  • Australian audiences are finally getting a look at Oscar nominated comedy, American Fiction. On this week’s Reel Talk episode, Ben reviews the movie, which Cord Jefferson adapted from Percival Everett’s 2001 novel, Erasure, to the screen. Starring Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) as Thelonious “Monk” Ellison, an academic and frustrated author, who pens a deliberately cliche novel about life in the ‘hood under a nom de plume, as a prank on publishing houses, only for it to become a best-seller, with a movie deal to boot. Does American Fiction live up to the movie awards hype? Watch Ben’s review NOW to see for yourself. And remember to subscribe for more interviews and movie reviews.
American Fiction is available on Amazon Prime from February 27.
