Me. too!! Since I first heard him sing and his superb voice in the 60's. Today, July, 2023. Still seeking to see, listen and watch him sing and perform in his concerts. He is just outstanding in every sense of the word ❤
smudger671....I understand your skepticism. I recently did a tour of the UK with Jack Jones opening his show and performing a duet. Here are the facts! Jacks voice defies the aging process so far. When you can sing your songs in the same key as your original recordings, hit any note you want with perfect diction and intonation utilizing the same breath control that you always had, and sing the song with a jazz-oriented sense of time that is flawless...you're as good as you ever were. Such is the case with Jack Jones. Pull up Jack Jones U.K. tour 'I am a Singer' and watch for yourself. P.S. When Tony Bennett was Jack's age, everything I stated applied to him as well.
At this concert in Edmonton, you could tell his throat was bothering him a little, but I used to sing and I can detect things like that, you couldn't ask for a better performance!!! Superb in every way!! Love him and always will!!! ❤💋🎼🎶🎵 🎼🎶🎵 ould
Awesome video that's my grandpa Jimmy Blakemore playing the drums he was Jacks drummer for 30 years he started a legacy of drumming my dad plays my uncle's plays and so do I I will never forget going to there shows to see them play meeting jack and everyone begging my grandpa to let me play his drums after the show. Still have that premier drum set he's playing on grew up playing on that R.I.P grandpa the beat goes on
I saw jack Jones on the Gold Coast Australia, many years ago in the 80s... it was a great show the drummer was fantastic I found myself watching and admiring his playing. He complimented jones perfectly a very accomplished and swinging drummer.
Love Jimmy Blakemore!! Out of this world drummer! Wish I could have heard both he and Jack in person!! That concert in Edmonton was phenominal!! ❤💋🎼🎵🎶👍 You have a right to be proud of your Dad and Jack Jones.
I had the great pleasure of seeing Mr. Blakemore perform live in 1976 in New Orleans. I was a drummer with the New Orleans Summer Pops Orchestra at that time and Jack Jones was one of our guest performers. I backed many of our guest, but Jack brought his own drummer so I simply assisted in the percussion section. Mr. Jones was very good, but as a drummer, my eyes were glued to Mr. Blakemore and his playing. He was a fabulous drummer. I actually remember that huge Premier set he had. Glad you were able to keep it. Great memories. Thank you Sir.
Wow! Magnificent singing and orchestra arrangements! And in my hometown Edmonton Alberta. I loved the Gershwin/King/ Taylor medley. Brilliant idea! Thx so much for posting.
Jack just has a gift to come across on any type of music that he owns it... and he does!!! Talented and sweet man!! Oh! And just pretty and handsome!! Those eyes of his just melt me even now at 86yrs!! ❤💋🎼🎵🎶❤💋
At the Edmonton concert in 1975 He did God Bless the Child and I loved Blood Sweat and Tears version until I heard Jack's version and he knocked BS&T out of the water!! He can sing any type of music! So versatile!!! He just blows me away!!!! 🎵🎶🎼💋❤👍👍👍 BS&T
You shouldn’t tell people when they should retire!!! Jack cut an album when he was 83, Every other day I have the blues!!! Buy it and listen to it and see if you still think he should retire!!!
This is just a stunning performance. I have admired Jack Jones for many years, but this concert truly blows me away. I remember him since I was in high school (in the 1960s, God help me), and I swear he has only gotten better ... STILL performing, and quite ably, at, what is it? 79? He is just amazing. The entire concert is a tour de force. When does he breathe? The high notes, the low notes, he's just incredible. And that Gershwin/James Taylor/Carole King medley at the end ... it just is an experience. This was truly a flawless concert, by an incomparable singer, with awesome backup by his musicians and the Edmonton Symphony.
Jack considers this one of the best concerts of his entire career. A viewing and hearing show why. A singer with an extraordinary voice and superb technical skills. He is the gold standard for pop singers. Thank you for posting this sensational concert.
There are many great singers in the world, they ALL look up to this guy. He goes where other singers can only wish to go, he is the consummate performer.
Jack Jones incredibly great in concert, luckily experienced this phenomenal singer many times live from 70's on & always a thrill & Mr. Jones has still got it! This sublime trip back to the 70's is great!!!
Look at that silver fox, crooning. This, made a lady feel good about her self! A long way from being called a "bitch and ho" shaking your booty and wrestling anacondas and doing drugs mixed in candy and the blatant bazaar sexuality and nudity directed at preteens and children! There used to be a simpler time! I'm pretty glad I grew up during the 70's
He only got better all through the years!! Just went from great to phenominal!! Love the very last line from Porgy and Bess when he sings the line "BESS YOU IS MY WOMAN" AND GIVES THAT LITTLE LOOK TO THE SIDE "ALMOST A WINK"! SO SWEET AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT!! HAVE LOVED HIS MUSIC ALL THESE YEARS. HE'S JUST GREAT, THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT! HIS REPOTOIRE ALL THROUGH THE YEARS, FABULOUS! 🎵🎵🎼🎶 ❤❤💋💋
At age 86, he can't quite match his performances in the 1960's to 90's, when he was untouchable with talent, but he still puts on a pretty fairly show last we heard.
Bob Anderson you lucky dog, Jack has been my idol since 1967.....my wife and Ive rocked to this concert many times. Best entertainer I’ve seen/ heard. I’ve seen him twice in SF, what an gifted man. ( handsome stud)lol
Johan, This is an absolute gold nugget! Thank you. How did you find it? Since you appear to have means of obtaining I wonder if you know of his mid-seventies half hour weekly variety TV show produced in Canada titled: 'The Palace'. Is there any way to purchase that series? Any news if it will have a second life on TV? If I had a lead I would do the work to find out.
With all due respect to his contemporaries and near comtemporaries, Jack Jones' vocal capabilities were so huge that anyone else had to be a big admirer. Yes, even Sinatra.
Mickey you are so right!!! Jack is the absolute best there is!!! He is 84 years old now and he is making albums and doing gigs in Palm Springs!!! Sinatra could never hold a candle to Jack and he knew it!!!
@@pedrobrun9 You’re joking, right? Jones didn’t have nearly the showmanship or charisma of Sinatra. Sure, Jones was very technically proficient, but Sinatra could SELL a song to his audience better than anyone.
This concert is stunning! I have been listening to Jack Jones all of my life but only came across this at the start of the COVID pandemic. Needless to say I have listened to it many, many times since then. His timing is impeccable and he is ALWAYS in tune. Great arrangements and great band. Probably the most technically gifted singer I have ever heard (along with Sammy Davis Jr). I could write a thesis on why this concert is so great but I’ll leave with just one word - perfection!
Brazilians just adore Jack Jones. He´s sooo classy, so elegant, so distinguished. Lots of great male vocalists but Jack stands out for his lovely voice, impeccable diction and amazing charisma. Tks for sharing this gem.
He is my favorite since I was 14!!! I am 79 years old now and I love 💕 and admire him more than ever!!! Buy “ Every other day I have the blues “ and see how well he sings at 84!!!
You have still got it "Jack Jones" Be "Proud " The Good Looking Man who has Travelled The World And Can Still Make The "Ladies Swoon. ANGELA xxxxx ❤❤❤❤

