Some legal goals here (by today's rules), some not. But lots of comments and opinions here, very few able to back them up. You can't say "well, that's what we used to play" or anything like that - because the rules of soccer change over the years. As a referee, I had to be aware how they changed year by year. So I'm only commenting based on the rules of the game today (Jan-2018). While the goalkeeper has the ball in his control, another player cannot challenge for it in any way. This includes both attempting to head or (especially) kick the ball. The specific ruling is: "A goalkeeper is not permitted to keep control of the ball in his hands for more than six seconds. A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball: • while the ball is between his hands or between his hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) • while holding the ball in his outstretched open hand • while in the act of bouncing it on the ground or tossing it into the air When a goalkeeper has gained possession of the ball with his hands, he cannot be challenged by an opponent." The offense of challenging a goalkeeper while the ball is under his control: "Offences committed against goalkeepers • It is an offence for a player to prevent a goalkeeper from releasing the ball from his hands • A player must be penalised for playing in a dangerous manner if he kicks or attempts to kick the ball when the goalkeeper is in the process of releasing it" This is all covered under Law 12 and copied/pasted from here: www.fifa.com/mm/Document/FootballDevelopment/Refereeing/02/36/01/11/LawsofthegamewebEN_Neutral.pdf I remember when this was all a grey area. The rules weren't specific (and goalkeepers had no real time limit to holding the ball). Some referees allowed you to challenge the keeper, some didn't. The rules adapted and make it totally clear what is allowed and what isn't. Any goal where the goalkeeper drops the ball to the ground, intending to kick it from there - that's fair game and all good goals! Going through each: 00:00 - Attacker was allowed to challenge for the ball. Red card correct to keeper for denying a goalscoring opportunity. 00:26 - Challenging keeper while ball being released. Indirect free kick out, yellow card to attacker. 00:47 - Same as previous. 01:08 - Same as previous 01:30 - Goalkeeper had relinquished "control" of the ball. Good goal! 01:48 - Same. Good goal! 02:04 - Same. Good goal! 02:24 - This is the most interesting one. Goalkeeper had relenquished the ball, so the challenge was fine. BUT, a player is not allowed to enter the field of play without the referee's permission. Without permission, it is only an offense to DELIBERATELY leave the field of play, but it is always an offense to enter the field of play. Normally, such things are ignored for the sake of speeding up the game and keeping it moving. An easy example, a player leaves the pitch to retrieve a ball that has gone for a throw-in - technically an offense while leaving and re-entering! All referees automatically apply leniency for this. But, in this final goal, the player did not seek permission to enter, and his behaviour (hiding off-field) would result in permission not being granted until the play had moved on. So, the result would be No goal, indirect free kick out, Yellow Card for attacker. (Note - it seems that the video changed - a number of things were removed - new timestamps/judgements above)
Ken Savage So what happens when the ball is thrown up and is technically under the control of the keeper but are on the line of or just outside the 18yrd box?
@Lucas - not quite. If the keeper drops the ball to his feet inside the box, then the attacker can legally challenge him. Remember, if the keeper drops the ball to the ground (and is not obviously bouncing it, or kicking it) then he cannot pick it up again.
A couple of things: 1) Most of those are infringements and shouldn't count. 2) When the thumbnail isn't in the video I hit the - I don't wish to see content from this channel - option.
@22122soccergirl No, that's not how offside works. Being in an offside position is not an offence in itself; they didn't get played by a teammate. It was an individual effort.
When the goalkeeper tosses up the ball in order to kick it, it is still considered his ball, so the attacker can't kick it. As shown in the video, all of them were disallowed. Not a lot of people (players included) knew that. When the ball is on the ground, it's everyone's ball. The attacker can steal it and score. However, some in the video would be illegal by today rule because the attacker stepped outside of the pitch (he would need the referee's permission to re-enter).
They're so mischievous!!! OMG this video made me laugh over and over again, and I literally chuckled like a baby 😂 the unknown is so sneaky, they all do, I just feel like that's definitely what I'd do if I were them 😂😂😂😆
Why can't they just look behind their back before kicking the ball? How hard is it really? You need rules to protect such absent-minded goalkeepers? Sheesh!
The pic is not a click bait mate, it does exist the clip where Messi was doing exactly the same that the "unknow" player in this video...i don't know who is the keeper but Messi was just standing behind him waiting for the keeper to drop the ball to the ground...the team mates of the keeper notice him of Messi on his back, so he look back, saw messi and he continue the game without droping the ball, but he was just about to....i was looking for the clip here in RUclips so you may watch it also, but i never found it....it was"funny football" or something like that...if you tell me the name of the keeper i may found the clip...i tought it was ter stegen but obviously im wrong
Alma Ortiz neymar used to be my favourite player but after he decided to try to score a goal in the most pathetic way makes me rethink about the player he is.
It happened to me in cup bro .I put the ball down to take goal kick and guy sneaked up behind me ,i didn't know he was there. He took the ball and scored into empty net and we lose the cup.
i'm Pretty sure that stealing the ball like that is somehow not against the rules, but sportsmanship is something different here. you just don't do it because it's not fair.
Totally convinced that when there is a football upload, youtube has a pop up which says 'unless you add shit music this will be cancelled from loading'
I agree with the one where player tries to head butt ball out of keepers hands but the ones the keeper drops ball on the ground and a player comes up behind and takes it im on the fence only because of off side rule but fun to watch

