Can’t wait for my BB Fix! (Bargain Barons, dah)👍👍👍👍☮️❤️🇺🇸 I’m so bummed Sherman pin gone! Thanks to you guys, I got my Ma & me going through her drawers and drawers of custom jewelry! I’ll keep you posted if we find any. She’s got a lot! She was avid (Still is) garage sale pro but she didn’t know about Sherman jewelry either. Well worth the trip back ! 😆
Well I'm learning from another viewer, that Sherman was a Canadian company (I didn't know that), so it may be harder to find south of Canada.... I would imagine it does exist down in the US though...
Nice.... You guys have such great calm personalities.... And I always say... Buy it when you see it because you don't always get second chances... Go with your gut instinct! Love from the Gulf Coast of Alabama 😎. Peace
Definitely!! We usually go with that line of thinking too - not sure why Karen left that Sherman set on Day 1 - oh well... :/ We still got some good things. :) Hindsight is 20/20 right? hahaha. :)
@@BargainBarons Right!!! And sometimes you have to show restraint... Especially if you already have the same item....we ladies don't always like to spend money! Lol Have a great one!
I love the music you play. It sounds country but yet not ..Lol ... I also like the way you show things at the end... I have a few old things that my husband inherited. Once when I was garage selling I wanted the frame on a picture. ($5.00) I was going to throw out the picture and put something else in the frame. I never did it and when we moved to California it came with us. I hung it above the fireplace. I was looking at it one day and I knew the framing was done by an exclusive photoshop in our hometown. So started looking at the name on the picture and realized it was not a print but a water painting. We looked up the name online and realized she was a painter from Colorado in the 1800s ... So my husband took a picture of it and sent it to a museum there. We received an answer back saying the value is in the low to mid thousands. Glad I held onto it now! ...
Thanks!! It's a lof of jazz music, but the song at the end, during the photos and totals is kind of country. :D Great find on your painting!! Nice story! Thanks for sharing! =)
Thank you so much for treasure hunting for me! 🤗 You guys are the best! ❤️ Great jewellery finds! It was worth going back the second day of the sale. 😊
18 karat!!! That's an amazing surprise for you I'm sure because I don't believe you noticed that there at the rummage sale! Keep the videos coming I watch them here in Houston Texas every time the new one comes out!!! I wish I could come to Canada just to meet you in person!
There were no discernible markings on the brooch we could find, but the color was spot on for gold, so Karen tested it and found it to be 18K! *WOOHOO!* :D
That's really awesome. I know you guys have discussed Sherman before. This reminds me, I should check my old vintage costume jewelry, specifically brooches. When I got married a couple years back, I got a TON of sparkly vintage brooches and earrings to make my bouquet, and now I am wondering if any are Sherman.
OMG, the 18k gold and citrine brooch!! And to think Karen was like, "oh, it's sparkly and clearly vintage, may as well throw it on the pile." haha. Kick arse!
I find the cheaper mass produced milkglass bud vases look great on the dinner table with lit candles. They look nice with other seasonal décor around the bases on the table also.
If there is a heart on it, it's probably for an echocardiogram lab. I know so many medical terms, and am not in the medical feild... what has my life become lol. The feeling you get for wanting the drink is called the Pavlovian effect. ^-^. The rainbow glass beads on the Sherman stuff is SO pretty. Also, even if the big pearl necklace were glass beads, you can't even get one glass bead that pretty and big for $1, so worst case, you still got an awesome deal ^-^. Great video guys ♡.
I'm sure you're *100% correct!* about that echo lab :D and yes, we are a couple of Pavlov's dogs when it cxomes to some smells! hahahahaha! =) I think glass beads would have been worth more!! LOL
Great church sale! You found some awesome deals. Our church sales are only ever 1 day and the leftover items are usually donated somewhere. I found it rather odd how they mark all the purchases sold and don't take customers word. Not very trusting for a church. I have that same Milk Glass vase siting in my livingroom. lol I probably paid between $1-$3 here in Ontario. Its still cold here. Hasn't been a great spring. Too wet & too cold.
Thanks Diane! Yeah.. I guess the checking at the door is really just a sign of the times hey? Too bad. It's finally warmed up here - we are right around 85°F today. :)
Here in Colorado it snowed HEAVY on May 29th! Let me tell you, I was NOT very happy! By June 1st, however, it was almost 70 Fahrenheit or, I think around 30 or 40 Celsius.
Thanks Susan!! :D We used to rub them on our teeth, but it's kinda gross, because you don't know how dirty they are. So instead, if you rub 2 pearls together, you will also feel the roughness - and you don't have to get those germs in your mouth! hahahaha.
Rob keep your eyes open at the next few garage sales for a wheelbarrow. You'll need it to shuttle Karen to the truck when she finally puts on all of her jewelry. :-)
Hello! I really enjoy watching your videos, they are well taken, I like that I can watch you moving around without getting dizzy. You both are very polite and seem to have good morals. I am curious why you, Karen, have the facial piercings. I understand some have them for ID purposes of belonging to a group, others do it out of rebellion, and some for other reasons. I think you would look much prettier without the ones in your lip and nose. But you are beautiful as you are.
Ok gotta tell you a story.... I went to Walmart and found a black light flashlight. I went into my car to put it together (batteries) I tried the batteries over and over,to my surprise I couldn’t hold the batteries, So hot ! Took them back into the store and a young man showed me the battery was leaking!! I got my $ back and left the store. The black light flashlight was $10 ! I’ve seen better prices. Any suggestions?
We bought ours from Ebay - $1 or $2, free shipping straight from China. It takes awhile getting here, but we ordered a bunch, and gave some out to friends etc... www.ebay.com/itm/UV-Ultra-Violet-395-365-nM-LED-Flashlight-Blacklight-Inspection-Lamp-Torch-hi/143391735243?
No offense to those who like it, but those potato pearls were Ugly with a capital U! I actually lol'd when I read the name of them, perfect. I love pearls, but not fresh water ones. Their shapes, even the round ones, are just not right somehow..
LOL I agree, they are not the most elegant looking things are they!? LOL I think for pearls, regular salt-water perfectly round pearls are the nicest...
I was waiting for them to say I looked in like there this price it upsets me when yard sales!!! Say that its not a retail store n ur was dontaed for free I understand they need to make money but wow hahahha just my opinion lol rob u are so sweet to give that lady ur coupon book awwwwww love u guys gots some great things woohoo !!! Great finds .... still voting for your yard video ❤️👍🏻😇

It gets windy in the prairies land is so flat for miles lol where we have mountains here in BC and it's very green here lol. 😃
I (rob) was born here in Regina, but raised in Victoria - spent 15 years of my life there. :) BEAUTIFUL province!!!!

Also "CORO" is another collectible brand of costume jewelry.
Love your calm, relaxed demeanor. Such pleasant videos

Thanks again Cindy! =) Glad you are enjoying our antiquing adventures! :D
WOW NICE PIN MISS K👍👍👍YOU ARE ONE SMART LADY.
So kind of you give that lady your free book coupons!

Congratulations on the citrine brooch. You could see the quality in that piece.
YES!! I knew you would approve of that one!! :D :D :D
Hey Guys 🙂

Was it Kate I thought it looked like gold. I was thinking the stone might have been rock crystal.
The milk glass vase you bought for 5.00 i have in my bathroom. We use it to hold our toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Haha! Cool! :D