Mine too, ha ha. Michael Buble is great (especially for introducing some young people to jazz in this day and age), but he's got nothing on Jonesy, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Sammy Davis Jr, Sinatra etc.
I love Jack Jones in this 1976 concert which I am so happy has been preserved on video, and I love Jack's singing all through the decades as well as now in 2014. Thank you to Jack for all the pleasure his singing has given!
Just saw Jack in concert at Scared Heart University Sat. 3/16/14 and as usual his performance was fantastic. I've seen him over the years many times in different venues and each performance was flawless. True, he has always been underrated but the true is he's the best and he proves it everytime.
I dated him a few times back in 1976 after he took a huge shine to me at one of his concerts.... long story... he was so gorgeous.. I'm now myself an old woman but these memories make me smile ❤
What can you say.........you will never hear anything live better than this! That is unless you immediately put on Jack Jones live at the Sands!!!!!!!! And, the funny thing is that he sings that well today. WOW!
Seeing your name brought back great memories, Bob. When you were singing at the "Top of the Dunes" I was a dancing in "Casino de Paris". Jack was someone I connected with in Vegas, SS Norway and in LA. I share your admiration for him.
I've just "re-discovered" him and realized what a kindred spirit he was/is. (Found an old cassette which led to watching this. I'm excited to read that some of you fans have seen him perform recently. I will try to do this as well. How wonderful.

