Wouldn't be a Fins offseason without a Jaylen acquisition.
Makes it easy for mcdaniel. All I have to do is say hey jaylen and the locker room and half the guys turn around😅
😂😂😅
I imagine they have a draft board....then on the other side it's a Jaylen board 🤣🤣
_It’s nice having a Draft where Miami has more than 3 picks for once…._
It’s not like Miami just started drafting players all of a sudden 2 years ago, after some crazy long hiatus. And it’s certainly not like they just magically didn’t have picks or anything to show for it. They traded potential player picks for proven commodity.
Solid draft. Fins up
Wright, Kamara and both Washingtons were absolute steals at their spots. I wish we had more OL picks but I love it!
Im super excited for Wright. I'm a VOLS fan and he was a monster this past year. Glad he came to us for sure!
My favorite picks from this draft are easily Chop Robinson, Jaylen Wright, Mohamed Kamara, and Malik Washington! 🐬🔥
Yea washington in the 7th was wild
6th 184th overall which was Malik Washington from Virginia (WR). The 7th round pick was another WR, with some gunner and KR/PR ability, Tajh Washington out of USC, pick 241.
Solid draft.... i love the wright pick
This was the best pick, but the draft sucked this year…. Griers worst draft yet.
@@emrs6005My man.. Wright, Kamara and both Washingtons were all projected to go a full round earlier to when we took them. Grier just took value pick after value pick.
Xavier weaver, Curtis Jacobs, frank gore Jr, FAU edge Evan, Colorado state TE dallin holker, S Josh proctor Ohio state, Joshua cephus, DT Leonard Taylor, Gabriel Murphy from ucla I could keep going when it comes to ufda targets
LT for Next Year, 2 Very good DE's , Play Maker RB, Safety not sure and 2 Slot WR's
and nothing to fix our offensive line this year and absolutely no one to replace Hunt
@@haroldwelsh6688 I agree, guess back to free agents.

As a dolphin fan from CA you are my go to for phin news man, thank you, love this draft class
Dougie, I sure liked what little I saw of Brooks. I pray they don't give up on him. He runs hard. I sure hope he sticks.
we got guys with a lot of future potential later in the draft. Getting a hidden gem or too....and that folks is how you ACTUALLY win the draft
It was a great day 3 draft considering they got a steal in Wright and Washington. That's not even including Kamara and McMorris who could be quite productive in their roles right away
Wright we got for a 2025 3rd round pick. Kamara and McMorris are very unlikely to contribute right away considering they are day 3 picks.
@Isaac-eh6uu Injuries happen, Maybe we won't see Patrick Paul but Kamara has a good chance of seeing the field especially if there's a setback in chubbs injury
After watching pauls highlights i love the dude hes great
Hi doug . Im sorry about my comment in a earlyer vid . Over reacted to your comment and didnt pick that you were joking as such .just want to say i love your channel and you man for all that you give to me and other phin fans .thank you .
lol
Jaylen Wright is going to be a super star. He's the Swiss Army Knife of the offense. Catch, run, slot receiver, 3rd down conversion specialist galore... oh yeah. He was my favorite pick in this draft. The rest was a B- for me.
My Volunteer heart is happy. Wright was my favorite Vol Last year, and I hope he can take that momentum to the NFL.
Grier and the Fins did very well with this draft. I would have liked an IOL taken at sone point, but not upset about it. Easily an A- grade for me on the surface. Have to wait and see how the players play within the system to really know how good they are and assign a true grade.
You’re my favorite Dolphins content creator keep up the great videos
Very happy with this draft class I believe this is Chris Grier best draft to date
IOL from OSU looks pretty interesting. Storm Duck (!) looks pretty good DB. I think they did pretty well overall - I think we’ve got some potential. Good value - if the OL guys we have step forward, we look pretty decent. B+
Thanks Doug 😊
Very happy with this draft, I love it at first glance. Especially on the Washington and Wright picks.
I loved the blinking noise Doug...do more of that haha.
