I started a Gospel Lofi Channel called Augustt Vibes and it seems to be doing quite well for a new channel. Thought it’s basically myself and my family that played the songs on there, I hope it picks up one day. I am not quitting though. Hopefully I will come back after a year and say indeed I am glad I didn’t give up
Who ever after watching this video decided this is great idea and want to start they own lofi channel, be sure it isn't so simple as they're describing. Hard work, investing your time, mony keeping consistent posting months afters months without big results after almost 1 year of my life. This is full time job. If you have any questions you want to ask I'm happy to help and advice. Happy Christmas all 🎄
I bro, could you show me the way? My main doubt is the reproduction of the artists' music, how can I credit them so as not to receive a copyright warning?
You've put a lot of work into this, you have a lot of content on your channel, that's really cool! But unfortunately so few views 🙈 Is it because of the high competition in the niche or because YT is not promoting your content, it would be very interesting to hear your observations.
You are right, it is not as easy as it sounds. I myself spending many hours of still figuring it out , but is worth it . One question, I had struggled finding chill-hop, or chill lofi, besides Episound , what other sources do you recommend?
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! But I wanted to post to some of the people asking you questions from the perspective of a Lo-fi artist. I keep seeing this question everywhere but if you are someone looking to set up a LO-FI Channel but you are neither an drawing artist or a music artist then expect to PAY for the art that someone else created. You won't find good FREE art because that was someones TIME and EFFORT. Sure, you can grab AI art.. but the Lo-fi channels that really make money are ones that have a respectful relationship between the artists and the creator. I personally make my own Lo-fi art and then pay for music libraries. The creator of this channel.. he pays for both and puts them together. People who use free Ai music and art won't be able to compete as well in this area. - as he said a good place to look for Lo-fi music is Epidemic sound, it's like 20-30$ a month for one channel use.. and Fiver is a good source for animated art. DO NOT STEAL ART, trust me the artist will find out and you will get a lawsuit on your hands.
Can I ask how a channel like this is monetized? I know the paying for the music library but does that give you a licence to gain money from it on youthbe?
Am I right in saying that this video covers how to stream a single video once, rather than running one of those "endless" lofi streams that's always on. How do ads work in those channels?
First wanna say your video was really helpful. I’m not sure on Using royalty free music and epidemic sound tho, I feel that remove all the magic about making the music yourself
totally understand! i think making the music yourself would be even better, but just wanted to provide an option to consider for people who could not. 😀
@@Kendless_ Thanks a lot for the help! I´m Sure this is super useful for artists and anyone starting their own channel. By the way, I make music under the artist name 'Wolflane.' I’m a producer from the netherlands athempting this lofi channel thing But you also have to consider if this stream goes 24/7 i need 3 years of music in short time
Great video! Very thorough. What plan are you using under epidemic sound? I'm trying to figure out if to use the personal or the commercial plan for making curated lofi videos.
@@Kendless_ ok awesome thanks for the reply, I do have one more question. Can you run the livestream in the background while you do other things on your laptop?
@@TulipValleyMusic222 If your PC can handle the workload then yes. You would need to adjust the setup so that if you only have one screen/monitor - it is only capturing the specific window you'd like to stream. If you have multiple monitors it makes this a bit easier to multitask and only capture one screen. I am editing a video about OBS setup right now actually and hopefully will have that uploaded this week.
I use Adobe Premiere for video editing and the music comes from epidemic sound. If I need to adjust audio volumes or anything like that, I use Premier Pro too.
it's a hard question to answer bc idk if i totally understand, but the ratio i used for the video was 1920x1080 for the overlap animation and the picture/video itself.
Your video is good, but this is not the intended use of music from Epidemic sounds. In fact, it goes against their Terms of Service. It screws over the artists because they are not getting the streaming royalties they would be owed unless they are using Content ID, which defeats the purpose.
@@Kendless_ Thank you! Also one more question please. Do you leave one laptop running 24/7 with the live stream? Or do you set up some virtual desktop somewhere?
@@ldbartsch I was using one laptop that ran it, but I have seen some other content about setting up a virtual desktop/server. I haven't tried it myself but maybe that's something I can mess around with and see how it works.

I really like using epidemic sound for all my types of videos! (link in the description). As far as art goes, I'm not 100% sure. I know there are a lot of artists on fiverr that offer good pricing and offer revisions and work with you to get what you're looking for.

is using Epidemic Sound or Artlist for my lofi youtube channel monetized? I am a little confused about their license policy. I am currently creating my own artworks to prepare it (I am a graphic designer and illustrator) they are basically going to be simple looping animation artworks.
From what I understand, epidemic sound is royalty free and on the lofi channel I've created I haven't received any strikes for using the music from their site.
@@Kendless_ Epidemic Sound and almost all the AI music generators don't allow to use the generated music for a chanel like this "LOFI girl" type of channel. so, I don't know how he is doing it, or he will get the problem later. this is from Epidemic Sound Website: "You may not use or in other way exploit the Licensed Works: for the purpose of creating a music listening experience, including, but not limited to, uses where complete or almost complete Licensed Works, on its own or as part of a compilation, are combined with accompanying visual/narrative elements that are of subordinate importance (such as, but not limited to, still image(s), panning motions, loops or other limited animation/video/audio)"

What workspace are you using in Adobe Premiere? Learning the controls have become tedious.
I'm just using the regular "editing" workspace. That's the one I usually stay in. You can probably find some quick tutorial videos out there.
