After watching a RUclips video, I would usually look at the comments, get angry and reply to them as if I'm way more intelligent than them. Or I would criticise the video. After watching this, I suddenly realised how hypocritical and pretentious I can be. There were a few small details Carrey stated that I disagreed with, but I found myself accepting what he thought and, more importantly, accepting that my thoughts are meaningless and have no greater significance to his. You don't have to agree with him but just remember that your opinions that you seem so sure about are almost certainly biased to a certain degree and, more importantly, meaningless. Mr 24, I use to feel the same 10 to 15 years ago. I would think both of them were dorks. But I now see Jim Carry is a man who has incredible depth & Elene Deegereth is a sweetheart with a heart of gold. Both are wonderful celebrities & most of all beautiful souls
That state is called mindfulness. If Jim wants to go back there he just has to practise it. Infact EVERYONE should be practising mindfulness. It's beautiful.
Mindfulness is a weak term because in essence it means for the mind to be full of things. But the state in ultimate unity of your intuition lies within the state of nothingness.

I had a similar experience as Jim had but it came to me a little differently. I was walking and talking to, Myself. I said, that's weird, I suddenly feel like I'm here but I'm somewhere ells at the same time. Then, suddenly I felt like I was walking on air. I looked down at my feet, I swear I was walking at least two inches off the ground. When I looked back up, the sky looked different. As if there were a wall, right in front of me. I stepped through it and realized, I wasn't here at all. I was actually in heaven but my mind had lied to me and the reality I had lived all my life wasn't real. It was just a figment of my imagination. All at once, thoughts, millions of thoughts ran through my mind so fast I and I realized I had created this entire world, that I thought I was living in all my life. That all this hell, all the pain I had experienced all my life, was of my own making. That I could change, I could change everything. I could even change the world, I thought, I was living in. That heaven is real! Heaven is all around me. That I can live forever. This world isn't real. Only God and heaven are real. Only love and happiness are real. That I don't have to be unhappy anymore. That with God, I can be anything and anywhere I choose to be. I don't have to live in hell anymore. I can be in heaven with God anytime I choose to be. I only have to believe it. I only need to have enough faith to pray. If I can pray, that in itself proves I have faith. The faith of a mustard seed. Suddenly, I came back down to earth and realized I was at home, in my living room, on my knees, praying. I prayed God to forgive me for all the horrible things I had done in my life. I prayed for Jesus to save me, save me from myself. I don't want to die!! I want to live!! I want to live with you forever. Please God!! Please, Please, Please! Then it happened. I felt Gods love. I felt it come over me like an umbrella. Protecting me from all the evils of this world. It was the most Powerful feeling I have ever felt, Befor or since. In Jesus's name I THANK YOU!! Amen!

Thank you. I met a rastafarian in Croydon England and we talked and argued about religion. Later that night I had a meditation experience where my crazy mind separated itself from me for a moment and I was a whole person with no craziness of thought. I think everyone, whoever they are and whatever experience they have had, are perfect and are god deep inside of themselves, so we can truly love one another however good or bad we are. We can still choose what we want to do, and we can still assess the character of people and make decisions about that, but they still are god, even if they don't know it themselves.
consciousness is an interesting thing, if you think about it. One example of how consciousness affects life is the act of sex. Sex creates life, but is it the sex or the THOUGHT of having sex that started the process into creating life? its obviously the thought that started it, so then you question who or what THOUGHT the universe into existence? we are part of this universe too, and we have the ability to think about creating life, so are we better and smarter than the universe that created us? i guess the answer is no, so looking at what Max Planck said about the mind being the matrix of all matter, i also think there is an underlying intelligence in our universe that is vastly more intelligent than us and we are only a small reflection of what that is. Astrologist gaze out into outer space and have an idea of what the universe looks like, along with the presence of dark matter, if you look closely at those images they actually look like brain cells and neural connections found in the human brain, so i have to wonder whether we are living in another mind.
I have been thinking this for quite some time. I think our brains are far more powerful than we have current knowledge of. I think telepathy in the far future will be 100% confirmed. When in deep meditation I can feel the energy around me and It felt like my brain was either propagating, receiving, or tapping into that energy and it was a truly eye opening event. You know how you can feel someone staring at you? I think that is a clear indication of the things we still don't understand and just like when a lot of people gather such as a church you can feel the energy in the room. I don't associate that with god though.