Wright and achane can definitely form a formidable duo for the future since mostert is getting older and I doubt Wilson comes back next year
Awesome front office! Chris Grier is brilliant. GO FINS 🐬
Now it's on to the UDFA competition....this is where we have done good some years and busts some years too. I think they go hard after several UDFA offensive linemen. That is going to be fun to watch this preseason.
Looking at what they did in the draft might not make total sense but when you couple it with FAs they brought in (C, S, TE, DT, LB, CB) and think they might bring in a guard and maybe another LB June first, it was a great offseason.
I have read Weaver runs a 4-3... I see middle linebacker all over Kamara.."loves physical contact"
You have grown up a lot. I’m proud of you, my brother.
Grier and Mcdaniel knew we weren't loving this draft so they had to do something special to get us back on their side: Jaylen Wright. I was rooting for them to get a wr from Rice USC, Washington USC, or Washington Virginia. They got the 2 Washingtons.❤❤❤
A+
Fun fact check out McMorris covering a lot of ground and breaking up a pass of Washington that probably would have been a TD. He also has some physical tackles on his tape
Good Evening Phinz Up
Good summary, Doug. Congratulations on getting to 47k subs. Lookout, 50K…Douglie is coming for you😂😂
Good Job Doug on your summary of the draft and the reasoning on the picks even on the ones like RB that didn't seem dire- it's a nice pick for the future to have Wright and Achane together now.
I was very aggravated through this whole draft too I had to watch the whole thing to the end
I actually liked this draft, lots of guys that need to develop see how the coaches help that.
It was a solid draft
Great Day 3 for Miami. My favorite picks overall...Kamara, Wright & Chop...and my overall grade was a solid B! Would've been an A, if we got Barton or JPJ!!
I like this draft. Think they did good with were they were at.
Grier and company had a good depth draft even though we needed a couple impact starters.
Great Draft🎉😊
good video
A+, great draft.
Grier and MCD Killin it
Grier treated this Draft as future-proofing for '25 and '26. I'm fine with that and I completely understand it. Armstead's retiring after this year, Chubb will be traded probably in '26, and Tyreek's going to be cut/traded after this year. Jaelan, Waddle, Holland and Tua are getting their contracts over the course of the next calendar year. I get all of that and the necessary moves a GM has to make to be competent at his job.
I also refuse to accept that Grier thinks that the IOL is acceptable in any capacity, let alone when you factor-in that since Tua's been there, the line's never been below-average over the course of a season. It's never not been, at best, bottom five. It's been historically awful (2021), and for none of these years can you just blame injuries on the quality of the OL. Right now, we're staring down the barrel of Mr Glass playing six games and not being available for any of the big games ('cause shit goes that way), a good, not great OG with injury concerns in Wynn; a FA C that was fucking abysmal in pass-coverage the last three years, a backup RG as a starter, and a RT that took four years to finally make the turn into being good (not all his fault and I commend him for the shit he's had to go through). So I'm gonna need someone to fucking explain to me how I'm supposed to be ok with this, when Grier could've levied future picks to get me at least two IOL between Rounds 2 and 7. Am I supposed to believe Barry's a fucking wizard that'll not only get everyone playing out of their goddamn minds, but never miss a snap? 'Cause I'm not exactly confident in that.
Again, I think the Draft was good in a lot of ways. I'm also foaming at the mouth angry that Grier did literally nothing to address the worst position group on the roster and not draft Will Reichard.
Good draft..got good depth and talent at positions of need
I agree I think we see the Oline fa signing soon
Yeah I believe so too
Dolphins fans during drafts: horrible picks FIRE GRIER
Dolphins fans 4 years later ( the same players get $500 million in free agency: how dare he didn't overpay for those players?? FIRE GRIER
Half of our fans are trash
Love the Take....
It's almost like it's possible to pick GOOD players that are strategically bad fits. Sure, and long-term project that turns into a diamond is great, but you don't get immediate help and, if all goes well, end up with a star for a year or two before you probably can't afford to resign them.
That may be great if the priority is long term stability, but not if you are in a "win now or rebuild" window.
Picking BPA does not make you GM a genius, assuming a good scouting dept. Picking the RIGHT BPA is a lot harder.
