Pop open the gear housing and tighten down the power steering motor! If not motor falls out and rips wires from the motor and you’re stuck! Definitely carry a toolbox with you if you own an ultrex! At least you can take the power steering motor out and convert the ultrex into a fortrex to get you through a tournament weekend!
You can buy them many places online. I googled it after reading your comment and found a 4pk on Ebay cheap but you should be able to get them from anywhere that sells Minn Kota products. If they dont have them they can order them for you.
My ultrex is extremely noisy, I took off the prop and it sounds like it's coming from within the gears? I didn't even hit anything.. It was fine yo until today.

It's called boat scale and on your I pilot remote
The first item I replace is the release cable. I've had two snap on me and it's not fun. Minn Kota please make that standard for all. It's a cable.
