The Backyard Bird Chronicles: A Fireside Chat with Amy Tan

For the last lecture for our 2023-2024 Winter Lecture Series, esteemed author, Amy Tan, joined NYC Audubon for a fireside chat! You may know her as the author of The Joy Luck Club, The Kitchen God's Wife, The Chinese Siamese Cat, and more, but did you know that she is also an avid birder and artist?
On Tuesday, March 5, Amy and NYC Audubon Board member, Kyu Lee, sat down to discuss Amy's latest book, The Backyard Bird Chronicles, set to release on April 23, 2024, as well as her love of birds, from spotting them in her yard to illustrating them, and nature journaling.