@@JeepnHeelthis is the worst and most poorly articulated comment I've ever seen, in other words you sound dumb.
The GM is job is to add talent to a roster and the coaches job is to make it fit or make your skin fit the player. "How do you know?"
Played D1 football and coached football for 12 years total. As a coach you realize to win you have to make schemes to fit your players. So is it the former coaches you have issues with or Mike?
One caveat to Chris is he does do a poor job of hiring head coaches up until Mike. Should've had a better idea of how Flores was a jerk and a cancer for this team
can Grier get some props i think just with the first two picks alone it was a good draft
I agree give him his props
Solid draft, really would've loved to see a receiver over 6 foot drafted but I know Chris Grier has a vision just gotta trust the process
Could have had 6'6" WR from FSU, instead a5'81/2" WR?
@@davidpittard5522 exactly haha but after watching some tape I actually really like the Malik Washington pick he was a steal that late
I agree 100% Douglie, day three was the best.
I like the draft and don’t hate drafting positions before they become needs but I hate that I feel like we won’t be able to judge this draft until the end of next year because most of these guys are developmental or like Jaylen will probably be rotational players until next year at the earliest
That hat is nice Doug
I thought you said you weren’t. Going to grade it!!
We're going to kill it in free agency. Dalton William Risner and X are still out there. Btw, I miss that intro, dude.
Great you cap, where can buy ?
Hey Doug so ur not mad anymore at Grier ! Lol😂
I gave it a B too. Great show tonight
Malik Washington High light real looks impressive.
Happy with draft only one I wish they took DT in 5th
Great draft coverage thank you sir
Good yob!!! 🐬☝🏾
And Kamara is from Newark 😊
I was happy with the draft.
That usc wr washington in the 7th and the other wr were solid picks. Rb definetly my favorite pick
Fabian Lovett Snr from Florida State still looks an available UDFA. Wouldn't mind us looking at him although I get the feeling he'll end up at Denver or Kansas
Malik is an F!!! A 5’8” wr??? We need a big body wr. Would love to seen Rice there instead
I think this was a solid draft. I think that it was very strategic. The players that they took and most importantly WHEN they took them, will definitely dictate the money that they may have to pay down the road. None of them are the "sexy" pick, but they could be more than their draft positions say. I dunno, I think every pick was smart
Actually the fact that our owner put us in a bad situation with the tampering bs did not leave much room for Grier or McDaniel to have a great draft- Given the situation we are going to have to see if we can make something out of a bad situation
Dolphins 2024 Draft
#21 Chop Robinson, EDGE
#55 Patrick Paul, OL
#120 Jaylen Wright, RB
#158 Mohamed Kamara, EDGE
#184 Malik Washington, WR
#198 Patrick McMorris, S
#241 Tahj Washington, WR
I like how they doubled up on both pass rush and receiver, and their other selections of Patrick Paul, Jaylen Wright and Patrick McMorris were solid. GRADE: A. I like it!
Great coverage as always ! Thank you! I disagree with you on Grade and who we picked. Players are good but I just think we ddint draft the right ones.
NO INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINEMEN??
NO DEFENSIVE TACKLES??
2 DE and 2 WR and a RB??
One DE sure but not in the first!
I dont care how fast he is but with our RB depth chart:
Roster RB1
Achane RB1A/RB2
Wilson Change of pace back
Brooks RB4
Do we really need another RB??
Yeah we could use another WR but 2 of them amd neither of them larger X type of recievers?
Lot of experts are giving us a C grade and I agree.
No starters drafted on a team with clear needs is nof a good draft.
Phins up
We needed a guard and defensive tackle
To move up and take a RB in the 3Rd Rd seems like a reach Finz are loaded at RB besides the starters we also have Brooks and Wilson Jr they shouldve taken a Guard!
on the surface the moves look good but in reality they're all subpar selections - first two picks are not starters and will have to be coached up to be ready and giving up yet more draft capital to add to a position that is already set is a steep price to pay for a luxury pick when the asset could have been utilize for more needy roles like the OL and DL. Keeping in mind that they also had the 2nd fewest draft picks this year, projects and giving away future picks isnt the best use of the limited assets you do have.
