I do agree with all the points mentioned in the video. Tyre manufacturers do consider air expansions thats why we should always refill the tyre with recommended value. If you are filling nitrogen, it will not get expanded as expected by tyre/car manufacturers and you might harm your car or result in poor milage. I think its better to stick to good old air.

Additionally you must have read/heard a lot of accidents happening on Yamuna Expressway due to tyre burst. The reason for this is over speeding which leads Tyres to be heated up which causes air inside the tyre to expand (as water vapour is already present it helps in expansion) which leads excessive pressure on tyre walls which is thin in compare to tyre thread and due to this increase in pressure to to temperature increases tyre gets bust from the weakest point on the wall causing the accident. It could be prevented if you use nitrogen as it is comparatively cooler and dosent leads much pressure change in compare to air and thus saves your tyre and you. I would say if there is a slightest improvement and even 1% better chance nitrogen can save your life ots worth going ahead with.
Agreed. Its basic 12th grade physics and not a rocket science still it amazing how easily so called car experts can mislead by making a video. Just one note N2 is not cool gas. It just does not react as much as others and also does not expand much as well which we take an advantage of.
Nitrogen is not to expand tyre life. It is to keep tyre pressure in limit in diverse situations that Indian road conditions offers. If you are using it for 6 years then you may need to use normal air again in a long trip to refresh your memory to realize the difference. A TPMS would help monitoring.

Hi, I am not a scientist, I am a professional car driver. As you say, you are absolutely right. There has no difference on mileage, but only one difference and that is, when our cars running on high speed tyres temperature is pretty high in normal weather conditions. And In monsoons tyres temperatures are normal and tyres pressure also on its right psi, but at high temperature, tyre pressure decrease, and it's effect on millage slightly, if your tyre has normal air. But if your tyres are full of nitrogen, the pressure of tyre will be maintain in any kinds of weather.
I always recommend everyone to stay away from this scam. But you took the time to make a useful video which hopefully will spread the message to more people. Just check the air pressure once a month at the fuel station. you need to refuel anyway. Thanks again for the video. Cheers

I used Nitrogen for last 2 to 3 months. you are right sir. In my case, air pressure decreased 10 psi within 1 week. All bogus. Than I returned to basic air. And now its fine. Now my air does not decreased till approx 1 month.

As long as bargaining continues even for a small petty money, vacuming and inflating will take about nearly 7-10 minutes for avarage car to fill all 4 tyres. Can we expect to be vacumised before inflating nitrogen, by employing a person for that and, as long as the nitrogen machine is in operation, the compressor will always be on the run, nitrogen machine utilises only part of the air drawn from the compressor. to avoid such time and maintanance of machines and bargaining for price as well, will definitely have repurcutions not to vacumise and inflate. Only a few are doing the vacum process and inflating nitrogen, and getting harsh words from their customers as if they are loosing a hell of their money by paying a little more than normal charges
Before one to decide wether nitrogen is good or not at all usefull, lets us change to nitrogen , while we are using normal air and practically see, If one feel any difference in comfort, longivity of inflation, any fuel average change etc can continue to use if they like it, otherwise stic on to normal air, you are loosing any money it will be only for once that too small amount which will be negligible when compared to other maintanence.

Anish, where in INDIA u could drive on high speed during summer. Max 60 - 80 KM/PH. Best is CYCLE for commuters in INDIA becoz when you pay road tax you deserve potholes. Otherwise government will impose BOT if you plan for development. So pls recommend your choice !!

I have never heard about these claims before pal, but I use Nitrogen because I tour occasionally and expressways pe speed gets pretty high so Nitrogen helps in cooling the tyres down because I cover more than 500-600 kms in one go. I use pure Nitrogen (that's what the folks at the pump claim, before they deflate my tyres if they have air innit). Plus Nitrogen in delhi is free so no harm done. If they ask for money, I simply refuse. I have never heard about fuel efficiency or the Tyre wear and tear. Good video tho.

You must be driving your vehicle at speed less than 60kmpl (typical mileage minded peoples) compare normal air with nitrogenwhen driving at a speed of 120kmph ++ and you have do apply emergency brakes. I have tried both airs in my Honda jazz which spins at a speed of 160 kmph+ on highway and 70kmph + in city roads and I experienced the difference and safety in terms of stability, grip on road, suspension response and braking distance. Nitrogen is alway better. So advice you to don’t take advice from others and keep aside your google research(only bare theory) and stop misguiding other people.

I agree with this video that nitrogen being used instead of regular air is not as beneficial as you think at best you may get some better retention of the tyre inflation but that’s marginal since we do not get 100% nitrogen in most cities I have tried nitrogen and air but on both the car feel etc is almost the same for the everyday cars we drive which are usually a hatchbacks and sedans or SUV

Atmosphere has 78% Nitrogen , 21% Oxygen & 1% others. So when you fill normal compressed air in tyres you have 78% of Nitrogen free in the tyre.

i pay 20 rs per tyre for new filling and 10 rs per tyre for top ups when ever required. Leakages are minimum and tyre pressure remains constant.
I am using Nitrogen gas in my Car last 6 years. But I have not seen any difference, even Tyre wear is same.
