I'm a Christian myself, but I'm proud of Indonesian Hindu-Buddhist heritage. I'm familiar with "Ramayana", "Mahabharata", & many stories from Hindu-Buddhist traditions.
Let me tell you one of the most amazing things I saw in Bali was a public cremation of a head man of a village in a cow sarcophagus. I think there was a gamelan orchestra playing. I was told the ashes were poured into the sea. Everyone I know ,whatever religion, loves Bali and its special Hinduism. I hope India and Bali have got strong ties.
We Indians should also learn how to keep our places clean . Nice watching

i saw a video not long ago , they also celebrate shiva ratri but its on different lvl i was shocked to see how much influence indian culture has over the world. ramayana has spread across the countries like thai,indonesia,cambodia,Malaysia,Philippines. i wolud love to explore bali🥰🥰

if u only knew the legend and myth od mount semeru in java its so conected to india, Once upon a time the gods wanted to move the peak of the universe or Mount Mahameru which was originally stuck in India (Jambhudwipa) to Java (Jawadwipa).
Mahameru's relocation was to stop the shaking in Java, which was always swayed by the waves of the Indian Ocean and Java Sea. However, during the moving process, parts of the mountain were scattered along the way. So a chain of mountains was created that stretched from west to east Java,
It is said that Mahameru's heavy body fell with a thud into Mount Semeru. While the peak was dropped, it finally transformed into Mount Penangggungan.
