    As a fan of Thomas Harris and having read all the books and seen the movies I’m disappointed that the perfumer decided to go the bloody gore road. Hannibal Lecter is such fascinating and elegant psychopath. Yes he eats people and is a serial killer, but he has a very sophisticated nose that can recognize a lot of notes. He also has extremely expensive taste. In the second movie there is a scene where Clarice brings a letter that has been perfumed using real ambergris and other rare blended notes hand made by a perfume house in Europe to a panel of professional noses. This ultimately became his demise and was how Clarice found him. I would think a more elegant sophisticated perfume using rare ingredients would have been made instead. I still would love to try this. Love your reviews!

      I'm glad someone else recognised that. Such an unnerving and fascinating moment! The production design of the second film is divine as well, especially the Italian gothic architecture!

    Thanks Tom for reviewing such an interesting fragrance. Now I am so scared, don’t think I will ever try this fragrance, timid as a rabbit...take care for now and looking forward to the next RUclips clip 😊

    Oof I shuddered when you were describing the leather. 😖Awesome review. Silence of the Lambs also traumatized me as a kid, but now it's one of my favorite movies

    Yeah, the Hannibal movies freak me out, too, but still I watch them over and over again, haha! I got even more freaked out when I discovered that Hannibal Lecter was based on an actual doctor in Mexico, a surgeon by the name of Alfredo Balli Trevino, who was convicted of murdering and chopping up his lover. Eeeeek

    Great video! I loved the books, and the films were also great. I just found this parfum, and I was wondering would I like it or not. I will try out probably. Thank you!

    That's funny :) I tried this perfume last summer in Klaipėda, Lithuania. Fragrance is very unique, conceptual, artistic. Someday I will wear it. But definetely not today. By the way, Hannibal Lecter is Lithuanian.

    This sounds so interesting. I need to sample this. Silence of the Lambs is one of the best movies ever imo. So creepy and like you said, creepier that it’s based on a true story. I don’t know if I’d like it, but I’d like to try it out of curiosity.

    • @onlyme75
      @onlyme75 4 года назад +1

      Elements are based on a true story. You often find a lot of films will add "based on true events" even when it's the smallest link

    • @ouch110
      @ouch110  3 года назад +1

      It is for sure, pricey though for something so abstract!

    My favorite part of this perfume is metallic leather smell to it. Which is why you said it smells humanistic to you like if you assumed you took dead human skin and you wore it as your jacket.

    This has been on my sniff wishlist for a while - and how you describe the leather makes me want to smell it more 💗
    The only thing that's stopped me ordering a sample is that Bloom charge £10 - and that just seems well overpriced, seeing as the FB works out at just over 2 quid per ml. Do you know why they ask such a silly price?
