It has been a long time since I've seen this technique, and I'm glad that you shared it with us. If I remember correctly, some colors/brands of cardstock don't take bleach really well, and they look a little muddy. Yours turned out so bright and beautiful. Your tip to test your cardstock ahead of time is a good one. Thanks for sharing this, Gina!
I haven't seen this technique for years. Back in my early days of stamping, used to use gel dishwasher soap to stamp. One used wood mounted stamps then. Also heat embossing wasn't a thing yet. The gel didn't run like plain bleach. Bleach pens were better. But, more expensive. Either stamped with it or brushed it to color. It was an awesome technique. I like what you did. I will give it another try. Heat embossing looks like better control too. Thanks
Really lovely card! I didn’t realize that cardstock will bleach out to different colors. Always thought they would be white after bleaching. Thank you for your wonderful tutorial!
Wow! Love this technique! Thank you for posting...I have never heard of this technique before you mentioned it during your live this week. Great to see it in action. Have a nice weekend!
This is very, very cool!! I'm a junk journaler - can't make a card at all - but this is a techniq I can absolutely use. Thanks for sharing this technique - I've never seen anything like it. Smiles from the Southern California desert, MK 😁🏜
Wow! This is amazing! I had forgotten about using bleach on cards so many thanks for refresher. Love your five minute (or a little longer 😉) videos. Thank you!
WOW...Who knew? That is amazing in itself that you would think of doing this! Love the black embossing powder, as well... I always enjoy your fun projects and cool techniques! 🥰 Thanks for sharing this awesome trick! Hugs ❤️ ~Suzy
❤️Thanks so much for sharing this technique again! When you mentioned it in your recent live, I remembered it, but so nice to have a recent refresher! I will be pulling out some colored cardstock to see what results I can get. Thanks for inspiring!
This technique is beautiful... that 'buttery yellow' is a gorgeous color. Can you add color on top of the bleach in certain areas later, after the bleach is dry, if you wanted? Beautiful card. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning. Thank u Gina. I love this card technique. R there any other household items that would work 4 this technique? We can't use bleach in our household. It gives me a major headache & throws me 4 a loop. I love how it works 4 this technique though. Have a great blessed day.
I loved this and was excited to try but it didn’t work for me. Does it have to be a certain kind of card stock? It didn’t turn it any color at all. I just used a gray color I had. I probably did something wrong which is usually the case with me🥴
Wow! I've never heard of using bleach, so thank you for another new idea - new to me, certainly. I have two questions for anyone who knows - will the finished card smell, and is thicker bleach better than the thin liquid? 😀
Will the bleach eat the paper over time... I know sometimes it will if you forget and leave bleach on fabric for several days, without rinsing with water.
I love doing the bleach technique.. I think I initially saw it from an earlier video of yours. Unfortunately I don't have your cardstock, other than a few I have gotten in card kits from you. I have used cheap Michaels brand paper but I think I will try it out on something I have from you. Do you have a favorite color to do this technique on? I love the gray.
I have never tried this method and I’ve been crafting for over 25 years!! I will now x
That bleach is really cool. Do you wake up in the middle of the night with these ideas? Clever
How I love this of quick videos tracing us techniques and giving us inspiration for our cards!

I never think of doing this technique and you’ve reminded me how awesome it is. Thanks again Gina. 👍
Julie B. just took the words right out of my mouth.
Beautiful butterflies!!
Very pretty. It’s so interesting to see what color the bleach turned the paper into. Thank you for sharing 😊🤗
Beautiful. Years ago I did a bleach technique, but I used my red rubber stamps and used the bleach instead of ink.
Fun technique with beautiful results! Thank you! 👏❤️
Love. Love, LOVE, Gina!
Very pretty, love the color it turned!
❤️Thanks so much for sharing this technique again! When you mentioned it in your recent live, I remembered it, but so nice to have a recent refresher! I will be pulling out some colored cardstock to see what results I can get. Thanks for inspiring!
Brilliant technique Gina that has great results. You are so smart!! I can't wait to try this. Love it!!
This always fascinates me. Gonna try this over the weekend!
Fabulous butterfly Gina. I was surprised when you said you were going to use bleach.
Thought this was super neat…looks really cool with that color paper at least ✌🏽
Love the bleach look.
I forgot this technique! Thanks so much!
Stunning creation Gina. Love it
Beautiful! Love this technique!
This is a really neat idea. Going to have to get some black embossing powder. Thank you.
That’s a technique I’ve never seen. Fantastic!
Wow great technique !! Beautiful card 😍
It has been quite awhile since I have done the bleach technique - it worked great. Had forgotten about it, but will try it again.

This technique is beautiful... that 'buttery yellow' is a gorgeous color. Can you add color on top of the bleach in certain areas later, after the bleach is dry, if you wanted? Beautiful card. Thank you for sharing.
You can but you do have to let it sit awhile and really dry first.
@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV great info... thank you.
it's like magic!!
I love this technique. Who would have thought bleach could do that to paper. 🤔
Looks wonderful! How long before the bleach smell disappears?
It is beautiful.
Its a beautiful card! You did that so quick and easy! My concern is will it smell like bleach?
As soon as it dries, it evaporates and the smell is gone. :)
@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV Thank you!
Linda,NZ here, love that technique, you could be really clever and paint just parts of the butterfly, but would the bleach spread?
The embossing powder holds the bleach in so you could!

Have a great blessed day.
I don't know, I think bleach is the only thing. You could try a bleach pen but it's still bleach.
I loved this and was excited to try but it didn’t work for me. Does it have to be a certain kind of card stock? It didn’t turn it any color at all. I just used a gray color I had. I probably did something wrong which is usually the case with me🥴
Hi Gina! Beautiful card!! What weight cardstock do you use to make decorative panels? I am new to all of this. Thanks in advance!!
I use mostly 100 lb card stock for they layers. :)
Beautiful! Will hydrogen peroxide work as I am sensitive to strong smell of bleach?
Wow! I've never heard of using bleach, so thank you for another new idea - new to me, certainly.
I have two questions for anyone who knows - will the finished card smell, and is thicker bleach better than the thin liquid? 😀
Wow pretty
Fun!!!
This is beautiful. Does the smell of the bleach disappate after awhile?
As soon as it dries, it evaporates and the smell is gone. :)
How long does it take for the smell of bleach goes away from the card? It is very pretty.
As soon as it dries, it evaporates and the smell is gone. :)
Will the bleach eat the paper over time... I know sometimes it will if you forget and leave bleach on fabric for several days, without rinsing with water.
No, it seems to be just fine once it dries.
@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV Thank you.

I love stormy sky and faded brick!
