That's what you get when people hunt the big adults of snapper species on a reef. They are the most effective predator of urchins (aside of sea otters on the northern hemisphere) but the size difference needs to be enough for them to fit their mouth around it.

Today saw those things for the first time irl in Greece. From what i read about them, they're not always pests, and if their population is not out of control they are quite good for the environment. I hope this guy was licensed to do this because you're not supposed to generally treat these things as pests unless they turn into ones