Overall good today, probably B+/A-. Would be a solid A if we didn't completely ignore both DT and IOL for all 3 days. Overall draft grade I'm looking at a C to C- for those reasons.
The game I saw of Kamara was his worst graded game according to PFF, so I guess that's good cause I was not too excited what I saw in that one. I like this pick...I would like it more if he wasn't the second Edge taken by Dolphins this draft.
Both WR feel like we added another Berrios to me, which isn't bad but we could use some SIZE out there. Would have liked Johnny Wilson who went right after the first WR we took, but I knew this coach would probably draft a small guy that can't win a jump ball in the end zone even before the draft.
The only two picks I liked in this draft was the lineman and the running back I don't know why they pick two wide receivers
what offensive line will our running backs run behind?
Wish they could've signed Cohen otherwise pretty decent draft Kamara is my favorite day 3 pick
solid b- c plus range lets circle back in 2025
Doug do you think easy E will play this year he is a awesome wide receiver when he is healthy he is just not had a chance to play other than preseason really
I don't know what defense they will run this year or if defense will be better.
Good draft class. Love the picks from top to bottom. I'm very excited about Colorado State edge! I think he's gonna be the better edge of the two. (Both are going to be good) Basically, he didn't go higher because he's 6'1. He's going to play with a chip on his shoulder. He's had more sacks than Chop had. (Just sayin)
Jaylen Wright!!!!! That is all!!!!! Overall good draft
In my Lindsey’s draft guide they have Wright as the #1 RB prospect
Achane A. Hill A. Tua A. Mostert A. , Smith A. (great move, security blanket for TUA) Ramsey A. Waddle A. Phillips and Chubb A (tough breaks Man) to be fair and balanced. Worthy and Milton. Killing me. (do they not see potential QB Catastrophic Risk?) I just want a Superbowl...... ok
Needed inside O-Line address and front office ignored it - again. They continue to build from the outside. That is NOT how you build a championship team. You can keep giving them a pass on this but two years in a row they haven’t addressed O-Line in any meaningful way.
I give them a B force should’a took Barton :-)
I would have liked this draft if we got Christian Mahogany or another IOL.
I`ll be the first to say it......on our way baby, past three years, just on the edge, now we see!
overall the only pick i dont like is the rd 1 pick. i wish they took Barton, or took best available (mitchell/arnold) or traded up a couple picks
So my instant reaction for day 3... flip your grades and you got where I'm at. As a whole, I couldn't be more disappointed.
With a HUGE need at G/C and DT, I absolutely HATE the RB pick. Especially giving up a 3rd rd pick for a position that already has a ton of depth.
The 2nd edge is whatever. Glad they got the S.
But again, 2 WR's when max need was 1. And no DT or G.
This was a trash day 3.
And for the record. The thing I care the least about is adding more speed (aka finesse) on offense. The more speed is added, the more I'm looking for McDaniel to be on the hot seat.
🤡🤡
I would have liked a Bigger RB, Short Yardage Guy an Earl Cambell Type. Miami didn't Draft a TE which is disappointing, would have liked a Tall TE like Brevin Spann-Ford.
One OL in the whole draft. Wow! Grier must be allergic to O lineman
Unless we get OL in FA
@@bryangonzalez4604 And how often do undrafted fa turn out to be elite OL? Not to many
@@Daren-fh5nm no but there are options
I have on sound 👋
Not how I would of drafted this year but its done. Let's go new Miami Dolphin players!
Is it bad I like our 7th RD WR better than the 4th?
A# good job . Go phinz .
I dont mind that grier traded next year 3rd round pick. Grier had never hit in the 3rd round other then jerome baker but he was a utility lb at best definitely not a probowl player. Channing tindale hasn't seen the field. Leon carooo, in the 3rd, omg, i can go on. Basicly, Griers 3rd round picks are no better then his 7th round picks. Coming into this draft, grier had 54 picks and only 5 of them were probowlers. X and tunsil were his best picks next to van ginkle in the 5th.
We needed a guard
Why didn't the dolphins draft Christian Mahogany og with pick 198?
