Say what u will about the Pats but the tribute to Still was heart stopping and so kind. The cheerleaders wearing his jersey instead of Patriots colors is huge in that world if u dont know
This demonstrates how actual professional players play the game. Sometimes its a mixed bag with football with the egos on the field but these are the people I tend to think higher of. They not only are good at their job but also respectful of others. That is a hell of a lot harder to do than just not caring or showing hatred.
People like him just win in life because they are all love, he might not have won in the league but winning in life is so much better than that, gentle giant with a huge heart I bet
I heard the medical personnel are some of the nicest people on the field. They don't care if it's not their team who has an injury, they are there to make sure everyone is alright and healthy, and I heard that they will often try to help the other team. Not sure if it's true, but it makes sense imo.
Would be a bit stupid for them to hold a grudge. I figured this was common knowledge, same with fans and players being respectful when someone's hurt. (Minus steelers fans)
The patriot cheerleaders in Bengals Jerseys, Kraft donating 25k to Cincy Chikdrens Hospital, and the entire stadium on their feet in support of Still is just all around class. If there were a top 10, that'd be it. Choked me up to see that. Kids don't ever deserve to go through that.
Literally didn't have to donate a thing. It's not a requirement. Pocket change or not, it's the gesture. If he donated a million you'd be complaining too.
This might be my autism but it really tickles my brain how much football players especially look like animals when they get extremely excited + affectionate. The helmet-bonks, back slaps, booty touches, hugs and tackles remind me of a pack of wolves or a herd of horses frolicking around. Pure, unadulterated community, unbidden by societal expectations.
Honest to God I thought Shazier was gonna be the next great mlb after Luke kuechly( spelling sorry). He fit the steelers so well. Such a shame but thank God he is walking still. Dude is such a beast.
As Steeler fan watching that Ryan Shazier one is tough. He was such a good player. I can only imagine what our defense would look like right now if he was still playing.
Tht was really sweet of the Pats honeoing that bengals players daughter with cancer..as a Colts fan that really touche dmy heart...a lot of great people and fans in this league 😊
Good sportsmanship goes a long way to respect not only to the organization, but also the fans. Giants’ Lawrence Taylor is an NFL legend and a beast of nature, but he has the awareness and kindness of calling for help for Joe Thiesmann. Robert Kraft, Mr. I-drafted-Tom-Brady, was aware of the situation about Devon Still and told his cheerleaders to wear the Devon Still jerseys at the game. A home game for the Pats and they support Devon Still. Kindness goes a long way in life. Robert Kraft is the most humble owner in the league, because he also dedicated one of the Devon Still jerseys in a glass case and put it in the Patriots Hall of Fame. For the haters of the Patriots, keep on hating all you want, just know that Boston shows incredible sportsmanship (exception of Red Sox vs Yankees games).
The rivalry between Sox and Yankees can be heated. But when the Boston Bombing happened Yankees were very supportive and had all out class. I had to bite my tongue to say good thing about Yankees since i am a Red Sox Fan
The Yankees-Red Sox thing goes back, what, over a hundred years? There's *really* bad blood there on both sides, but angeleyes4us200's right. There can be class between these two clubs, despite their rivalry being one of the most brutal in the MLB.
Absolutely. Raider Nation gave Brett Favre a standing ovation when he took the field. Other team or not, we can all appreciate losing a parent. We gave him the standing ovation and he whooped us in the game.
Any sport I played I was always told to hit as hard as I can play as hard as I can, and be as mean as you can. Until that play ended, or the whistle blew, then there’s nothing but respect. I fucking love these videos
Watching Zane Gonzalez.... yeah. I know that pain. He brought that pain to the Cardinals. Would have made the playoffs last season if he didn't kick so poorly
3:32 "He is obviously shaken up and in the middle of praying for an injured opponent. Seems like a good time to interrupt him and ask if he wants water." Bobby Boucher is turning in his grave.
I think it's rough for kickers. We put the game on their shoulders more often than any other single position. So many games come down to within a single field goal. It does suck, cause some days that pressure gets to you and that's what causes off days. Idk Gonzalez and if he's good and was having a bad day or what. But that man on the first kick had the pressure of the game on his shoulder and on the second game he had that and the pressure of his own missed kick, which caused him to over correct. Feel bad for the guy
People blame kickers for not getting the game winning field goal but usually it comes down to a FG because your offense didn't perform, so blaming just the kicker like a lot do is just stupid.
i don’t remember who it was but in a feature on Joe Theisman’s knee, someone said, “Lawrence felt worse than Joe probably did at the time” and it shows
The Cleveland kicker one got to me. The kicker for the opposing team gets it. The rest of the world despises him. “You have one job” like yeah, but you’ll never understand. QBs throw incomplete passes, receiver drop passes, running backs fumble the ball, linebackers miss tackles. But it’s so easy to to ridicule the kicker. I can’t imagine an entire game being decided by just you with millions of ppl watching you and only you. I would hate to be a kicker

I love how Tom got up super quick when he noticed Sherman was trying to praise him out of respect
It’s such a damn shame Joe Thomas never got a chance to win in this league. One of the best dudes ever in the game.
I met him and his wife before while working for Enterprise. He was very kind, humble, and just amazing to talk to.
People like him just win in life because they are all love, he might not have won in the league but winning in life is so much better than that, gentle giant with a huge heart I bet
Duke Johnson’s respect to Ryan Shazier is beautiful. He could of easily celebrated a touchdown but on 3 different occasions he shows his respect.
In 3 different games, no less.
Andrew Luck. Good sportsmanship and you can tell his love for the game.
It’s a shame the game ain’t love him tho
Andrew Luck talked to opponents the way you’d talk to a little kid when you let them win in any situation they never would 😂

It is true. The medical personnel for the home team know all the local hospitals and doctors the best so they try to help out as much as possible.
Would be a bit stupid for them to hold a grudge. I figured this was common knowledge, same with fans and players being respectful when someone's hurt. (Minus steelers fans)