the best version of she, excelent version.I never before hear something like in my life.thanks jack I saw you in tv when I had only 6 years, and said the best.
Just a man who loves to sing. JJ was expanding his performing range with a much wider head voice. He most certainly always had the range but started using it in the 70's. A great talent and a career that has lasted over 50 years at this juncture. That doesn't happen with staying power.
Bill Brimmer yes, a totally different sounding performer from the early Judy Garland performances and other TV shows like the Carol Burnet show, each additional 5 years of his long career he kept adding newer dimensions and emotions to his great performance. Both body and emotions opened up allowing him to let it fly. He was so technically perfect he didn’t have to think any longe, he and his music were one.

Double J nothing better still love the "There's love, there's love, and there's love" Kapp album as numero uno of all his albums but thanks for this fine post...
This is a masterclass in pop singing. I've watched this concert more times than I care to admit. Still can't believe his last note(s) on "The Impossible Dream" at 31:07. Never heard another pop singer do that or even attempt it. Then immediately follows it up with the best rendition of "Didn't We" that I have ever heard. Incredible.
JACK JONES IS A TREMENOUSLY TALENTED SINGER. HE ALWAYS CHOSE THE BEST SONGS TO SING. HE IS SEXY, GORGEOUS, ADORABLE, LOVEABLE . . .WELL YOU GET MY DRIFT. . . .SYLVIA!
Think the ol boy is singing over a cold! Edmonton ain't South Beach, ya know ;) And JJ shows how to DO it! Vic Damone in Chicago-live album- does it too. As a fellow "boy singer" you learn these things. Have to! And you learn it from the masters, like JJ. Saw him last year in Laughlin, NV. Second time, and just as good as this vid. Like wine, aged and mellowed but amazing and one of 3 last holders of "Entertainer" too. Keep the music alive. And THANKS JD for posting this!!!! :)
THIS!!!.. is how Jack sounded...the night I saw him in L.A...at the Century Plaza!..in '72...THANK YOU!!!.. for this!...I thought I'd never!..hear him sounding as good as he did that night...until now!...
I’ve always been a huge fan of Jack Jones. This concert beautifully captures his greatness. His vocal range, interpretation of a lyric, and outstanding breath control are simply unmatched. I love his “Bread medley.” That last note on “If” was incredible. I had the pleasure of meeting him several times. Truly a class act. Great singer and person.
This is\an outstanding Concert Jack, You sure are the ultimate Singer an amazing wonderful talent. Pity when you came back to the Palladium, where I was waiting sure got a terrible shock if you know what I mean, so sad but nothing I could do, still around though Stay strong my love xxxx
Sinatra never had the vocal abilities that Jack does, nor anybody else that was singing back then and all the way to now! He has an ability to adapt his to different styles!! Love him!! Pure class and a great talent that GOD gave him! BLESS HIM!!! ❤❤💋🎵🎶🎼
Wow - a concert of Jack Jones in my city! Fantastic! Never knew this existed! I would have been ten years old when he made this appearance. We had some amazing singers record in Edmonton over the years. Procol Harum was one, and Roberta Flack another. Her recording of "Jesse" with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Roberta accompanying herself on piano is on YT and absolutely sublime.
He surpassed his Dad in a lot of ways!! He crossed over in so many areas! He was super in so many ways! He had wonderful connections with people in England etc!! He just blows my mind how good he is!! Classical, rock and roll, jazz, anything he chooses to do, he is great at it!! So multi-talented!!!!! WOW AND WOW!!! HE'S A SUPRR-STAR TO ME AND ALWAYS WILL BE!! 🎶🎵🎼🎶🎵🎼❤❤💋💋
I really enjoy his vocal style and chops that I even try tried to imitate singing songs he's performed.. luv it...I feel I wanna make it just like that..enjoy my friends!
It really doesn't get much better than that.... his timing, phrasing, feel, intonation, do i have to go on....and wondefful fresh arrangements and a stinkingly good band!! Maybe Sinatra had the charisma and presence but certainly didn't swing as hard nor have the chops....
Im a huge fan of Jack Jones, always will be,watched his concerts at the Araneta Coliseum whenever he performed here, collected his albums and joined the Jack Jones International Fan Club. I like his earlier albums.
Jack Jones, one of the best of the rest, Frank, Dean, Tony, great guy, extremely pleasant, I asked him on one occasion why he has not recorded ' My Way ', I feel it is just right for his voice,& range, his response was immediate, " because its Frank's song", & he never has recorded it, or even sung it to my knowledge, & we have been to at least a dozen concerts over the years, a shame that age catches up with us all, I'm similarly aged to Jack. El TJR de Canaries.😊😊😊😊
Richard Condon The Jones Sings Legrand album is my favorite and I love his rendering of the shadow of your smile, but shadow of your smile was written by Johnny Mandel.
I’ve followed him since 1966, but I sit here blown away by his simply wonderful singing! What a voice!
I just love the way he sings. I have been a fan for many years.
Me. too!! Since I first heard him sing and his superb voice in the 60's. Today, July, 2023. Still seeking to see, listen and watch him sing and perform in his concerts. He is just outstanding in every sense of the word ❤

