That mystery book sounds like a game to be solved, very very interesting. A Murder is Announced was one of the Christie books that I figured our beforehand too 😉
Your videos make me smile. I really like how excited you are about books and how it comes across on the camera. My favorite book in October was Under the Tulip Tree by Michelle Shocklee. I just kept thinking about it even after I finished it.
Whoaaaa.. solved 2 mysteries in a month. 😂🎉🎉 Glad you had a good reading month even without a 5⭐️. I need to write up my reading ratings for discord. Maybe I'll do that today.
I really enjoyed reading and discussing Honest Faith with you! And I do want to try some of his other books, especially since everyone seems to have enjoyed them more than this one.
This was my first book by him. It was accurately pitched to me as Pride and Prejudice with war and some magical elements. I am going to try Children of Time next and see if I like it too. The Woman in White was a great read for this time of year!
@juner1064 ooo, that’s a good pitch! That makes me want to check it out even more. Children of Time is the book of his I’ve had on my radar the longest.
My ❤is happy that you read a Hardy and a Christie in the same month😂😂😂my two favs I am re-reading The Unexpected Guest by Christie it’s one I definitely recommend if you haven’t read it 😊
I love both of them too! It’s been such a long time since I’ve read a Christie. I’ve read almost all of hers, but I don’t know if I’ve read the one you mentioned! I’ll have to check!
It's always interesting to hear different opinions about books. I think The Lost Metal might be my least favorite Mistborn book. But I need a reread to really decide.
Oh, interesting! I’ve only heard love for The Lost Metal! We’ll see where I fall. I didn’t really love The Hero of Ages, so I’m keeping my expectations loose 😂
I just picked up The Witch of Pungo for non-fiction November! The type is dense so I hope it doesn’t lead to procrastination in starting 😂Also, hello fellow (surprise) Virginian 😊
@ I’m excited for it and whoops this comment posted to the wrong video when I was watching my queue 😂🙈 you must have been so confused! But I also loved hearing about your reading month even though the Witch of Pungo had nothing to do with your books. Sorry and you’ve inspired me to try Victober next year.
I feel the same about Thomas Hardy. I'm actually a little leery of investing anymore time in his books because I never know if it's going to be worth it. 🫤Cain's Jawbone sounds crazy but also kind of fun.
I love Hardy’s writing so much that I (almost) never feel like it’s a waste of time to read him. But I totally get it, especially considering how long some of his books are! Cain’s Jawbone is absolutely insane! I don’t know if I would think it was fun if I was reading it by myself, but doing it with friends has made it a really fun experience!
I finished From Stillmeadow and Sugarbridge in October and it was my favorite I finished, BUT I have been reading it for months!
It’s nice to have a favorite that you’ve been enjoying for months!
@@beautifulminutiae it quite possibly will be a favorite of the year❣️
You also predicted the twist in Poor Miss Finch! You were on a roll!!!
Haha it had to have been Cain’s Jawbone at the beginning of the month getting my little gray cells working 😂
@ how Poirot of you 🤗🤣
I’m so glad you got the reference 😂
That mystery book sounds like a game to be solved, very very interesting.
A Murder is Announced was one of the Christie books that I figured our beforehand too 😉
It would be the hardest game ever, but it’s still so fascinating! I have no idea how anyone figures it out!
That Cain’s Jawbone book sounds wild! Even the title is wild!
It really is! Utterly brain-busting 😂
Your hair looks so cute!!!
Aw, thanks 🥰

Aw, thank you for the kind words! Under the Tulip Tree sounds really interesting. I love books that stick with you!
@beautifulminutiae It's historical fiction, so be forewarned. 😉

I was on a roll 😂 It’s so unlike me to see surprises coming!
I really enjoyed reading and discussing Honest Faith with you! And I do want to try some of his other books, especially since everyone seems to have enjoyed them more than this one.
I’m so glad you were able to join in! I know we said this on the liveshows, but HIGHLY recommend Joy in Christ’s Presence!
Belton Estate was middle of the road for me too. It’s the only one I’ve read by him so far.
I keep hearing that some of his works are great, but I just haven’t found any I’ve really enjoyed yet 🤷🏻♀️
Great reading wrap up!
My favorites from the month were Guns of the Dawn by Adrian Tchaikovsky and The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins.
I’ve been meaning to read Tchaikovsky for so long! The Woman in White is amazing! My favorite Wilkie Collins!
This was my first book by him. It was accurately pitched to me as Pride and Prejudice with war and some magical elements. I am going to try Children of Time next and see if I like it too.

Cain’s Jawbone sounds crazy!
It really was! Such a unique book! I doubt I would’ve liked it much if I had read it on its own, but it was so much fun as a group!

I really liked Small Spaces too. The rest of the series went downhill each book for me.
Oh, that’s good to know. Seems like Katherine Arden has a pattern 😂
