Its a great antenna but why did you only use RG58 coax? I hope its not a long cable run. RG8 or RG8X would be a minimum, i think. The waterproof self -sealing tape is called amalgamating/amalgamated tape. I want the same antenna for my QTH, too. 73
if you can get this item in your country, I'm not sure. The English name for this item I believe is called "gabled end Mount for antenna mast" Here is the link for the Norwegian Item www.biltema.no/kontor-teknikk/tv-utstyr/antenner/antennefeste/gavlfeste-2000017608 for the english versjon it might be somthing like this. www.solidsignal.com/winegard-adjustable-gable-end-mount-for-antenna-masts-sw-0012 How solid and how that one isworking, i dont know, you have to take a look on that. I'm not Making any product recommendation
Yeah Kinda . But when the Lightning is up. I pull out the antenna from the radio also when I travel. As I understand you kinda don’t need to ground it because of the small “spikes” knocking the wave into the ground before it travels. With HF you do need to ground it but not so much with VHF as I understand. 73

At the time i couldn’t afford to a better cable. It is short as possible. I have received transmission on it.
@LB6QJ I understand but I don't want to do the job twice. Atleast you can now play radio.🍻🤠
Hi.....where did you order that antenna bracket from?

Very informative video. Thank you. Shouldn't the antenna be grounded and lightning protected to assure safety?