Absolutely fantastic!!!! One of the most underrated performers of all time!

Awesome! You can keep Sinatra. Severely underrated singer. This guy had jazz running through his veins.
Amazing phrasing and voice.
Nobody else can beat Jack's singing. I've been a fan of his ever since the age of 7 years old & still am today.
Good on you Jack.
you have excellent taste
That "B" he hits in full voice at 37:38 is pretty impressive.
Jack Jones incredibly great in concert, luckily experienced this phenomenal singer many times live from 70's on & always a thrill & Mr. Jones has still got it! This sublime trip back to the 70's is great!!!

When I said he sings that well today....I am talking about now.....July 2014. I love him and we are close friends.
With all due respects, he doesn't sing as well as he did 30 years ago. it's an impossibility for any singer as he ages.
He doesn’t have his youthful range any longer but the sound quality is still pretty dam good.

Bob you could have been a straight up pop singer yourself, but we all would have been denied your other greatness in life.
After fifty years I discovered another aspect of this amazing singer! What a singer!
I’ve watched young JJs few shows often. Too bad he didn’t record others as this and one other.

It just never ceases to amaze me just how marvellous Jack Jones was and today too, 2017. What a great voice !!!
JACK JONES IS A TREMENOUSLY TALENTED SINGER. HE ALWAYS CHOSE THE BEST SONGS TO SING. HE IS SEXY, GORGEOUS, ADORABLE, LOVEABLE . . .WELL YOU GET MY DRIFT. . . .SYLVIA!
saw him first time back in 76 and many more over the years. 3 years ago last time i saw him perform. Still fantastic. Love you Jack.
Perfect breath control. Great singer. Pity he doesn't do all his Bread material in his act now. It was really good !
Pipkin Hopkins concur, sir
I have always loved Jack's music, back to his concerts in St Louis!
Naturally gifted singer. That's how he makes it so easy.
Elegance + Class = Jack Jones.

