Ive seen an increase in the quality of your work over time. keep it up!
I love watching you make parts for your projects using the lathe you made from scrap parts. Those bearings need grease and I would set the races deeper so that you can put a seal on the outside. Keep doing what you are doing, it takes a lot of time and effort to build these projects and share them with us.
Good point on the seals.
I see the comments, build what YOU want, others can build what THEY want. Just have fun building, that’s what it’s all about!
If I lived nearby I could absolutely help you get that motor right again.
Resurrecting old neglected bikes is something of a specialty of mine.
The amount of time to make your videos and builds is incredible! Thanks for sharing it with us!
With opposing tapered roller bearings, you need some kind of locking mechanism for the bolt, nut or collar that sets your end play. Do not just tighten that socket head cap screw down and call it good. Search for "Bearing Collars, Sleeves & Locking Devices."
To set your end play, put a dial indicator on the end of the axle and tighten your fastener down until there is zero movement or slight pre-load, then set your locking device.
dont you need to grease bearings?
@@garlicbreadjenkins5780 yes but since he said it is finished yet adding grease would just be an additional problem everytime they are pulled apart
Sounds like fun. This might be a versatile design. It's all about the build.
You take the old statement to a whole other level: I love work i could sit and watch it all day... cause your work is super cool.
Oh yay, another over-sized heavy buggy build.
Except this one is over 100 hp
Excellent Job. Excited For The Build. Great Work.
Hahaha cringed at the scale. Tap the scale first to zero it out, then wait. Once you see zero then put your weight on. Also I really enjoy your videos! Keep up the great work!
You could just stand on the scale holding the part and then put it down. 142 lbs - 135 lbs (your weight) = weight of item.
I know man, that was painful.
Right ON, Brother!
This one will be awesome!
Getting better
This guy deserves more views and subs been watching for while now and He has gone up from complete beginner to professional This is going to be a great build🔥🔥🔥🔥
Alright Dammit!!!
This build is starting on my birthday so it damn well better be a good one!!!
No half measures,no cutting corners and the wheel travel better be epic.
......I'll be watching
I'm in youtube heaven right now. Thank you man
Its called a tapered roller bearing
And from the sounds of them when he was spinning them after assembly they need to be packed with grease.
Also known as a thrust bearing.
It’s not a cbr engine, but I have an 05 fz1000 that I already have removed and wired up to run sitting in the garage. If you are ever in Idaho I could let it go for a pretty good price for you. It’s not fuel injected but it’ll still make 150 HP.
@@jaredbudzinski8434 no, it is not also known as a thrust bearing. It's a tapered roller bearing. Don't tell the people watching this thst get "whatever this thing is called " and " this thing that connected to that" constantly since he won't educate himself inncorrect information. A thrust bearing is flat and rolls between two paralell surfaces.
jason birch interesting you are right, my college professor was calling them the wrong thing this entire time 😅. I should let him know. I think his reasoning was because a tapered roller bearing can handle axial loads better than a typical deep groove ball bearing.
Love your machine work
thank you for keeping going and investing in the chanel
Love your videos bro!! you are one of the reasons that I've started doing my own channel thank you very much I've learnt so much from you♥️👍
Please build this one with reverse
Motorcycles usually have no reverse...
@@JonnyDeRico yes but he meant to make it have reverse with a lever or something
@@cEngine could be tricky with 172ps 😆
Reverse gearbox, and at the very least he was once working on his own ruclips.net/video/_qlVgWnYs7g/видео.html
@@takerkanefan108 maybe adding an electric drive just for manover in reverse in slow speeds. Perhaps this can be combined with a winch...
I love watching how you've grown as a craftsman. Great job, keep it up!
You are a great fabricator in my opinion because the tools you use you've build yourself. Well done buddy! 👍😁
5 minutes into this video I found myself thinking about the yz85 shifter cart. It is really cool seeing your builds transform from little badass go carts, to big off road beast! You are a genius! I'm sure you dont see it lol. But from the first video I saw from you (the yz85) I've been hooked. Keep it up brother thanks for the vids
that's easily the best hand truck I've ever seen.
