I love my Benchmades! I've got about 47 of them from 1990 on. I just can't justify $380 for this knife- I can't- $280, sure...it'd be ordered...it's beautiful! Just can't do that... Put G10 on it, make it a user and attainable!!! I'd love to have one!
Can’t BM put out a regular-ass 710 that isn’t $300-$800? What a joke. PVD is trash. Less than 10 years ago, I got a blue/black layered and sculpted G10 handle with M390 710 for like $150.
Love the scales, not the colors. Uncoated, please. For $300, Id be in, not $400. Also, how is the action not superb at that price? I like Benchmade, love my 940-2, but why are there overseas knives like the Dropbear that have sweet action at $100?

Overall, a fine-looking knife. I'm not a big recurve blade kind of guy but I do see their value in some circumstances. Another great video Zach, keep them coming! Darn it I forgot to TROLL : )
Haven't really been feeling a lot of the new Benchmade's but they really did a nice job with this one.

If they started around dealer pricing and dealers had it for less, definitely! But it is very close based on how much knife you get!
Am I the only one who really dislikes the colour of the handle and the brown PVD coating on the blade. The colours clash and looks horrible to me.
The handles are good for me, but I agree a different color scheme would be more attractive.

First benchmade I ever bought was a 710 I got myself for my 18th b day. I paid $140 for it. I now have 4 710’s and a bunch of 940s but the prices of these knives are insane these days! I really wanted a new 710 just because the sentimental aspect of it and one day pass them to my son but I just can’t justify the price.
You have a great collection and much respect for keeping them to pass down! I was hoping to see a more budget friendly G-10 version to get everyone back into the 710. Hopefully we see one soon!

Nice knife. Definitely practice recurve sharpening on a cheaper Kershaw or SOG first. Ceramic rods.

In all honesty, the Tagged Out in S45VN is probably my favorite Benchmade I’ve ever bought. Something about the design and colorway does it for me. It’s like a modern Buck 110 🔥
Definitely has vibes of a custom from REC and what they do with their special runs on knives!!???? But what doesn’t have the looks of a different type of knife and seems to be getting to be the normal lately!!
What a knife. I'd love a 710 GC handle with the FDE blade instead. I've never been much of a fan of how damascus patterns look. That'd be my ideal setup. Still like the color combo on the LE the most, it just needs the FDE clip to match the blade! Thanks for showing off these beauties together, Zach! 😎👍

While I do like the matched coating looks, I very much dislike the tan coating on my users, like the shootout, and haven't ordered a new 710 because of it.

Honestly, if don’t think the price is out of line given the materials, details and country of origin 🇺🇸 if Spyderco made a similar knife in the USA with the same materials, it would be the same money or more

As an old guy but also a latecomer to actual collecting, it's nice to finally be on the "don't care" side of retro nostalgia. Usually I'm the hardcore fan trying to explain to the non-fan why something kicks ass lol
I just got my 4th 710 last month, #1143 of 2500, with Magnacut, love it. I have about a hundred really nice folders and the 710 is my favorite design by far. I put my first one to heavy use in my landscape design business, with D2 steel and scratch off black paint on that blade from ten years of work, then I got one with M390 steel and beautiful blue handles, worked it very hard too, also got a gold class with Damascus blade and carbon fiber handles, again used it lot's, this new one I plan to not go so hard on it for at least awhile. The shape of the blade is perfect for me, stabbing bags of fert. and mulch, it has ruined me for carrying small 3" blades for work and self defense, I just miss that 4" if I don't have a bigger blade on me. These 710's also don't take up much room in my front pocket the way my Spydercos do. I'm really happy they came out with new models of the 710 because they did such a nice job and It's my favorite of all time.

@@zachstuff Thanks. You're probably right. That sucks because I have about 30 legitimate Benchmade knives. Now it looks like I might've picked up a phony. I'm currently traveling for work and I can't look at it until after the 30th of September.
