Incase anyone was wondering why he didnt shoot an arrow in the first place. The General is highly respected, Even by his enemies. So, What better way to go out then by sending him an army. Once he has done that, The other general hits him with a poison arrow to finish him. But nah, Jackie aint going down that easily. So, The general that fires the arrow gives an honourable bow before finishing the job and killing on top a mountain of soliders :P
a little bit supplementary: at the beginning, several soldiers, who were fighting against the General and killed later, tried to persuaded him to surrender. and all those soldiers including another general who shot arrow and finally cut the General's head are used to be his vessel.
@@alokmittar1034 Well, in some ways, it's a bit of a mercy. He was obviously exhausted but he wasn't going to just surrender/collapse and allow himself to be captured. So shoot him in the knee and let the highest rank person do the honors of killing him
Historically General Meng Yi (played by Jackie Chan) didn't die like this. He was ordered to commit suicide by the Emperor on false charges of treason.
-After taking the arrow... i reach with the last ounce of my strength over to the spear of an enemy, as i place it behind my back. my strength is failing... as my blade seems to quiver its way out of mt grip, but i force myself not to let go. hoping that i bought enough time for my ally to escape. i stood there shaking under gravity, as i no longer have the strength to move. The enemy seems to mistaken me for being in rage, as they back away, and their general comes forward to check me. Finally, as the general noticed i have just about lost consciousness... he bows his head and slices... then silence... i can no longer hear anything but the rubbing of metal, as the world goes around me and i fall into darkness.
They are all the same team but the other team doesn't believe that the king is sick or something so Jackie have to come and show the plate but things didn't went as they want.
Ye Ye I know it is late, but it’s not because they didn’t believe the emperor was sick, but because they allied with the prince who want to take over so they needed to prevent the other group from delivering the medicine to the emperor.
A perfect fit to ancient chinese saying(came from a poem from Tang dynasty Li bai): Its gate guarded only by one man, but even ten thousand cant get pass. Heard rumors that there was really such a battle during the Qin Dynasty when there were internal strifes in the country. Still find it unbelievable if this is true.
Its not. Meng Yi die by his own hand, after the Crown Prince which he suppreted choose not to fight for the empire and killed him self. Meng Yi did the same.
Good point. But there are many Qin Generals during the Qin Dynasty who can fight this well because they fight many wars and duels. So such a scene during the Qin Dynasty is definitely highly possible given the high quality of all Qin Generals.
At the end when you see those people waving their hands is because in the fight not all of them are dead, some just get cut and slash but still alive and i think they are trying to get out of that big pile of corpes
they should make a Small game for this, like you co op with other players against this endless hoard, as you survive as long as you can to buy time for your allies to run.
That is correct. The rebel general was played by Yu Rongguang. He actually appeared in many, many of Jackie's films in the 90s/2000s usually as a minor character with only a few scenes. Guan Yu in the Three Kingdoms 2010 was one of his big breakout roles.
TFE niname It looks like a run on sentence with wrong words being used. That can throw off the meaning of what you're trying to say. Proper sentence structure and punctuation will fix that so people won't have to ask what you're talking about.

The first time i saw this movie i lowkey cried, the transitions and the story telling are just amazing imo

This scene illustrates really well of Chinese dying in honour, and respect from the enemy
Legendary last stand scene!
Glad to see protection with armor hasn't been ignored.
I freaking cried at the ending when I watched it.....NOW U MAKE ME CRYSTAL AGAIN WHY DID I SEARCH THIS UP!!!,
when anyone says Jackie chan is kid friendly.....
Sad man just..... sad i hope jackie never retires and never dies
I just realized that the rebel general is Master Li from Karate Kid
Idk what it is but this movie has a special spark to it that i’ve never seen in other Jackie chan movies
Sad thing is that they would have been comrades in arms if they didn't have different orders.
The real *Strength of a thousand man*

lol 1:51 you see a dead guy turn his head
