Get the surgery, do a cadaver acl, do your bed exercises every day! Do pt! Don’t skip ever! I’m going to be a FA. I went through that two years ago. Don’t eat out of depression or boredom like I did. I gained weight while in bed so much. Trust me.
My husband tore his ACL when I was 7 months pregnant. The orthopedic surgeon looked at me - and my belly & said there was no way he can do surgery bcuz I wouldn’t be able to care for him. This was 28 years ago-I’m sure medical things have changed, but he never had the surgery. He was a police officer & 29 yrs old. Today at 57 he has a little pain now & then but that’s it. Everyone is different & you’ve made the right choice for you. You’re young & healthy & I’m sure your recovery will be on the shorter side
I lived with a man/boyfriend for 25 years who had 12 surgeries on his right knee. He had screws put in and screws removed. They finally did a Cadaver ACL implant. His recovery went well and after physical therapy he did well. Best of luck to you!!
You’ll do great. It’s natural to be afraid to have surgery. Just take comfort that the surgeon and nurses have done this 1000 of times and know what to do. Best wishes and I’ll keep you in my prayers.
I have no idea why RUclips suggested your video to me, but I'm very glad I watched it it all. You sure come across as a fantastic person. Best wishes and fast recovery. Oh, and yes, I couldn't help it, and I subscribed to your channel.
I've had a shredded ACL. My knee was SUPER unstable. I was 18 when I had a type of synthetic material placed for my ACL. Unfortunately (luckily it is fairly rare), I developed CRPS which spread to my full body.
Good luck with your surgery you got this! I had my tubes removed in February and it went very well. Other than that they found endometriosis that went undiagnosed for many years. So I’m hoping your surgery goes great and you have a speedy recovery
Best wishes on ur surgery Samantha. Im sure everything will go well. Exercising prior to surgery is a plus for u. I had total knee replacement and because I did those exercises prior, it made a big difference on my recovery and all went well. U also have ur young age in ur favor. Ur in my prayers 🙏❤😍🥰
Thoughts with you on the surgery. I’ve had a few surgeries and all went well. A friend at work had acl surgery and is doing just fine. These doctors are amazing now and do wonders. Let us know how it goes and can’t wait to watch the recovery after surgery with pt.
