It's amazing what's inside an old piece of wood. It just takes a masters hand to bring out it's beauty.

I find these videos calming, and very nice to watch. To see something others would consider ugly and worth discarding, turned into a breathtaking masterpiece. There's something poetic about the method in which you transform what is essentially trash, into a priceless treasure. Masterful. 👏👏

Bravæ! This is an incredible piece! Sometimes I get tired of resin. Especially solid colors that hide the raw edges of burl. Thank you for preserving this piece! 🤟💐🌺🍀

I have watched quite a number of your videos in the past and was surprised to hear this one narrated. Makes it so much more watchable and you explain the concepts you are using very well. I definitely like it. All the pieces I have watched you make have been amazing, and because I have missed the last few weeks worth, I have a bunch to catch up on. Thanks for making these.

Aside from being absolutely cool, I love to see burls, it reminds me very much of the movie "Alien", with Sigourney Weaver. If you don't have a bouquet to put in it, I bet you could find a little alien that will fit nicely.

Question though, how many hours go into a piece like this? And roughly what would someone pay for it?

    • @DavidsWoodturning

Thanks 😊 About 8-10hrs. This piece was sold for £620 GBP. Since I do this for a living there are loads of factors contributing to the final price.
