Yeah, its easy to play really strong when you are cheating. Then you stop cheating and boom start playing at your own level. Which for a 1300 player often involves Blunder-city

So I think something that's worth mentioning for lower level players out there that these speedruns never really address but is so important is to consider how Daniel and other top players address the endgame in one particular point (I know Danya has an excellent endgame series :) ) . Even at my level (1600 in a 10 + 0 time control) when an endgame is reached - I see players make an extremely common blunder: they choose to remove all the pieces and pawns off the board before even thinking of going for checkmate. When reaching an endgame I think a good thought process to adopt is to think on - and execute - a plan to mate the king in the most efficient way possible. Don't worry about your opponent's other pieces unless you absolutely have to. At the very least - when other pieces can move - it ensures you won't draw your opponent's king because you deprived him of moves. While this may not be the best game to illustrate the point - you can still see that Danya doesn't care about all the other pawns that are still on the board - he's thinking about and going for mate when he reaches the endgame.

I feel like I learned a lot from this game. Also super happy that I immediately looked at moves like Qd5 (I think it was Qd5) to undouble the pawns through a queen trade as someone who is rated 800. Especially the ways to manouver the knight and the creation of outposts for a knight were super insightful. I was immediately able to apply the knowledge when you showed the game of the GM's as an example. I really did learn a lot so thank you! I just love chess!
Lost a game in the Rossolimo as black right before this went up. I haven't really prepared for it before. Lots of good stuff to work with in this video
Since there was a lot of speculation in the comments regarding this game,I would like to share what I found out. I used lichess's analysis tool which shows top 5 moves at every point and apart from moves Ke2,Kg3,Rb1,Re1,fxe5 all the other white's moves in the first 26 moves were in top 5 moves. Also all the moves played untill the 27.Ke2 kept a slight advantage for white, black was never better before that. Additionally, c4,which Danya said was more of a "one move-threat",which is the case in most 1300 elo matches, was the best move in the position and gave white +1.6.Before the queen was blundered, the evaluation was 0.0,a draw. The point of this comment is not to make any kind of accusation, it is just to share what I found out of curiosity and felt like sharing with others to give them context to base their thoghts on.

These deep dives into the big ideas behind different opening lines are SOO useful, it's hard to learn these ideas yourself from studying games or seeing computer recommendations, because you don't get as much detail into the ideas behind the moves. I've been playing the Accelerated at ~1500 based on your earlier speedruns - nice to see a deep dive on the Rossolimo which always perplexes.
I hate to say it, but the amount of times Danya has said his sub-1800 opponents are close to outplaying him or actually outplaying him suggests there is quite a lot of cheating going on, even if only for a few moves in the opening. If you count the number of moves it took for Danya to stop saying that in this game, it's a lot more than a 1300 should be able to survive against a gm, let alone do well.

In Gotham’s Guess the ELO series all the 1300s play like 700s. This series is more accurate. All the 1300s I see play like this guy, able to keep up with a high GM. Insane.
The opponent might be prone to tilting. Play like 1600, make a bad move and lose games dropping the rating. Also he/she could be prone to playing tired with more mistakes in general. The level of best play is above 1300.
A key point to remember is that when white has pawns on e4 and f4, then f5 by black blunts white's opportunities. Black had plenty of early opportunities to do this to effect. This idea can turn up quite a lot in closed Sicilians.
17:31 I picked Qd6 because I figured if our plan was to bring the Knight in to d4, we needed both d4 and e6 open. I always find it interesting how differently my little 1690 brain thinks about things than masters - much less GMs.
That c4 antipositinal looking move was actually a top 3 engine recommendation. I kinda suspected this guy to be cheating for a while because the way he played positionally. Sure he 'blundered' his queen at the end but that might be because he knew Danya's account.

I followed along this video with an engine and this dude played top 1-2 engine moves almost the entire way before hanging his queen. That can happen to anyone I guess, but they found many top moves that were far from easily explainable

If white finds e5 there, it's a forced resignation for black.
Unfortunately he likes to play the Botez-Gambit, based on his positional play he would easily be 1600+
I always thought that I would play the Hyper Accelerated Dragon in order to avoid the Rossolimo, but after this game I might reconsider..
