Thank you for the information and help. I have a impromptu speech in about a week and im finally getting the flow of how to transition from preview to reason to example and etc. My question is how do i make a proper knowledge map when practicing are there specific topics you would suggest for impromptu, because i am finding a hard time linking my niches to my reasons and examples section. My niches are/were Sports, Anime, & Greek mythology.
I just did an impromptu speech this weekend and I used a lot of these tips! It used to be so scary but not I'm kind of addicted to the adrenaline rush of speaking without prepping 😂❤️
I'm watching this video an hour before an impromptu speaking contest. I've had experienced delivering a speech without preparation but the maximum time I could ramble on is only a minute. Exceeding that, I will have nothing more to say, I will start to stutter and my points will no longer be connected to each other.
I am so much better at impromptu at being real and authentic. When I prepare I feel like a robot and somehow loose my authentic approach. I like these tips!
I think asking why is extremely important since - as you mentioned - it takes the listening experience from passive to active. I like the idea of finishing before you’re finished too! You definitely model that. ✅
I learned this through acting classes. We just had to improvise a conversation. Also when I had to interview people just by knowing a little bit of them I could improv. Great great tips!!! By the way love your space.

One of the best experiences I had was going to a speech and debate camp growing up in which one of the events was impromptu speaking -- tons of fun and incredibly challenging at a younger age to start developing those valuable public speaking skills.
If someone asks a specific question it's easier, just answer it but when the general question of ''can you share a few words?" puts you on the spot then I can see deer in headlights 😳 Really great idea here broken down in simple but very tangible points. Knowing your audience is key and I love that last tip Riaz...finish before you're finished, I'm going to remember that.
Thank you coach it is very useful gonna use this framework . I'm a student my teacher gave us the assignment that we will do impromptu speech on our class tomorrow sept. 10, 2024 it helps a lot ❤
I like to think of it as "channeling!" Leaning on my higher self and the Universe, and trusting that the right message came through that reaches people in the way they're meant to receive it.
These tips are precious and the examples provided in which "Wh" questions did give me a clear idea of how I should do my impromptu speeches now and in the future.
I’ll have my Impromptu-Persuasive Speech next month, probably, and I’m really anxious about it cos I’m not a good public speaker. I tend to stutter and, i dont know, for some reason, my brain doesn’t work! It’s being dominated by dear and nervousness that’s why huhu
Mystery Unlocked!! Great points again ...my impromptu is generally personalizing my speech according to the viewers, just like you explained. Thanks for the useful points.
The 5 Ws seem so basic but it's true that if you really know how to nail those basics, you can speak about anything and make it relevant to your audience! I will try to keep that in mind next time I have to speak without prep. :)
Great video! Hey my recent video talks about how i started crying when i had to deliver a presentation! Ever since, I've been learning how to become a better speaker and I continue to learn....I will use these tips! thank you Riaz
I appreciate this information. Your description is clear and concise. You are also convincing in your words. You look sharp, yet, you make your audience feel we can attain this skill easily. Thank you very much
5:00 Love the way you explain this! It's really about having clarity on what we want to communicate in the context of the audience. I always try to start with this! Thanks Riaz!

2 minutes and 20 seconds in and you finally started to address the topic. That much time giving example of when you might need to speak off the cuff lost me.
Good on your for stepping into the arena. The best way to face this impromptu fear is action. Keep putting yourself out there and clap for yourself in the beginning. People will admire and respect your confidence to learn, grow and get better :)

I thought I was the only one?

2 minutes and 20 seconds in and you finally started to address the topic. That much time giving example of when you might need to speak off the cuff lost me.

Sort out your hair and eyebrows, English is there for you, it may not be native for you, but you can learn.
