They went through all that so called effort to construct these only to make them limited. The $250 tag was already bad enough, but to make them so limited is insult to injury. Nike needs to be humbled.

I would have paid the $250 just based on that but to release such an iconic color way on the Jordan 1 which is my favorite silhouette and make it to where it would be nearly impossible to get is crazy. Kind of easy to say that a great consolation prize is the Black Toe 1's when you already touching the one people really want and if the thought process with JB was to make one for the collectors in true OG fashion raise the price and make them limited, they could have still released a regular OG high as well for folks that's not trying to spend a stack. With all that said, I'm not spending a stack on these.
Definitely not worth it but what are you gonna do if they are as limited as they say and the Real sneaker lovers/collectors like myself want them for the toe!

We have slowly been robbed of the opportunity to purchase a retail pair. Even if they made 220k+ pairs of this shoe, it would be damn near impossible to get a retail dub.. 80% of the pairs(of the most coveted) kicks are gone before we can earn our L. I’ve said this on other vids. These Bred 85’s are easy to get, you just have to be willing to pay $900 - $1k.
the technology to exactly replicate the 85 Jordan takes about 15 minutes. A digital scanner can completely scan the shoe and get exact dimensions. As far as the materials, Nike is just playing you by saying that they had to melt a tongue down to see what materials were used.
Funny how people in The sneaker community think that the tumbled leather means it’s a higher quality leather. This release has full grain thick cuts of leather, way better than the tumbled. More importantly look at the shape with the back of the shoe up to the collar is straight up and down like the original 85’s hanging over Jordan’s shoulder. Look at the toe box nice and slanted. The 2016 has the thin cheap cut of tumbled leather. With the wimpy collar sloping towards the front mid the shoe. Tumbled is just pressed into the leather. These thick cut where in better and the creasing creates a natural tumbled look and the creasing looks like natural breaking in because the thick cut holds up against decreasing much better than the thin 2016. The standard pair like the 2016 are actually garbage compared to these.
