The tinging of the spacebar on rebound with heavy keycaps is a pain...
Yeah the spacebar is pretty interesting sounding but it's probably my least favorite part of the keycaps
Okay either you're influencing me HARD or we're already on the same wavelength because I want to put the Mint Green caps on a Zoom70! (With the Kang Whites as you suggested or some SPs)
Will they rust easily? They did not mention what type of metal is it.
I doubt it. It's mostly recycled from the periodic elements keycaps so it's probably mostly aluminum. They have a finish on them so I doubt they'll rust

Can you tell me how they've held up over time and if you've used them a lot? Wondering if the coating will stay on with heavy use, and if the keycaps stay on the switches.
I haven't used they a ton, but so far the coating is pretty much like new
What about switches for this metal keycaps? Is 67g switch would feel like 50g?
Yeah they feel considerably lighter. My ws reds are 67g but they feel closer to 45 or 50 with the metal keycaps

Do they feel pretty metallic / metallic compared to other metal keycaps or do they feel noticably "painted"?
They surprisingly don't feel too "metally." Idk how to explain it, but they're kinda smooth and dense

Split spacebar support? What was the build on the test board? I may have missed it if you mentioned it, apologies
No split spacebar support unfortunately. The build is a zoom65 v2, ws studio reds, pc plate, all foams
@@SimulatorTech ahh ok, would recommend fewer foams just to get a better idea of the sound in the future, but at least you used the same setup each time so there's that. I felt like I heard foam a bit too much through those keycaps to know what they really sound like. To be clear, I have no issue with that in a build, just for sound tests it adds another factor. At least now I know it sounds pretty good with foam!
@jammies701 that's fair. I generally find the zoom65 to sound best with more foam, but it definitely does affect the sound a bit
@@SimulatorTech of course it does, but if it's a switch review sound test, i want to hear the switches, not the subjectively best sound test

Have you tried cerakeys before? If you have, is there any difference between awekeys and cerakeys?
I haven't tried cerakeys before unfortunately
Someone on the discord got pissed at me for asking this in another video lmao. I feel like it's a fair question since they compare awekeys against plastic keycaps but not ceramic like Cerakeys. Both are unconventional keycap materials at similar-ish price points that result in a thocky sound. I'm interested in trying both personally, but if an influencer already has both sets it would save me the time of wondering.