Your editing and building skills are getting better and better. I'm really enjoying your content and keep up the great work. The music didn't go unnoticed. 😁👍
You got me all excited to see how this is going to work. Looking forward to the next video, keep up the great work!
No other content clicks with me as much as this does keep up the good work👍
good work man! i like all the machining you do yourself.
I like this channel. I like that you build and fabricate your own parts. Keep up the great work
So I just came from marathoning the homemade lathe build... and I'm pleasantly surprised to find that you've been using it for all the recent projects you've been working on. I gotta say, I'm impressed.
good work man! i like all the machining you do yourself. more fun to watch someone make there on parts insted of just buy everything
In a world full of scrap IRS cars... A breaker sourced hub would be lighter and simpler!
*Obvious Comment Alert = Yes, I know this is a DIY fabrication channel ;
Amazing parts you're a great fabricator
Man I just saw your latest video on this series, and went back now to watch the whole thing from the start.. Good stuff :) :)
I'm so curious. Great work.
Incredibly excited for this build! I keep thinking when I watch through my various 100s of RUclips channels that I subscribe to that whatever new project I'm seeing built is THE BEST BUILD YET! Then a new project will come along like this one! Cracked House Fab has an INCREDIBLE build going on right now with a 4WD cross kart! Maybe after this, you could do something like that too!
Fantástico trabalho,não perco um só trabalho deste canal, sempre com boas ideias!!!
Looking good! 👍
As always great work! Really excited about this one!
Dude great work 👍🏼👍🏼 I’ve been following you for a while now and just remembered to subscribe. First time commenting also
That engine can work. It was really cheep. We bought a 2008 CBR 600rr for our FSAE for about 800 dlls. It was just the engine and it had a. Repair in the sproket zone. If your engine doesn't have water mixed with the oil the only thing you'll need to do is to take off the motor head and clean very good all the cilinders before even trying to move it. Spry some rust cleaner and let it work for a couple of hours. Then just polish the motor head and put a new gasket. For the wire harness you can try the long one from haltech (work pretty good and have great quality) don't remove any material from the valves, remove gently the rust and Polish them. Make sure the valve matches the sit in the motor head so you don't have any leaks in the combustion. Wich you the best of success in this project.
Chris great genie.
I like the home made pipe roller fixture. First time I've seen you use it. 👍
Ready for the show
Make sure you use the stock air box. I’ve got a 600 in my odyssey and you need to have the stock air box for it to run correct
Can’t just re jet it
Mine was carbs but you can’t just re jet bc there cv carbs and they need the stock air box for the correct volume of air so when you go over bumps it doesn’t run correct because the slides bounce up and down
If you keep makin these videos I’ll keep watching them! 👍
VF1000 will finally have some competition
Thanks for all the great videos, i really enjoy watching them.
Just one thing.
Dont forget to build in sealings in the hubs.😊👍👌
Wow another project man you are on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 that engine is going to be insane!!
very good video..thanks for your time
You're a mad scientist!
it is cool to watch you work with the lathe and welding
The Metal Working Guru 👍
That is going to be bad ass!!!!!!🇺🇸💪!! In my opinion you do really good work..
Man that hand truck has seen better days. 🤣
You are a PRO...... at making parts.....damn..
Wow, looks like is going to be a major build. At least this time you are starting with enough HP to push it around.
Bom trabalho, top demais! 🇧🇷
I love u dude for real, your videos satisfying me the moment the notification Popped up . Keep up and best of luck and success.
I'm super siked to see this rear suspension build! Building it with no Heim joints I can imagine because lots of cars and buggies don't use them. But no CV axles?!?! lol. That I can't imagine!! REALLY looking forward to this build!!!!!!
