  • How to wire a VFD and AC Motor:
    👉 • Connecting a 2.2kW AC ...
    In this video I'm setting up a AC motor which will be used for a CNC lathe. I will do some wiring with MACH3 and setup those devices. Also I did a test run of the motor with the PC MACH3 CNC control. I hope you will enjoy. I'm going to make a working CNC lathe with components I'm using in this and other videos so if you're interested I suggest to subscribe this channel!

      I made some time ago a video about linuxcnc configuration on my cnc lathe basis. It's a bit less quality than my recent videos but there's all you need to configure what you need. The VFD setup is exactly the same as for mach3. Link below.

      @@ar-roihanchannel7255 I have never had a hyanyang VFD so I can't tell you but you will need to find in the manual where to connect forward run command signal and use the relay outputs as on the video and find the analog inputs on the vfd and feed in those the analog signal from the parallel board. I think if you find a wiring diagram you should do well

      VFD - Sako SKI780 (can be found on aliexpress)
      Motor - 2.2kW 400V 50Hz (bought used from local ebay)
      Breakout board (the one connected to pc) is the cheapest parallel CNC breakout board available on aliexpress
      The power module and transformer are just to make 12VDC out of 230V AC (I had those lying around) - you can use any 12VDC power supply instead (the breakout board needs 12V input in order to work properly)

      Hello! The configuration should be similar to what you see here. If you need more information about rnr ecomotion check out my video where I showed H100-2.2T4 vfd setup. There was somebody in the comment section who gave info about how to setup the vfd with RNR board.

    • @GBWM_CNC
      @GBWM_CNC  3 года назад

      @@cr2fabrication haha! 😅😅 There are many factors to take under consideration. But I think the main reasons to take a servo for spindle drive is the ability to "clamp" the shaft by using a control signal, they're usually lighter than usual 3 phase motors in the same power range and there are many ways to control the motor. But if the price matters then the standard 3 phase motors might be the way to go.
