Not a mixtape but a playlist. Each track has a story from start of Tokyo all the way to the last track, Forever Rain. Mind you, he wrote, composed & produced every track in Mono except Seoul. He only wrote & composed that song and Honne produced it. RM's intelligence and passion for music shows. The songs on his playlist is his baby that he created from scratch and he dropped it for FREE! The instruments and production in his songs are just WOW.
Mono is very lo fi hiphop/ alternative rap. It’s very personal just like RM‘s 1st mixtape and it outsold 2 other group’s comeback, tho Mono wasn’t even promoted and it got announced 3 days before with a simple tweet. It went #1 on itunes charts in 86 countries and links for iTunes weren’t given! He only gave us Spotify, SoundCloud (the free links) and let us find it on paid platforms ourselves and it only costs 3,99$. RM is really a kind of a man this playlist comes from his heart it’s not for sells or charts
Did you know when mono came out hope world and agust d reentered the worldwide album charts too? And ly: answer as well? Tho Agust D is 2 years old? 4 bts albums were charting at the same time tho 3 of them are solo and that’s what I call powerful

it's called RM-MONO he has been working on it since 2015 mono stands for monologue meaning as a speech on his inner thougts so basically his "life story"and that's what he put in this mixtape years of experience and feelings he dropped it out of nowhere but he gave us hints that we never noticed till now lol ! i believe only the intro song TOKYO is in english and it's the best thing ever (: They also put out SEOUL lyric video yesterday he also released Forever Rain MV it's really sad especially the video i suggest yo watch the lyric videos (: i believe he made this mixtape as Kim Namjoon the real him the person behind RM ! my favorite is the song Seoul

This is actually an official lyric vid MV. So the only problem is that you would need to click onto the CC for the English subtitles. Because of this you weren't able to see and understand a lot of the Korean lyrics. All the songs on "Mono" except for "Tokyo" that is all in English are mainly in Korean with a lot of English thrown in. Even so I still highly recommend you see the illustrated animation MV for RM "Forever Rain". It is so very good! So well done. But maybe you can see the army made Lyric Vids with the English translations for all these songs as well! This whole "playlist" ( RM chooses not to call "Mono" a mixtape) is a masterpiece. "Tokyo" the first song listed is so good and it is actually all in English! I also heard that there is a Korean word that sounds like how you say or pronounce Tokyo but actually means longing like here in this song he writes about being homesick longing Seoul. Then the next song is actually "Seoul" but really I do hope you hear all of the Playlist as well as checking the English translation vids! Always good to see you back on YT!! 🤗👍💜❤️💜🙏😎🐥
