The worst decision of our life was taking admission in Iqra University. We have wasted 15 years pursuing an MS (CS) from Iqra University. Please don’t waste your time and money here-consider any other university instead. If you’re still unsure, try finding a single student who successfully completed an MS (CS) with a thesis between 2007 and 2016. Hundreds, if not thousands, of students have fallen victim to the department’s internal politics and teacher lobbying. Many students completed 33 credit hours, but the Computer Science Department’s Dean, Dr. Kamran Raza, refused to approve their thesis because their supervisors weren’t part of his lobby. Talented teachers like Dr. Hussain (now Dean at KIET) and Dr. Rehan Qureshi (now Dean at Sir Syed University) were forced to leave after conflicts with Kamran Raza or Hassan Adil or Mansoor Ibrahim. Moreover, while the HEC requires only 30 credit hours for an MS degree, Iqra University enforces 36 credit hours, unlike other reputable institutions like FAST, SZABIST, or MAJU. Dean Dr Kamran Raza, was terminated in January 2024 after our repeated complains to citizens portal, HEC and VC. Avoid this university at all costs.