Very excited for the new project, I hope it will be as cool as the vf1000
Man your getting very good at your work man your amazing
I got an old goldwing engine that had water in the intake runners that was pretty rusty and i thought I'm screwed but with removal of the heads and a good cleaning at it was fine as long as the pistons aren't seidzed you should be golden
Never buy anything without taking a good look at it and even if you drove 6 hours of you have that gut feeling dont do it
Great stuff Chris! 2 tips / suggestions... 1) Consider replacing your Press Jack with a Pneumatic jack... Much faster than manually pumping and will work great for operations such as broaching, like you were doing. Harbor Freight sells 12-ton and 20-ton pneumatic jacks. 2) Consider buying yourself a set of V-BLOCKS for various operations such as holding round stock parallel in your vise. I use both of these tools in my shop all the time. GREAT inexpensive upgrades well worth the investments.
You offer wonderful and distinctive content, followers from Egypt
Every project you do the engine get bugger and bigger each time!
I'm excited about this. Thing has almost as much HP than my Civic, and the car is peppy af. It scoots.
these bearings have specific mounting positions. they can be set up in 2 different ways. This tells you if you have to preload them or leave them loose. I cant find the words in english but they are rather complicated to use compared to the straight ball bearings
Double swing arm?? I’m very excited to see how this goes. You are very talented. Thanks for the quality content.
Amazing how you can make every thing!! Your a inspiration for my channel. 42 subscribers😃❤
Coca cola as engine oil good video bro
@@casperwardyork7608 what do you mean sleeping?
That's a big project bro keep the videos coming
Reliable way to weigh something fairly light using a bathroom scale: Weigh yourself, weigh yourself holding said item. Subtract your initial weight (tare) from the second weight (gross) and the result is the net weight of the item in question. Easy peasy and fairly accurate.
Wow bro nice job. This was very impressive
Whoa dude🥰🥰🥰 amazing machinery's work.
Cannot wait for the next episodes c:
A guy down the rd was building a buggy with suspension using a chain drive off the front to the back hub. Lots of fab but kool.
can I put some turbos on this please :)
Yes
Just send them to him, im sure he would be happy to do it
am from jamaica bro your builds are freaking awesome
fun fact: aluminum rims are often heavier than steel rims. Making aluminum light is more complicated, so to keep them cheaper, they make them heavier so the disigning and manufacturing is cheaper/easier.
Finished the whole video already
yeeey finally mini trophy truck
I like the way you did multiple keys for the rear axle! I think that will hopefully be just about as good as a splined axle if not better! They certainly look beefier than a splined rear axle.
You offer something very creative, followers from Egypt
Making the engine run, is gonna be an interesting project
I appreciate your work and drive. Keep at it and you’ll see 500k+ subscribers before you know it. Would love to take my sons your way for a meet and greet.
Had a cbr1000rr motor and transmission sitting around wanting to make a build this will help a lot same motor and all
I feel like we see all these awesome projects but we never get to see them climb a mountain or a trail. And whatever happened to the trike?
Love the channel
Those port look sick other than the rust lol no wonder they make big power
If you are not sure if your gonna use this engine....and i know you prefer the cbr engine....but i would suggest the 1500cc v6 from a honda goldwing cause it has a reverse and a cruise control, a lot of torque/hp ...but not sure about the prices!...glad to see you start a new project....keep it up!
when a 1l has more power than your 2.4l and your 3.4l
also your progress as a fabricator is insane, keep it up
Yesss new buggy
It's funny RUclips channel is I Rather Be Welding when you do twice as much machining. You have more machining tools then a machine shop. Lol
Digital scales like that usually calibrate them selfs when you start them, so push it to activate, remove weight and add it when it has done calibration...
You ain't lying about that shipping being ridiculous I'm still waiting a month later for a set of Hub adapters I ordered from California and I'm in East Texas
I really hope you didn't pay that guy his full asking price if the ad said "running engine" :/
Bet the guy didn't say when it was running, maybe before the crash, LOL
I think it was worth $500, it would have been a screaming steal if it was in the condition described.
this soundtrack hits different
I would love to see you mid mount the engine. Like the rock bouncer buggy, Outlaw.
Keep it compact.
Like your videos I have two engines ones in my buggy it's a zx1000r and I have a GSXR 1000 but I live in Southwest Florida
