the glove compartment. My phones are always on silent so I never worry about anything.

My phone is almost constantly on silent or vibrate. It's less distracting then. I don't drive yet, but if it vibrates once I'm not gonna check it. If it vibrates multiple timesI'll, I'll pull over to answer the call. If someone is texting you, it is not important. If they really need to get in touch, they would call.

i have an Iphone which has 'car mode', so if someone texts me, they will receive a message that i'm driving, and if its important they can text again and the message will go through. that way i only receive important texts, so then i can pullover to read them.
iPhone has a do not disturb thing for when you’re driving
Many people will see this but still text and drive.
The reason why people drive distracted is because they never think it will happen to them. They think they are too smart.
It melts my heart that some of them were hugging, some people in my class who are exactly their age would just laugh and make fun of how emotional the video is.