So basically unless he drops it outside the box you can do nothing
Ken Savage hi
dang

unknown is a legend
Mohammed Waseem agreed😂
Totally
Ronaldo
unkown is ronaldo
Lol 😂😂😂😂😂
the guy that headed the ball out of his hand should have been carded because the keeper had the ball on his hands
Corryn Stafford I agree :)
He only had it in one hand. There is a rule where if the keeper has it in one hand a player can kick it out or head it out
Samuel Greenslade oh i thought he had both hands on it...... i didn’t see his hand off it
Its Fair Game while other hand was waving at outfielders.
Whats the rules?

They replace an outfield player with the bench goalkeeper or put an outfield player in goal
You sacrifice one player for a reserve goalkeeper,if you've exhausted your substitutions, choose one outfield player to be the goalkeeper...
Can't believe even Henry, Arshavin and Ronaldinho do that 🤣
Video was very very funny.I enjoyed a lot
Too strong Ronaldinho !!! Great Men 👍👍👍

Not as bad as i feel for my ears, the music!
I like the music. It feels like I am in a discotheque!

Out of ten how many of those goals actually count?
Nasrul Hulk according to current FIFA Laws, only the ones where the keeper put the ball down.
Doesnt count = no win
@22122soccergirl No, that's not how offside works. Being in an offside position is not an offence in itself; they didn't get played by a teammate. It was an individual effort.
You need t actually get passed to be offside, But in this case it’s optional? IDK
I seem to remember George Best doing this to the England goalkeeper Ray Clemance,....???
I guess OLD tricks NEW players...
Paul H I think it was against Gordon Banks not Ray Clemence.
Lol! I don't know why but the last one made me laugh.😅
I love that you started a video without intro
2:42 unknown one 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
The title should be changed to "Top 10 Keepers Who Aren't Aware Of Their Surroundings "

Messi was looking good in thumbnail 😂
Apparently these players have played the first FIFA game a lot :)
Van Persie vs Casillas was pretty sick too
I'm still waiting for that picture that shown in thumbnail... 😑
I agree with the one where player tries to head butt ball out of keepers hands but the ones the keeper drops ball on the ground and a player comes up behind and takes it im on the fence only because of off side rule but fun to watch
I personally think you should be able to play the ball as soon as the goalie releases it.
Unknown.. that guy.. thw guy 😂
Unknown really legend
Don’t hate the player, hate the game
I see Messi, I click!!!
Messi in the thumbnail looks like he just got his toys taken away and hes pouting
Nice
Good hunting!
is it legal or not? if it is legal why is every goalie looked shocked and complained?
Legends says hes still unknown to mankind maybe this is the future
It's like as though the same soundtrack is played at every football video ever
reminded me of Croatia for the final match in 2018
Pls tell me what goals are legal and what aren't and why.
Ought stuff regional criticize ahead driving recording excellent guide.
Nice shot by robin van persie
Some of the goalies are like..... Hey can you really do that.
If anyone knows which match is that when Messi stood behind the goalkeeper in the thumbnail? He's cute! 😂
If you ever see a football player do this, then you can tell a lot about their personality
Wow! Ronaldhino and Neymar stole the ball in the way I did and like
What about the most famous one of all, Gary Crosby knocking it of Andy Dibbles hand for Forest v Man City???