Jack Jones
Truly superb singer. Amazing voice. Good looking too.
So glad to hear "As time goes by" sung so beautifully. 😍💝😍💝😍
THIS!!!.. is how Jack sounded...the night I saw him in L.A...at the Century Plaza!..in '72...THANK YOU!!!.. for this!...I thought I'd never!..hear
him sounding as good as he did that night...until now!...
Great show Jack. I will be flying very soon you always took me up to the Moon and beyond. Most wonderful voice in the Whole Universe.
That version of Favourite Things goes like a rocket, and Jack sings it brilliantly! Its' quite a thrilling sound.
He was my mum's favourite singer.
1976.... what a good year!...
Loved the song (think it might be called "She loves me").
Oh forgot to tell you, I have given up everything I own to come back here.
go in at minute 32 to hear a song he loved (you will to). following in his fathers foot steps...another great singer.
Magnificent Jack Jones performance show a great singer in prime form...BRAVO!
Wow. The last note of If. Amazing control.
"The Impossible Dream" so amazing and sublime !!!
Sinatra never had the vocal abilities that Jack does, nor anybody else that was singing back then and all the way to now! He has an ability to adapt his to different styles!! Love him!! Pure class and a great talent that GOD gave him! BLESS HIM!!! ❤❤💋🎵🎶🎼
are u kidding? Besides Sinatra, did you ever hear of: Sammy Davis, Bobby Darrin and Andy Williams?
Happy Birthday my Dearest Jack. Have a lovely day thinking of you. This is the 3rd try on various numbers, hope you get one of them. With love xxxx
I really enjoy his vocal style and chops that I even try tried to imitate singing songs he's performed.. luv it...I feel I wanna make it just like that..enjoy my friends!
Jack Jones rocks that hairstyle!
My very favorite singer! He has been for years!!
This may sound weird, but I always thought Jack Jones resembled Robert Redford a lot especially with his hair longer like it is here!
Thanks for all the beautiful songs. i AM YOUR BESS. XX
I love it + what a band!!! omg!!! 😍😍😍
You certainly sing up a storm on this show. Brilliant. Checking out your left hand hm.x
It really doesn't get much better than that.... his timing, phrasing, feel, intonation, do i have to go on....and wondefful fresh arrangements and a stinkingly good band!! Maybe Sinatra had the charisma and presence but certainly didn't swing as hard nor have the chops....
Alan McPike What marvelous tone, control & power in his vocals! I agree with you 100%
Alan McPike: Sinatra paled in comparison at least imo
Saw him live 3 times. 3 great performances by a singing maestro.
Im a huge fan of Jack Jones, always will be,watched his concerts at the Araneta Coliseum whenever he performed here, collected his albums and joined the Jack Jones International Fan Club. I like his earlier albums.
Absolutely aaaamazing... Bravo, Jack!
This is greatness!😊
Very appreciative for uploading!
Thank you
Jack Jones, one of the best of the rest, Frank, Dean, Tony, great guy, extremely pleasant, I asked him on one occasion why he has not recorded ' My Way ', I feel it is just right for his voice,& range, his response was immediate, " because its Frank's song", & he never has recorded it, or even sung it to my knowledge, & we have been to at least a dozen concerts over the years, a shame that age catches up with us all, I'm similarly aged to Jack.
El TJR de Canaries.😊😊😊😊
My fave singer of all time ♡
also, for his best, check out his renderings of michel legrande songs like 'shadow of your smile,' what are you doing the rest of your life' annon.
Richard Condon The Jones Sings Legrand album is my favorite and I love his rendering of the shadow of your smile, but shadow of your smile was written by Johnny Mandel.
