- Making stickers with eastern cedar and learning the new machine. Going to build a carport / shed with Aromatic Cedar, Juniperus Virginiana, Red Cedar, Eastern Red Cedar, Virginia Pencil Cedar, or Red Juniper. MechMaxx 26" Portable Sawmill, 420cc 15HP 21" Board Width, under 11' Log Length, 13' Track Bed 144" saw blade
That was a great example how you can handle a log by hands. What about 14 ' long and 16" diameter freshly cut maple log?

Right after the video I figured out the scales...9/8 is 1in plus kerf! Duh :D
Did you ever lube that squeaky head adjuster?
@@JosEPh-zy3yr 1st to say something about that. YES! I should have made a reveiw video about this. It was bronze on steel with no grease. I lubed it up and boy it makes no sound and so much easier.
You really should consider a respirator when sawing cedar. That dust is wicked in your lungs.
I wear a respirator. Yea cedar dust is bad and it gets to me anyways.
Should be nice to be honest ( the manufacturer) and tell the public about WHERE this machine been made and where it was assembled?

Yup I was really interested in the Hud-son " built in the USA" but it was 1/3 or $1000 more and it's a very lite machine. The rest of the oems might be better quality but still just made in China.
They say they are manufactured in California. Have you seen their ads and website? Or just makiing off hand comment?
