I feel bad for his daughters… when your own father says “they’re not my kids they’re Leann’s” it’s really something
It hurt my heart hearing him say that, I can't imagine what his daughters were feeling. I honestly think they have disassociated about him and that hopefully saved them from the true heartache of your father carrying more about getting drunk and trying to force his ego onto anyone that'll listen. No kid should have a father like that but at least they're well off compared to many but by no means is it a substitute for a father.
If they decide to pursue a relationship with a man it’s going to be extremely difficult with him as their role model

Why do you think he’s constantly talking over everyone? I mean, the obvious answer is correct; he’s too narcissistic to consider what others say and it never once occurred to him that something of value might be said. But I also think it has to do with criticism- if he constantly interrupts and talks over people, he won’t have to hear the criticism and jabs.

That’s probably partly why she puts up with his b/s. He gets to go around getting wasted until passing out all the time, doing his podcast and whatever else he does, and she gets to just collect the paycheck and be a normal person and raise the kids and have a normal life. No one is paying to watch Bert perform in those arena shows. Bert is just able to convince a lot of popular comedians that people do want to see to perform in his shows. People go because it is a stacked lineup of 5 or more very popular comedians. If Bert didn't perform in any of the shows & it was just the popular comedians he convinces to tour with him, no one would complain & they would still sell out. But if it was just Bert performing without all the other popular comedians, he would have trouble filling a large theater.
BERT probably sells 70,000 tickets EVERY WEEK!!! He made $23million dollars on ticket sales alone last year. It’s mind blowing that there are so many knuckle dragging BERT fans out there…
I went to a bert show… to watch Marc and Shane. We left as soon as Bert came up to beat traffic.
Bert has to work 24/7, on his marketing, to make up for his lack of comedic talent. He traded in being a father, personal development and a husband to be able to successfully market his unsuccessful comedy.
That can be said about most people trying to live out “the American dream” I own a business and have to worry about others families and the food on their tables. I’m 31 so I’m trying to figure it out before kids but most aren’t that fortunate. That’s why I don’t hate on Bert, I also hate talking shat on people it really makes my wife mad…

I think he does therapy already; the problem might be that he is not honest with his therapist. Or that he isn't listening to the most likely advice his therapist is giving him: stop drinking, be with your family more, challenge your party persona by doing something new without advertising it, and learn to exist outside the sight of other people.
Therapy, especially for famous people whose issues are part of their identity, isn't an immediate panacea. It requires a willingness to listen, grow, and change.
I always thought therapy was stupid, but 4 months into this court order and I actually feel better about myself.
Near the end when Stavros was saying some real shit and Burt instantly looses focus when a drink comes in, hes literally just not listening to anything.

stavros is doing it for the love of the game and because he’s good at, sometimes people have a calling that involves being in the spotlight but that doesn’t mean they do it because they want to be in the spotlight. bert is a person that has always wanted to be the center of attention and chased that in everything he’s ever done, it is a core part of his being in his personal life and relationships as well as his career. he doesn’t really care about comedy, i’ve never heard him talk about his idols or inspirations that made him want to be a comedian, what he loves about comedy is that he gets to get on stage and have people pay attention to him and make money.

I think another part of the thing with Bert mentioning Chris is that Bert just can't imagine that things have changed. He doesn't understand that these people who are around him when he got popular are not living in this imaginary pedestal position. They have reputations that have swayed in all different directions. I think he thought of himself and them as being in some immovable position that would never be lost.
Burt can't grow up, change or develop, so why would he be able to understand that people around him do?
