Hi Anita , applauds for a very good explanation about the process. I have a quick doubt though. Can you please help me with below queries? I am holding Global business permit which is gonna expire this December. However, due to some personal reasons I moved back to India in June 2023. I was not aware that my BRP is still active until last week when I received a message from UKVI to convert into eVisa. Can I travel during this time that is left till December? Will anyone question my existence in UK for past 1 year? Is it a good move to convert to eVisa? How it will affect my future opportunities in UK?
Hi Kiran, E-Visa will be used for immigration only after Dec 2024 at UK Border. Till Dec 2024 BRP cards will be used for immigration process. If you have a valid visa and valid BRP card you can travel to the UK. If you are traveling through UAE countries (transit) sometimes they will be asking for the E-Visa. So it is better to apply for an E-Visa as soon as possible and get it ready. For more clarifications and details please contact UKVI : www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk
I have not surname so what should i write in surname while create UKVI account because if i not write anything in this column it shows me error. Thanks in advance
If you don't have a surname , please enter the hyphen "-" into this field. For more clarification please visit the website below : ukimmigration-support-webchat.homeoffice.gov.uk/evisa
If you have a biometric residence card (BRC) and you have been granted status under the EU Settlement Scheme, then you already have an eVisa and you do not need to take any action to obtain one. You can find details of how to access and use your eVisa (your digital status) in your grant letter or email. You should continue to carry your BRC with you when you travel internationally.
Very clear explanation, but if I want to apply for children as well, how can I add them? Thank you
It's the same procedure, instead of creating an account for myself , the option someone else needs to be selected and needs to be processed.
Good info 👍

Hi, you can either use your passport details or BRP card details to create an UKVI account and apply for an E-Visa.
