Animal rescue farm collects Christmas trees to feed goats

As the Christmas season comes to a close, some Marylanders may wonder what to do with their live tree. Farm Sweet Farm in Mount Airy, a nonprofit animal rescue, is accepting Christmas tree donations starting Thursday to help feed its goats. Seven pigs and 29 sheep and goats currently call Farm Sweet Farm home. The farm's co-owner, Missy Saul, told 11 News she discovered their goats like the taste of Christmas tree needles, which are a nutritious snack.
