I played garfield kart on the 3DS and there were absolutely no bugs and no frame rate drops. I think garfield kart furious racing should have all the shortcuts from the old game and the same maps. They changed the maps in the second game to not be as open. On the map where you can see the cars and the buildings, the doors used to be open so you could actually go off track and look at all the scenery etc. The factory map didn’t really have any fences so you could take a reeeeeaaally long shortcut and it worked perfectly. In my opinion, the first one is better but everyone has their own opinion.
great review but its weird because I didn't actually experience any issues or bugs with the original game - I have 5 hours on it and have had fun. That being said, I wish that I knew there was a re-make before buying it
One thing i dislike about developers these days are they making remakes/remasters and selling them as brand new games and/or bundling them together. I've been guilty of buying at least 2 pair of games that were the same, renamed, sold in bundles. But thanks for the review, it helps alot when people compare more than one version, sometimes the newer games are the worse choice. I've got Garfield Kart for free so it's no biggie, just it was 6 months before Furious Racing got released.
I like the 1st one more because of more shortcuts and glitches. Furious racing just has better graphics, little bug fixes and online multiplayer even though you can play online on the official Garfield kart too. Nice comparison though and great video!
Garfield Kart Furious Racing is currently $1.49 on Steam, and the original is a mere 49 cents. However, if you get them both together in the bundle... it's $1.49. So you can buy the bundle for the price of the remaster and literally get the broken original one for freakin' free. ...Yeah, dunno what to make of that, haha. Might just get the bundle just for the funnies.

On Garfield kart it seems like you have to unlock characters and on Garfield kart furious racing you already have all characters you just have to unlock some hats and car backs I don’t have Garfield kart but I do have furious racing

Thanks for the honest review, as I was looking for more Kart Racers to put into my Steam library, and it's currently 15 buck bundled with the original trash version, so looks like I'll be waiting till this one goes on a sale for $5 of less.

DadDude yeah I just played it with the online beta thing and yesterday I got both games for the price of the new one and I played with my friends yesterday than we got on today and they were shocked when I took all shortcuts and I was like I’m a pro
Bought it on sale for a few cents, refunded it about half an hour in. The controls are way too janky, but anyways, it's not for me. Maybe if you've got kids to buy it for, they'll probably love it.