Ive learned that thinking is a process of the physical brain. It categorizes and makes judgements. It is the director and the actor and the producer. We are not that. We are the quiet one observing it all. Find the boundary between the chaos of the mind and the one who is listening to it and taking it all in. Explore that boundary! I disagree with Jim on many things but I totally get this fascination with consciousness. Through our consciousness, we have freedom and immeasurable potential. Theres a divide, I think. People who are learning this and traveling in this direction. Throwing of the chains of this illusion and running toward freedom. Then those who are binding their SENSE of self, which is the lie, to the essential self. And that is equivalent to voluntary slavery in my opinion.
As an observer you have to try sometimes in order to think something..we are not just observers we can direct thoughts as well with volitional effort, for example if i as an observer perceive that i must think "love" 10 times inside my head, with my effort as.an observer i direct the word "love" ten times..this is control of a thought by consciousness, nobody can deny that..but it doesnt mean that many thoughts are automatic.and out of control..there is an autopilot but a conscious control as well (like moving your arms)

I had a similar experience as Jim had but it came to me a little differently. I was walking and talking to, Myself. I said, that's weird, I suddenly feel like I'm here but I'm somewhere ells at the same time. Then, suddenly I felt like I was walking on air. I looked down at my feet, I swear I was walking at least two inches off the ground. When I looked back up, the sky looked different. As if there were a wall, right in front of me. I stepped through it and realized, I wasn't here at all. I was actually in heaven but my mind had lied to me and the reality I had lived all my life wasn't real. It was just a figment of my imagination. All at once, thoughts, millions of thoughts ran through my mind so fast I and I realized I had created this entire world, that I thought I was living in all my life. That all this hell, all the pain I had experienced all my life, was of my own making. That I could change, I could change everything. I could even change the world, I thought, I was living in. That heaven is real! Heaven is all around me. That I can live forever. This world isn't real. Only God and heaven are real. Only love and happiness are real. That I don't have to be unhappy anymore. That with God, I can be anything and anywhere I choose to be. I don't have to live in hell anymore. I can be in heaven with God anytime I choose to be. I only have to believe it. I only need to have enough faith to pray. If I can pray, that in itself proves I have faith. The faith of a mustard seed. Suddenly, I came back down to earth and realized I was at home, in my living room, on my knees, praying. I prayed God to forgive me for all the horrible things I had done in my life. I prayed for Jesus to save me, save me from myself. I don't want to die!! I want to live!! I want to live with you forever. Please God!! Please, Please, Please! Then it happened. I felt Gods love. I felt it come over me like an umbrella. Protecting me from all the evils of this world. It was the most Powerful feeling I have ever felt, Befor or since. In Jesus's name I THANK YOU!! Amen!

Thank you. I met a rastafarian in Croydon England and we talked and argued about religion. Later that night I had a meditation experience where my crazy mind separated itself from me for a moment and I was a whole person with no craziness of thought. I think everyone, whoever they are and whatever experience they have had, are perfect and are god deep inside of themselves, so we can truly love one another however good or bad we are. We can still choose what we want to do, and we can still assess the character of people and make decisions about that, but they still are god, even if they don't know it themselves.
consciousness is an interesting thing, if you think about it.
One example of how consciousness affects life is the act of sex. Sex creates life, but is it the sex or the THOUGHT of having sex that started the process into creating life? its obviously the thought that started it, so then you question who or what THOUGHT the universe into existence? we are part of this universe too, and we have the ability to think about creating life, so are we better and smarter than the universe that created us? i guess the answer is no, so looking at what Max Planck said about the mind being the matrix of all matter, i also think there is an underlying intelligence in our universe that is vastly more intelligent than us and we are only a small reflection of what that is. Astrologist gaze out into outer space and have an idea of what the universe looks like, along with the presence of dark matter, if you look closely at those images they actually look like brain cells and neural connections found in the human brain, so i have to wonder whether we are living in another mind.

I have been thinking this for quite some time. I think our brains are far more powerful than we have current knowledge of. I think telepathy in the far future will be 100% confirmed. When in deep meditation I can feel the energy around me and It felt like my brain was either propagating, receiving, or tapping into that energy and it was a truly eye opening event. You know how you can feel someone staring at you? I think that is a clear indication of the things we still don't understand and just like when a lot of people gather such as a church you can feel the energy in the room. I don't associate that with god though.

Mindfulness through meditation is something that I would advise to everyone man it truly is amazing. Positive thinking, developing your will and discipline understanding that we are all connected and that's what truly makes life incredible. Ive learned that thinking is a process of the physical brain. It categorizes and makes judgements. It is the director and the actor and the producer. We are not that. We are the quiet one observing it all.
Find the boundary between the chaos of the mind and the one who is listening to it and taking it all in. Explore that boundary!
I disagree with Jim on many things but I totally get this fascination with consciousness. Through our consciousness, we have freedom and immeasurable potential.
Theres a divide, I think. People who are learning this and traveling in this direction. Throwing of the chains of this illusion and running toward freedom. Then those who are binding their SENSE of self, which is the lie, to the essential self. And that is equivalent to voluntary slavery in my opinion.
As an observer you have to try sometimes in order to think something..we are not just observers we can direct thoughts as well with volitional effort, for example if i as an observer perceive that i must think "love" 10 times inside my head, with my effort as.an observer i direct the word "love" ten times..this is control of a thought by consciousness, nobody can deny that..but it doesnt mean that many thoughts are automatic.and out of control..there is an autopilot but a conscious control as well (like moving your arms)

There are many true realities. A lot of people say it is not good or bad. It is what you decide it is. I take it to mean that there are a lot of gray areas in life. Though I have an idea what ULTIMATE reality is, it isn't till I'm there that I can experience it fully.
