I think it’s important that you bring a civil action against them for assault. This woman seems to not be in control of her emotions which is not a good thing for a police woman who has responsibilities to protect the public. I get the feeling this might not have been the first time she’s behaved like this and may even be under scrutiny for other reasons making it all the more important that you take action against her. For the sake of the public she must be stopped.

I lived in Tavistock in the 1960s.My father was the local inspector in charge of the police station and would have been devastated if this has happened under his watch.He always instilled in me that we were all equal in this World and to never look down on anyone.Whatever possessed her to act in such a ridiculous manner.Bringing the Devon and Cornwall constabulary into total disrespect. Hi Mat, please do not just focus on the 2 PCs. Obviously there were 3 more males not in uniform, could also be police? They observed what was going on and none of them intervened. Also, after you were assaulted, was it unlawful for them to close the station. Therefore, stopping you to lodge your complaint how you were treated (assaulted). Sue those two officers, then complain to their managers when you have a judgement against them. That way they pay there own court fines and your compensation, instead of it being public money paid by police compensating you. Making a complaint to their management post judgement means they can't dismiss it. They'll have to discipline the officers.

This is why auditing is so important. If they behave like this when they know someone is recording them, what are they like when dealing with people who are not? There is a big problem with bad officers like these. It seems to me the majority of them are criminal thugs and the good ones are few and far between. Hi Mat, please do not just focus on the 2 PCs. Obviously there were 3 more males not in uniform, could also be police? They observed what was going on and none of them intervened. Also, after you were assaulted, was it unlawful for them to close the station. Therefore, stopping you to lodge your complaint how you were treated (assaulted). As another top auditor would say, they have definitely pissed on their chips !!!
It's the senior officers that allow this behaviour that should be held accountable. By not fixing this behaviour, they are condoning it. Who got sacked for this criminal behaviour? How high does the corruption go?

I was that appalled at the behaviour of this officer - I’ve reported it as a ‘hate crime’ on their online form, and demanded action be taken again the officers in question

Lawsuit is only way they learn
Sue those two officers, then complain to their managers when you have a judgement against them.
That way they pay there own court fines and your compensation, instead of it being public money paid by police compensating you.
Making a complaint to their management post judgement means they can't dismiss it. They'll have to discipline the officers.
